..:..I liked ur video n ur thoughts on dis illiterate, narrow-minded, sexist, dumb, annoying, stupid woman. Trust me der r many others in da country who hates her fo her immature behaviour n passing of dis hideous law, guess she has brought dis law fo her own benefits. I wonder hw such ppl come into power at such a high level n create a mockery of the law itself. But now she's no more a minister I suppose n jus takes parts in TV debates wer she makes such a fool out of her, unbelievable woman.
WTF! This is no longer feminism, it is misandrism. To call these type of women feminists is to give them cover, just call them for what they are misandrists.
feminists hate men and boys. men will be afraid to marry in the future .if there are problems in a marriage life a woman can complain under dowry act for huge alimony is such men hating woman the end of world?.
society can't bear such extremism
men can't do sexual activities with woman because of false rape case government agent must be monitor the sexual act according to feminists
For those Women in India who feel that Women need to come up and Women should have better facilities and some injustice done to women, Go and check how indian or asian women misuse the laws in Western Countries.go and check how much of shame indian women bring to India and Indian families and parents. go and check once and you will know that Given Power Indians either men or women will misuse it. If you see the Indian women in UK,USA and Australia , You will never save the Girl child.
that same 'feminism' that this video is about is the same 'feminism' that is happening in the west. they both want to elevate women to be revered as better than men, the only difference is the one in the west at least bullshits us into thinking they are for equality, where as the one in india is flat out truthful in letting the world know they are for women greater than men. still 'SOUND' judgment
Renuka Choudhary is one of those Indians who live with an agenda of their own. Like many people concerned and over active for their caste, their language, their region, their religion, their sex, their social status etc she takes the stand for women.
The same feelings are spread to the children or young generation who are watching TV, News or listening the converstation.
A male foetus born to Women like Renuka choudhary will certainly have a poor future.
I haven't watched the actual video that you're talking about, but based on what you've shown she's very, very angry. I'm not entirely certain that I would call her sexist though, because people do and say stupid things when they're arguing over something like domestic violence. And you did mention that he wouldn't allow her the chance to answer many questions.
However, they're obviously going about India law in the wrong manner (in my mind at least). They should look into what the cause of these domestic violence attacks/murders are and deal with it. The problem is that it would seem some of these cases lead to murder before any action can be done to stop it. Don't these women call the police? Or are they not being helped? I don't know much about the situation in India, but according to people I've spoken to from India, most of the police are corrupt.
Men should start a nation of just males. We don't need them for love; homosexual men should start a nation and homosexual women should, i bet we'd do far better seperate.
Now i am scared to have a girlfriend leave the marraige.
If Renuka Chaudhary is so concerned abour women right the i wana ask her @ what happened to the girls who were beaten in the pub for which we saw video evidence. SHe has done nothing for them.
Now the dowry is removed by law so a women can go to in-laws house with her tits and lower part of her body .This will be part of her investment in new home. I will look at this as coming prostitute in home. She can behave how she wants create unbearable dispute ending divorce by men and she waiting for money or property. Well doing fucking women. Please reply my comments.
Sweety Arguseyes.. you have NO idea how women are treated in India - Please read on Sati, dowry deaths, bride burning - which is STILL prevalent in India. Please read up on these.
I don't need to. You don't fight problems with bigotry and evil. If you think that "one-upping" men by abusing them because of slights against women is O.K. then we live in parallel moral universes.
So that give the woman to become worse and do worse things then man. So you call that civil? Women are treated like gods in the day and woman becoming prostitute at night just for the sake of money? Typical India. Hell with indian woman
@starstudded84 Of course he doesn't. He wants to erase many many years of violence against women as if it never existed and pretend it never happened. One man being abused to him is much worse than thousands of women being abused for hundreds of years because men are aggressive apes.
