Watching this skit, he definitely says, "Child, I've been here all along." and I bawl, and bawl. And bawl.

i love this skit everytime i watch it makes me cry and im serious EVRY TIME because ive been through pressures like that and felt alone and like nobody was there for me and when iwatched this skit it made me open my eyes and realize that no matter what god will always be there with you through ANY situation. GREAT JOB!!
The youth from my church did this at an outreach event and at my church. I've seen this 3 times, live, and each time it amazes me. Our God loves us too much to give up on us :] Glory, honor and power be to the Almighty God, whose love is greater than our shortcomings. :)
the FCA at my school is the biggest one in the state there is over five thousand kids in it and we went to LSU to wach this, i was with my girl friend my bestfriend and one of the coolest kids in the chool and i dint care i just threw my hands in the air and let my tears out,it was amazing watching it,i went in thinking i was a hard ass and nobod could tell my anything and walked oout both tear free regret free and sin free if u get the chance to see this go deffinitly it will change your life

this skit personified everything i feel about how my life was affected by sin and just all the things that distract me from the real truth, that god loves me and made me to be a good person. when i first saw this at a retreat for my senior class, I cried so hard, and was and still am deeply touched. sometimes we get so blinded by all the evil and pain in the world, we lose sight of god, and doubt hiim. i know i made mistakes, but i also know now that it's not to late to turn back to God. <3

There's no reason to be so hostile. You're allowed to have your own opinion without expressing it in a rude and affrontable way. And what makes you think that people who see this don't want to go and have "REAL religious faith"? Yes, I'm sure some people see this and remain exactly as they are save for having a false feeling of spirituality. But who's to say that the majority fit in that parametre? People actively looking up this skit could very well be looking to further their own faith.

We are not automatically condemned when we sin. Christians aren't perfect, if we were we wouldnt need a saviour, and Christ's death would have been for nothing.

A perfect example is when Jesus is on the cross in between two criminals. But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, 'Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? Everyone sins. No one is perfect, that is what the video is portraying. It is also saying that even though we are all sinners that isnt the end. We still have a choice at eternal life. The cross and the most significant event that took place on the cross is a symbol to everyone. The sunday school version of how to be a Christian is the best way to say it, even though it is cliche,' Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.'
To reply to NightOfTheShape2, Jesus did die for us so that we could be forgiven of our sins and have the chance to live eternity with christ or turn your back, in which case spend eternity suffering. We all have free will, the greatest gift God gave us, that is why we have missionaries and people to reach out to the world and let them now the Word of the Lord.
Both SarahM1308 and NightOfTheShape2 have very good points. It is healthy to have arguments about religion, it allows for both sides to, hopefully, learn if they are willing. But when it turns into a very heated argument that's taking away from the meaninig of each side and making the goal to win as opposed to inform and learn.

The video is saying that even though we sin, Jesus will still forgive us, NOT that because Jesus will forgive us we should sin or it doesn't matter. It's clearly not saying that because it shows how bad her life was when she was sinning and so saying we shouldn't, we should obey God instead.

Actually, it IS different than watching a live concert on TV....because live concerts on TV are directed by professionals who have been trained to make cuts at the right places.
People are confused because you're "crossing the line" / violating the "180 degree rule" (google it) when you make some of your cuts. The way you (or whoever) edited this makes it unwatchable...it's really just an honest beginner mistake dude. admit to it.
thanks for the comments. Although, I am a professional and the "breaking of the 180 degree rule" was intentional. The cutting of this video was entirely for continuity reasons. The reason why the rule was not obeyed, was because the actress in this video is disoriented with all of these different decisions. Therefore I decided to shoot and edit this way to give the audience the movement of disorientation. haha, not a beginner mistake. Stanley Kubrick was the king of this. Google it.
@VforVideo Scenario breakdown....this video was shot during about 4 practice runs with two cameras. The cameras were re-positioned during each take. The problems that developed during editing were that the performers were not in same positions during each take at specific parts of the song. Thereform was limited to specific takes because of this reason to follow continuity. I agree, it can be distracting because of the amount of unnecessary cuts. But, your 180 rule was entirely intentional.
We are but only if the purpose is to help people know Him not to make ourselves look like a better person or to portray that we are somehow more holy or more religious than other people. There is really no such thing as TRUE religion or worship, we worship God in any way we think portrays what we want to say and that is what people are doing by watching or taking part in this skit. No, Total change of life is not true religion it is total change of life. And i needed to take a new comment to make my most inmportant point lol. But anyway what is true religion if this isn't ?? This is a way of showing people their wrong ways and helping them to realise that they can turn back to the Lord, that they don't have to give up hope altogether. It can help people on the way to becoming Christians and so i don't think you should disregard things like this altogether when they can provoke change in someone's life.
I would have to disagree. For some people yes it might just make them cry and stuff and then they'll go back to their old ways but this kind of thing can have a profound effect on some peoples lives when they realise all the things that have went wrong in their life and taken them further away from Jesus. And it is worship, everything can be worship. It doesn't just have to be singing and raising your hands to the Lord you can do it through anything.
I like all of these variations, but I believe the one done at teh church event I went to was the best, because well they were just a bit more dramatic I suppose. I mean like one part I think they actually hurt the main character for effect and when they are dragging her back the fellow actors were not afraid to actually throw her away from the actor playing Jesus. To me it had a more prfounding effect. I talked to the girl later about that and she said. "I have thick skin!" LOL

