Blender Tutorial Series - Part 004 - The Mouth

Anyone want to practice by making a music video out of one of my songs? Who knows, it could lead to big things someday. I don't know if I have time to learn all of this and do a good job, and it would be so nice to have an animated music videos like that Dan Bull "Thoughts on Porn" video.

I absolutely LOVE your work!!!! I wish that *I* could do this!!! I WANT to learn how to do this! My only thing is this. When you pull parts out, or shave them down, or make dimensions, or smooth parts over etc, etc, I have no idea what keys you're hitting to actually do all of this. I feel like a baby when it comes to this. I'm super new to it. Do you have any tutorials for the less technically advanced person like myself? A step by step, point by point guide? If not, then PLEASE make some. Thx

I've never been more aware of my own tongue. I'm closing up show for the night, but I can't wait to start on the teeth. I keep feeling around on mine, getting a sense of the angles and edges and general shapes. I'm betting this will be the most complex part of the modeling, save maybe for the fingers . . . hoping, anyway.

Just wanted to point out, That you can also shift + D the gum line. And move it to the side then work on your teeth that way. As I am making more of a cartoon style face. the gum lines are really different. And by using my method it makes it alot easier. Just remember to delete the extra gums. Not like there is anything wrong with your style. Keep up the great work can't w8 to see the rest

I've been following along this quite faithfully since yesterday, and I must say that the model I've got going on is looking really awesome. I've only used this program long enough to know basic shortcuts, but I'm already modeling like a pro. Thanks a lot!

dude, you should us hypercam to record your videos, I use it all the time and it has never given my any problem at all.......

this may sound wierd, but my sculp tool only works for a few minutes after i restart my computer! i think it senses my mouse is a tablet set to 0% but i cant find a solution. i uninstalled my tabled drivers, and now it only works for like 10 minutes after i restart my computer :/

ps. You dont have to hit ctrl-L to select linked vertices, just l will do.

dam what your doing makes me go i have seen this before man i remember the older pc games when you watch through the character you could see the inside of the mouth and everything however made thoughs models put a lot of work into them the inside of the mouth and a tongue man i so weird look at someone make what you so use to just play and not thinking about these things.

Are the triangles fine? the ones in the inside of the mouth? cuz they said it's like a sin to have too many triangles in the mesh right?

I dont mean to sound like a noob but when i spawn the cube for the teeth and subdivide it does not stay in a square form and kind goes all wierd on me was hopin you could give me some advice on how to fix this plz and thank you ahead of time =)

Sup man, I just wanna say that I really look forward to your tutorials, the way you build and sculpt is unreal. I am trying my best to learn everything about blender that I can, I haven't really gotten grab and mold stuff down, but watching your tutorials really makes me wanna Learn more and get better.