What I want to know is how the fuck Chaudhary managed to get that law passed. Seriously, what kind of self-respecting man would agree with her insane, fucked-up agenda?! You get placed in prison for just disagreeing with a woman, or even accidentley interuppting her?! Yeah, because I feel so abused and trodden-on when my girlfriend interrups me when I'm talking. Christ!
You answered your own question there. A man who would support a law like that is not self respecting, he is self hating.
There are a variety of reasons in total. Chivalry, socialism, misguided attempts to help women, political power, laziness (not reading the whole law, just passing it).
That woman is determined to bring India to it's knees. There is a disaster waiting to happen with this new law, and it's only a matter of time. I smell fascism...
I share your disgust. As soon as the interviewer tried to voice a different viewpoint she immediately accused him of domestic violence. It is sick how she jokes at the end how he had better watch himself.
The Moslem's must be jumping for joy. Chaudhary will win them many converts.
Expect Pakistan's frontier to press closer to New Delhi with Ms. Chaudhary as their unwitting ally.
Make your conversion quick and pack your bags for Pakistan, young Indian men. Life is too short to hang around waiting for sanity to return to your state.
They have done it. They crazy man-hating feminists have done it.33% of seats in Parliament are now reserved for WOMEN! This nonsense of feminism has gone too far.
Now this law has indeed gone too far. I totally agree with you on that point. But let's not forget how many women are world leaders compared to male world leaders. Let's not forget that the US has still never had a female president. Let's not forget that many women in India do need protection.
There is nothing wrong with feminism when it is in favor of EQUAL rights. That's why this new law is totally fucked.
Feminism is hardly ever in favour of equal rights. Because that is not their aim.
What the fuck does leaders have to do with it? We've had a female prime minister here in the U.K. Do you think that British feminists have gone away? Nope. Also the notion is bigoted, that if it's a man then he inherently not going to care about women is a bigoted notion.
@ArgusEyes Feminism takes various forms, egalitarian feminists do just pressure for equality in society, however, there is the 'Radical feminist' sect which says as long as men are here, women will be oppressed. I would call myself as a egalitarian feminist but I agree that radical feminists are as good as nazis. The woman in this video is clearly an idiot who doesn't know what she is talking about, she shouldn't be representative of all feminists. Women are in forms inferior in my opinion.

I don't see how 33% of the seats are reserved either. The parliament isn't like other jobs, it's a representation of the society, and at least a certain amount of each representatives should be there. This goes for other minority groups too. It's like medicine, just cuz you're smart, it doesn't mean you have an advantage. Because being a doctor is so personal that you need people of all kinds. For any other job, that would be insane, but the parliament is a special case.
-> Just because this politician is stupid (and I agree that she is) doesn't mean that this law is a bad idea, or that the notion of a law protecing against domestic violence laws is flawed.
-> Every law is abused in one way or the other. It doesn't mean we should scrap all laws. If this law does cause a minority of men to be unreasonably paranoid, not having such a law means for millions of women continuing to live under insecurity.
i come from the same place as her..She is famous for sometimes beating men in public..I feel sorry for those men who can't hit back because she has power in her hands..bitch renuka
I stopped paying attention after I realized that your opinions are just as sexist as any person or group you name as being so. If you're going to cry foul, you should at least make an attempt to be egalitarian. In your case, you're simply contributing to the problem you perceive. Way to go.
Argus eyes, what the hell did you expect? women have been treated like second class citizens in india for years! My friends husband has beaten her, had four affairs including when she was pregnant, and the 1 time she tried to leave she got dragged back into the house by her hair. check your history for the name E.pankhurst and the sufferagette movement. this is what is happening now in India. History is repeating itself and the pendulum is swinging the other way
Renuka is trying do do something for the women of India, Pakistan and associated countries because their abuse and torture has gone on for too long. Women are at the bottom of the ladder in these societies. She's brave enough to speak out.
Look at the honour killings that occur? A girl gets murdered by her family because she is a victim of rape. WHICH LAW PROTECTED HER!?