I saw this skit live over the weeked. Different grou but I've been looking at all the videos fo it and each time it makes me wanna cry! The part where Jesus holds back all those people reminds me of when Jesus got on the Cross. Anyways the people did a GREAT job. Keep doing God's work God bless

i saw this performed at my church when i was going thru some of this...and some i am still battling with..i got to a point where i was hurt and discarded by others and felt i was truly alone. i cried out to the Lord to save me, 'don't leave me Lord. i have lost everything and everyone else, but don't let me lose you.' the pain was undescribable. i felt as if hope was lost and i'd remain alone and without hope, protection, or love. But He was working n he has healed that pain and shown me love.
and i havnt lived long; and yet its as if god pulled me through it all.
this really changed me as a person <3.

A bit of constructive criticism: the actors need to display more extreme emotions on their faces. Joy, desparation, hatred, relief, happiness and other emotions needed in this skit cannot be contrived from a stone face actor no matter how wonderfully they act with their bodies. Kind of like with sign language.
But honestly, this was very spot on in all other regards.
I somewhat agree but as I have learned in acting claqsses you can portay somewhat with the body only . I learned this through using Neutral masks it helped me use more body language but your right about the face it does help sorta complete the performance.

Our youth in South Africa did this skit at one of our alive music events, more than 30ppl got saved. we took it with us on a mini outreach and even more came to know the LORD though i've been a part of this skit for so long it still moves me to tears. this is a very good video!!! it rocks!!! it reminds me of when i got saved but also of the ongoing process of walking with Jesus!! thanks 4 an awesome vid.

There's no reason to be so hostile. You're allowed to have your own opinion without expressing it in a rude and affrontable way. And what makes you think that people who see this don't want to go and have "REAL religious faith"? Yes, I'm sure some people see this and remain exactly as they are save for having a false feeling of spirituality. But who's to say that the majority fit in that parametre? People actively looking up this skit could very well be looking to further their own faith.

...each and every sin he had committed and exclaiming to the Lord that he is unworthy to be in the presen of the Lord. The first is not a true Christian but a proud sinner, where as the other understands his 'filth' and is repenting of his sins, he is the true example of the two.

Everyone sins. No one is perfect, that is what the video is portraying. It is also saying that even though we are all sinners that isnt the end. We still have a choice at eternal life. The cross and the most significant event that took place on the cross is a symbol to everyone. The sunday school version of how to be a Christian is the best way to say it, even though it is cliche,' Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.'

Both SarahM1308 and NightOfTheShape2 have very good points. It is healthy to have arguments about religion, it allows for both sides to, hopefully, learn if they are willing. But when it turns into a very heated argument that's taking away from the meaninig of each side and making the goal to win as opposed to inform and learn.

Just because i argued back to support myself and others who feel the same way doesn't mean i hate you. In fact i probably admire you more than most atheists because at least you have some decent arguements that are more intelligent that just the usual "if God exists why do people die thing"

And anyway, NightOfTheShape2, what would you know about worship seen as you don't believe in God. You may know alot about religion but you clearly don't know anything about what's truly important, that is the relationship Christians enter into with God when they accept Christ as their saviour. I really don't know much about what the Pope or other high religious people think about how Christians should act, i only know that God loves every one of us and wants us to be with Him forever.

