Will we be able to have it push 2.0A if we want? It would be nice to drive it hard if you are only going to use it for 60 seconds or so in cool weather. I hardly ever use a flashlight for more than a couple of minutes.
Thanks for the update - can't wait to get my hands on it.
One question: here you referred to the power board as PWM, but earlier you described it as a buck-boost with current limiter. What voltage / current control mechanism is it using?
@MaxwellsDaemon he is using both. The board driver is a dual current buck-boost (awesome!), but that can be run with a separate much slower pwm which is still invisible to the user and allows for continuous dimming.
@HappyPel I don't want to release anything until I am shipping... and I can't say for sure when I will ship. Every step has taken too long and I am hesitant to make any shipping promises because I already missed the holiday season.
@TheHexbright No worries, a well engineered product tops a rushed one! It is looking great so far. I am thinking of what interesting applications the accelerometer could yield.

@nickrp88 Thanks for clarifying this for me - as long as the PWM is >100Hz this sounds like a great solution.

Awesome and thanks for the update.

Yay updates! Making me itchy for my hexbright though!