"A girl gets murdered by her family because she is victim of rape"
Never heard about that in India. It maybe there in Pakistan though. But in India we do hear of mobs of mainly women executing serial rapists because of the slow judicial system. But rarely, some families do honour kill their daughters if they marry outside their community, although several Indian states give finanical incentive to marrying outside community.
Renuka is famous for hating men.one of her quotes:"It's the turn of men to suffer." Here's another she made recently. She was addressing a group of women about the benefit of using condoms. Her persuasive logic? "When your man comes home drunk do you think you can trust him?better to have condoms and be safe."
The women laughed. What's worrying is that she is a heroine among Indian women. She wants to reserve everything for women-from bus seats to Parliament seats.
ArgusEyes...I came from the same place as renuka ...she is nice woman ..but all she does is to have some politicl milage...and why its soo suprising is that u are not an indian and u have never saw the society here..belive me even though outspoken...india needs such laws to give women some freedom. forget abt implementation ..the sheer intimidation is required to control the level of crime against women in india.
Forget about implementation? Then WHY have a law. A law is useless unless implemented effectively. If you CAN'T find a way to implement it, then you ensure only its misuse.
The last statement she made is NOT a threat. She is only teasing him - most Indians would have laughed. Don't know how to explain it, but if you grew up in an Indian context, you would understand.
I did, and I dont see it as "NOT a threat". If anything she is bragging about how wide her law is and how even arguing with her could cause him to loose everything he has, including his freedom. Since you are talking about context, do you know (i think you do, but cant name it here) who is to blame in most cases of DV in India? I will Mother-in-Laws!
BTW, The Supreme Court has heavily criticized the government for bringing in a badly worded law (probably the worst law ever). Unfortunately this has caused the government to suspend bringing the Offences against Children Bill at the Parliament and the bill has been sent back to the drawing table. Hope the Law ministry can pass a good law this time.
Most women's magazines are still concerned with beauty, fashion and home making. Articles about working women are almost exclusively aimed at professionals and executives. They don't reflect the reality that most women experience.
You replied elsewhere that you don't understand what I'm talking about. How old are you btw?
What I mean by market forces is that women use their buying power to decide what the market generally offers. They aren't going to make lots of beauty magazines if that's what women don't want. Do you buy magazines that you don't want?
You know what? I hate the magazines like "nuts" or those other lad mags. I think they are idiotic rags for iditots. And I'm embarrassed whenever I see the tits on the sun (a british tabloid). But I just ignore them.
So basically, and generally speaking, people dictate what appears on the shelves. It's not like the evil cabal of publishers say "we'll shove this down their throats and made them like it!" that's not how it works.
haha yer true im 17 :P still at school and youtube is really a procrastination tool of mine but still im pretty passionate about this issue... hmm i see your point like supply demand kinda thing.. but still i believe women do battle discrimination - ok this is a pretty pitiful example but like in the sporting arena: tennis and golf women players are paid millions and millions less than men
check out your news coverage of sport or like tv coverage and the underrepresentation of women is phenominal: and its not because women don't play or aren't as good its just coz they arent covered and then they can not get sponcership
Right.. now check out the shitty situation that many modern men are in, getting raped in divorce, ripped from their kids, activly being descriminated against.
umm yer im not saying i dont sympathise with fathers whose kids are taken away etc but feminism well my stance on feminism is equal rights for ALL people and thats my personal belief... so i care not only about womens rights and the way in which women are discriminated but also the rights of men and issues that they face...