He died so our sins could be FORGIVEN! Everyone sin's so if what you were saying is true then no one would be able to be with Christ.
The video is saying that even though we sin, Jesus will still forgive us, NOT that because Jesus will forgive us we should sin or it doesn't matter. It's clearly not saying that because it shows how bad her life was when she was sinning and so saying we shouldn't, we should obey God instead.

Actually, it IS different than watching a live concert on TV....because live concerts on TV are directed by professionals who have been trained to make cuts at the right places.
People are confused because you're "crossing the line" / violating the "180 degree rule" (google it) when you make some of your cuts. The way you (or whoever) edited this makes it unwatchable...it's really just an honest beginner mistake dude. admit to it.

thanks for the comments. Although, I am a professional and the "breaking of the 180 degree rule" was intentional. The cutting of this video was entirely for continuity reasons. The reason why the rule was not obeyed, was because the actress in this video is disoriented with all of these different decisions. Therefore I decided to shoot and edit this way to give the audience the movement of disorientation. haha, not a beginner mistake. Stanley Kubrick was the king of this. Google it.

@VforVideo Scenario breakdown....this video was shot during about 4 practice runs with two cameras. The cameras were re-positioned during each take. The problems that developed during editing were that the performers were not in same positions during each take at specific parts of the song. Thereform was limited to specific takes because of this reason to follow continuity. I agree, it can be distracting because of the amount of unnecessary cuts. But, your 180 rule was entirely intentional.

We are but only if the purpose is to help people know Him not to make ourselves look like a better person or to portray that we are somehow more holy or more religious than other people. There is really no such thing as TRUE religion or worship, we worship God in any way we think portrays what we want to say and that is what people are doing by watching or taking part in this skit. What would you say an example of true religion and worship is then if this isn't?

This is a way of showing people their wrong ways and helping them to realise that they can turn back to the Lord, that they don't have to give up hope altogether. It can help people on the way to becoming Christians and so i don't think you should disregard things like this altogether when they can provoke change in someone's life.

I would have to disagree. For some people yes it might just make them cry and stuff and then they'll go back to their old ways but this kind of thing can have a profound effect on some peoples lives when they realise all the things that have went wrong in their life and taken them further away from Jesus. And it is worship, everything can be worship. It doesn't just have to be singing and raising your hands to the Lord you can do it through anything.

I like all of these variations, but I believe the one done at teh church event I went to was the best, because well they were just a bit more dramatic I suppose. I mean like one part I think they actually hurt the main character for effect and when they are dragging her back the fellow actors were not afraid to actually throw her away from the actor playing Jesus. To me it had a more prfounding effect. I talked to the girl later about that and she said. "I have thick skin!" LOL

i saw this performed at my church when i was going thru some of this...and some i am still battling with..i got to a point where i was hurt and discarded by others and felt i was truly alone. i cried out to the Lord to save me, 'don't leave me Lord. i have lost everything and everyone else, but don't let me lose you.' the pain was undescribable. i felt as if hope was lost and i'd remain alone and without hope, protection, or love. But He was working n he has healed that pain and shown me love.

i suggest u pray hard and just totally be in the lord, expecially when the time that ur gonna perform ur skit because the devil will try so hard to mess u up.
because that was the same that happend to me.i got the flu the day before i was about to do the skit and i just started to pray and fast and i was so much better that i performed the next day.
God is truely amazing he will change ur life forever.

A bit of constructive criticism: the actors need to display more extreme emotions on their faces. Joy, desparation, hatred, relief, happiness and other emotions needed in this skit cannot be contrived from a stone face actor no matter how wonderfully they act with their bodies. Kind of like with sign language.
But honestly, this was very spot on in all other regards.

I somewhat agree but as I have learned in acting claqsses you can portay somewhat with the body only . I learned this through using Neutral masks it helped me use more body language but your right about the face it does help sorta complete the performance.

Our youth in South Africa did this skit at one of our alive music events, more than 30ppl got saved. we took it with us on a mini outreach and even more came to know the LORD though i've been a part of this skit for so long it still moves me to tears. this is a very good video!!! it rocks!!! it reminds me of when i got saved but also of the ongoing process of walking with Jesus!! thanks 4 an awesome vid.