BTW, India had ~1% divorce rates before feminists started their thing (which means no custody battles, no deprived children). The "feminist educated" women of India however are contributing to the current surge in divorce rates and before you go blaming men, checkout the reasons for divorce given by these women, they are no different than the western women's.
presetnly i feel womens rights in 3rd world countries need to be something we focus on right now.. like the situation in India - do u not have any comment on that? and the blatant discrimination felt by women of underdeveloped countries?
umm im not and i could ask you the same question... im just defending the fact that i believe womens rights should be protected. however not in such away that detracts from equality- but i do feel India needs steps such as this to be taken although i am very doubtful this legislation will really serve to benefit anyone - you still havent asnwered my question
A valid feminist argument can be made for women in third world countries. However, the feminist ideas are still poor and wrong even if you appply them to the genuinly oppressed. Also, the way to a better life for all the people who live in these countries is for the country itself to develop.
why are you ignoring the REAL issue here.. not the fact that women are trying to pass a law that detracts from the men's oppressive regime in india.. but the fact that these women are being killed, raped, beaten, and considered as second class to the men?
EXACTLY... plus ensure that women are able to be protected and seen as equals not just in the eyes of the law but also in society... so aren't you focussing on the wrong issue?
well at least she isn't pouring petrol over the guy, lighting him on fire and watching him die the horrible and painful death that thousands of women are dying each year
You seem to be unable to discuss an issue unemotionally. I've accepted this burning women thing on faith for too long now. Describe what you are talking about and provide your sources.
OMG!! Who has given you that impression?? DV is present in every society and as such is present in India also. Although it is an unfortunate fact that most of the crimes against women are committed by their husbands / in-laws.
And if your meaning by regime was "government", then let me tell you women are allowed everywhere (although in army there are some restrictions)
"Felt" is the key word (tsk! it doesn't have to be real). Feminism is and has created problems everywhere. For example there is a 33% reservation for women in technical schools.. were women prevented from joining tech schools? No, infact some disciplines did have majority females! But, it is better (sarcastic) with institutionalized discrimination.. thanks to feminism.
Company magazine (June 1991) asks Are you scared of success? Career success can be dazzling and very exciting, yet it can go hand in hand with tremendous fear. The article argues that if we just didn't keep holding ourselves back, we could make it in the career world. The truth for most of us is that it is lack of childcare and job opportunities determines our position as low paid workers, not our lack of confidence
As for the Domestic Violence Law being passed. I suggest you look for the 20/20 Domestic Violence Video on Youtube. It will give you a reason why these laws are being passed.
We should take time to try to understand what these women who fight for rights have gone through, because most of them have already gone through hell.
I would suggest that giving all women absolute power to destroy men is a bad idea. Has any type of crime been completely wiped out? We understand that there is a need to stop murder but are we ever going to? No, because human psychology enables it to happen.
Violence is an unfortunate part of life. A stronger man tries to bully a weaker man. Stronger political groups do the same to minorities. Violence against women is not a special phenomenon. Putting men in the place of women and women in the place of men, will never solve the problem.
If you really like this law then do the following: Allow all members of the African-American community the power to send any white person to prison just by the utterance of an accusation. That should stop all discrimination based on race. Your "cleverness" astounds me.
For the portion of suggesting to stay away from women all together, that's a personal choice. I do not see how it makes sense trying to avoid something so beautiful as a relationship where collaboration, teamwork, and friendship are all key factors. For the record, men are just as emotional as women, they just show it differently sometimes.
The situation in india is unbearable for the female population ... -- eve-teasign adn child sexual harassment is rampant... hence we need these drastic laws ... Infact india should have public flogging of eve-teasers and child molestors. If this law scares indian men so much... they can just stay away from women altogether ... which would in itself be a really welcome result of this law.
This is what I do, and what I recommend to other people to do. Who will complain when this happens btw? Women will. And then the government will probably force men to date them, as usually happens when women stamp their little feet.
Also your strawman argument is not contested by me. I have no problem with imprisoning/punishing and in some cases killing, people who genuinly commit crimes. This issue is not about that.
what made you hate women so much? its quite funny and actually a little insulting that you recommend "people" to avoid women as if to suggest women aren't "people" to... that they infact a different species all together
In my work and family life I get on just fine but in my personal life I have decided to eschew them. Because I believe that there are a lot of bad laws that can penalise men who offend women and because I believe the quality of the modern woman to be quite low. Things such as this are based on personal experience and nothing more.
could u make a video on why u are so distrustful and hateful towards women...? like actually answering the question not quoting random feminist quotes etc but what actually has lead you to this quite sad frame of mind?
so your admitting that your presenting a bias argument then? because your obviously not all for "equal rights for all and all that bullocks" you would prefer the good old patriachal male dominated society?.... which is somthinge that women still have to deal with anyway ..
Have I presented a message in any of my videos that I believe in that? Nope. I don't have the best memory in the world, but I always present the message that I believe in true equality just like the feminists don't, therefore that is why I fight some of their ideas.
And no, I didn't admit that I am a woman hater in that previous post, I said that such a label is "going too far" and no, I do not think that I am biased.
To take what I previously said and then ignore it and run with you already decided assumptions that I am a "woman hater" and that I admitted it. Makes you a propagandistic, opportunistic, deceitful liar.
i never called u a woman hater buddy.. im not here for an all out war life's gonna go on whether i agree with you or not but isnt the reason for your videos to provide like a platform with which to like discuss issues etc? sorry if i was a bit passionate in my early comments but i do find some of the things your saying rather discriminatury
but hey im fairly sure the few comments i have made is hardly grounds to call me propagandistic, opportunistic, deceitful liar? hmmm anyway dont get ya knickers in a knot mate
Don't play games with me. I'll eat you for breakfast..
"what made you hate women so much?"
"could u make a video on why u are so distrustful and hateful towards women...?"
Are these not your words? Are statements such as these not founded on the personal opinion that the person you are talking to is a woman hater. Yes they are, the second comment pinches it in the bud.
haha so what.. Im interested in why we have such starkly different views.... ok i take that back i forgot i said "hateful towards women" but can u deny that your videos do present you in that way though? dont play games... buddy we're on youtube... we're not determining the fate of the world lighten up a bit...
Do I come on here and state that women "belong back in the kitchen" or any crap like that? Nope. What I do is critique feminism. And people who swallow the feminist lies are too small minded to realise that a critique of their dogma is not a critique of women.. As feminism does not speak for all women.
positive discrimination: To treat disadvantaged groups in our society as equal ignores situations of inequality and therefore perpetuates that inequality - justified discrimination is needed in some situations for disadvantaged people to have the opportunity to become equal within society.
i dont know what quotas are :P but gender specific laws/courses are needed to bridge the gap between men and women in all aspects of life... women have been and still are disadvantaged in many many aspects of life.. unfortunately you are too caught up in your own agenda to comprehend this... unfortunately i dont have the big words or the resources to fully explain this to you
women are disadvantaged in most aspects of life: from sport to religion to the workplace... you can't seriously expect me to believe you dont have any knowledge what so ever of the injustices suffered by women throughout the ages... with men as the privileged party and women constantly marginalised
well seeing as though this vid is about india lets talk about that: Every 26 minutes a woman is molested. Every 34 minutes a rape takes place. Every 42 minutes a sexual harassment incident occurs. Every 43 minutes a woman is kidnapped. And every 93 minutes a woman is burnt to death over dowry.
and thats just the reported cases of violence: further to this Women and girls receive far less education than men, due both to social norms and fears of violence, deaths of young girls in India exceed those of young boys by over 300,000 each year, and every sixth infant death is specifically due to gender discrimination." Of the 15 million baby girls born in India each year, nearly 25 percent will not live to see their 15th birthday. once again gender discrimination,
child marriages keep women subjagated, Women are kept subordinate, and are even murdered, by the practice of dowry, over 6000 dowry murders are commited each year,
your ignorant of this suffering and your fighting to ensure that women in india continue to be treated in this way.. as second class citizens
In what way does the status of women in India affect us here in the west? It doesn't and you cannot answer the question so I am drawing this facade of a conversation to an end here.
You demonstrate perfectly how the arguments for positive discrimination are completely impotent. If you had a knock-down example of how women are disadvantaged in the west then you would have used it, you don't, so you use the spectre of past oppressions and the bad situation of women in the third world to support your argument.
Women are constantly given cues that they are in some way inferior, We learn what is the norm through what is seen as acceptable behaviour in the world around us. The media, be it TV, film industry or pop music occupy a very vocal and dominant position. Next time you watch MTV or go to the cinema try and count how many times you see women portrayed as individuals in their own right, rather than as appendages. You won't need more fingers to count on than you have on your own two hands.
You have no idea how much I pre-empt people like you. I knew you were going to say that so may I suggest you read up to the start of this conversation. It is off-topic and has nothing to do with India. And as such, you will not succeed in subverting it.
To your previous post. Whenever pushed it all feminist come down to the portrayal of women in the media. It's good to see that the movement is still so valid. A bad image (in your mind) of women on the TV is not a good enough reason for positive discrimination. That aside, you're point isn't even correct. The portrayal of men in the media is far worse than women. Anyone who isn't a feminist ideologue would see that.
haha poo face is one of my jems... i don't even understand you.. as if your arguments are any better than mine... no i havent heard of "market forces" and i dont know what a "feminist ideologue" is.... but it doesnt make any difference all i know is women (although far better off now) still battle discrimination and i also know that we two are never gonna agree or your never gonna accept the truth either way hehe
Well I already knew that :) But let's resume nonetheless. Could you name an instance of where a modern woman in the western world battles descrimination?
I guess the more the people are educated there can be more understanding and coherence within the family and hence respect for each others freedom. This is what the minister was referring to. One needs to bear in mind the cultural differences and what is influencing such laws and it may well not be applicable to the rest of the world and future times.
Actually this law is quite applicable to India given that the family model involves a sort of an hierarchy and obedience to elders is part of the culture. A women who enters the family anew if its a joint family can face much harrasment and lack of freedom. However I doubt if the Indian legal system is geared up to ward off false claims by women.
From the article: "There are dozens of cases of husbands and in-laws being thrown into the slammer on the basis of mere accusations of torture for dowry and a complaint under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code, according to the Orissa's State Commission for Women."
Front-page ARTICLE in the newspaper the Times of India(Spetember 19,2007):
Headline:
"Men are being harrassed, says Woman's panel"
by Minati Singha
Namita Pandya, chairman, Orrisa's State Commission for Women :
" This is only the tip of the iceberg. The number of atrocities against men by women is rising in Orissa. Since May 2007, the Commission has registered 38 such cases."
In situations like that is there a valid reason for divorce for the good of the spouse/partner who is abused and the psychological wellbeing of the children(if any).In situations where both the man and the woman are physically and/or verbally(mentally) abusive towards each other one couldn,t really say -in my opinion-who is the victim.
Laws must protect, but not one half of humanity at the expense of the other. If such fascist laws crop up all around the world, then everyone will think that laws are for fools. That the only way to get justice is to fight the law. The result will be anarchy.
"Laws must protect, but not one half of humanity at the expense of the other".Prostitution is at womens personal expense. When you think that a woman can be promiscuous ar let men use her sexually then you are trying to say that a woman is exactly the same as a man.Not all men actually want to be promiscuous-as they marry and stay committed.Men are different but neither one is inferior to the other
Anyone can be promiscuous if he or she wants to. What are you trying to do here? Are you trying to nurse your wounded ego with comments which have nothing to do with the discussion at hand?
All I am saying is that relationships should give both people equal rights and respect. This is obviously not the case here.
You obviously do not know anything about human biology especially sexuality.Women get pregnant and artificial contraception fails frequently but not always.Womens psychology is different to mens and their sexual behaviour for the most part because of pregancy.Nature does not change for whatever people consider politiclly correct at a certain point in time.
Skirting the topic-someone here said that men should be allowed to use prostitutes -which in actulity means that he should be allowed to rape poor and exploited women because he is not allowed to beat or rape his wife.
Yes, someone may have said use, which is quite different from abuse. Of course, I don't think anyone is demanding the right to abuse someone. Perhaps, the Amsterdam model seems quite attractive to them.
We should decide what is correct from Nature as nature does fight back.Another example of disregarding nature is that you cannot play with fire and not get burnt.
Blurting statistics and not telling where they came from-you do that too! What people are agreeing to is being against domestic violence which worldwide is done to women by men more often than the other way around and they are responding to this rather than the clip you showed in the video.
I have heard of domestic violence being done to women by their husbands or live-in boyfriend and I have also heard of domestic violence being done to men by their wife or live in girlfriend.I am not suggesting that "a completely one-sided treatment of the topic that dosen,t ever mention the other side is warranted".Here I am 'talking' about the situation where one of the couple is physically and/or verbally abusive towards the other.
In the interview the interviewer Karan Thapar gave statistics to Renuka Choudhary which showed that 98% of cases registered under the new laws were fake and women had used them to economically exploit men. I don't remember his sourse, but you will get the information should you watch the video on Youtube.
Women in India have known to run mafia gangs in the absence of their spouses. And that is not all : They are known to have been involved in the unlawful business of sex determination and in forcing other women into prostitution. If you think only men are capable of evil, then you have a lot to learn.
oh and your obviously not indian so i suggest you readn up on the injustices faced by women who are denied educational rights, sold into sexual slavery and often killed at the hands of their own family members due to dowry desputes... i do not wish to imply that men deserve no rights.. i believe both sexes deserve equal rights in all facets of society... it just seems fairly hypocritical that u speak of the injustice faced by men. both men and women deserve to be protected.
..:..I liked ur video n ur thoughts on dis illiterate, narrow-minded, sexist, dumb, annoying, stupid woman. Trust me der r many others in da country who hates her fo her immature behaviour n passing of dis hideous law, guess she has brought dis law fo her own benefits. we got feminism over in the west too bitch, so i think any man has the right to say anything.

its not like 'saying 2=3'
that same 'feminism' that this video is about is the same 'feminism' that is happening in the west. they both want to elevate women to be revered as better than men, the only difference is the one in the west at least bullshits us into thinking they are for equality, where as the one in india is flat out truthful in letting the world know they are for women greater than men. still 'SOUND' judgment

A male foetus born to Women like Renuka choudhary will certainly have a poor future.
bharatTubes 2 years ago
I haven't watched the actual video that you're talking about, but based on what you've shown she's very, very angry. I'm not entirely certain that I would call her sexist though, because people do and say stupid things when they're arguing over something like domestic violence. And you did mention that he wouldn't allow her the chance to answer many questions.
[Continued on next comment...]
Soulsphere001 2 years ago
However, they're obviously going about India law in the wrong manner (in my mind at least). They should look into what the cause of these domestic violence attacks/murders are and deal with it. The problem is that it would seem some of these cases lead to murder before any action can be done to stop it. Don't these women call the police? Or are they not being helped? I don't know much about the situation in India, but according to people I've spoken to from India, most of the police are corrupt.

Men should start a nation of just males. We don't need them for love; homosexual men should start a nation and homosexual women should, i bet we'd do far better seperate.

Starstudded84, Dowry Harassment actually is a tool by crooked women in urban areas against Men.
one should know that rural uneduated women have No knowledge of law.
The Urban Eduated women who marry someone for Money and want to live with someone else for sex would certainly use this law for their advantage.

Christ!
PsychosisFire 3 years ago
You answered your own question there. A man who would support a law like that is not self respecting, he is self hating.
There are a variety of reasons in total. Chivalry, socialism, misguided attempts to help women, political power, laziness (not reading the whole law, just passing it).
ArgusEyes 3 years ago
That woman is determined to bring India to it's knees. There is a disaster waiting to happen with this new law, and it's only a matter of time. I smell fascism...

BlackShani 3 years ago
It is not yet reserved. Btw, I don't see much issues in reserving 33% seats for women. The only thing is that criminal laws should be neutral.
add20000 3 years ago
Now this law has indeed gone too far. I totally agree with you on that point. But let's not forget how many women are world leaders compared to male world leaders. Let's not forget that the US has still never had a female president. Let's not forget that many women in India do need protection.
There is nothing wrong with feminism when it is in favor of EQUAL rights. That's why this new law is totally fucked.
kirikira21 3 years ago
Feminism is hardly ever in favour of equal rights. Because that is not their aim.
What the fuck does leaders have to do with it? We've had a female prime minister here in the U.K. Do you think that British feminists have gone away? Nope. Also the notion is bigoted, that if it's a man then he inherently not going to care about women is a bigoted notion.
ArgusEyes 3 years ago

FlameltaSK0 2 years ago
-> Just because this politician is stupid (and I agree that she is) doesn't mean that this law is a bad idea, or that the notion of a law protecing against domestic violence laws is flawed.
-> Every law is abused in one way or the other. It doesn't mean we should scrap all laws. If this law does cause a minority of men to be unreasonably paranoid, not having such a law means for millions of women continuing to live under insecurity.

cristicc1 4 years ago
Renuka is trying do do something for the women of India, Pakistan and associated countries because their abuse and torture has gone on for too long. Women are at the bottom of the ladder in these societies. She's brave enough to speak out.
Look at the honour killings that occur? A girl gets murdered by her family because she is a victim of rape. WHICH LAW PROTECTED HER!?
cristicc1 4 years ago
"A girl gets murdered by her family because she is victim of rape"
Never heard about that in India. It maybe there in Pakistan though. But in India we do hear of mobs of mainly women executing serial rapists because of the slow judicial system. But rarely, some families do honour kill their daughters if they marry outside their community, although several Indian states give finanical incentive to marrying outside community.
add20000 4 years ago
Renuka is famous for hating men.one of her quotes:"It's the turn of men to suffer." Here's another she made recently. She was addressing a group of women about the benefit of using condoms. Her persuasive logic? "When your man comes home drunk do you think you can trust him?better to have condoms and be safe."
The women laughed. What's worrying is that she is a heroine among Indian women. She wants to reserve everything for women-from bus seats to Parliament seats.
BlackShani 4 years ago 3

simplysri 3 years ago
Forget about implementation? Then WHY have a law. A law is useless unless implemented effectively. If you CAN'T find a way to implement it, then you ensure only its misuse.
anirudhkalbag 3 years ago
ArgusEyes,
The last statement she made is NOT a threat. She is only teasing him - most Indians would have laughed. Don't know how to explain it, but if you grew up in an Indian context, you would understand.
pillais1978 4 years ago
I think she was referring to the section where she thought he was committing DV against her for interrupting her. She was serious about that.
ArgusEyes 4 years ago
I did, and I dont see it as "NOT a threat". If anything she is bragging about how wide her law is and how even arguing with her could cause him to loose everything he has, including his freedom. Since you are talking about context, do you know (i think you do, but cant name it here) who is to blame in most cases of DV in India? I will Mother-in-Laws!
utubehayter 4 years ago
BTW, The Supreme Court has heavily criticized the government for bringing in a badly worded law (probably the worst law ever). Unfortunately this has caused the government to suspend bringing the Offences against Children Bill at the Parliament and the bill has been sent back to the drawing table. Hope the Law ministry can pass a good law this time.

Most women's magazines are still concerned with beauty, fashion and home making. Articles about working women are almost exclusively aimed at professionals and executives. They don't reflect the reality that most women experience.
carabunga90 4 years ago
Have you ever heard the phrase "market forces"?
ArgusEyes 4 years ago
You replied elsewhere that you don't understand what I'm talking about. How old are you btw?
What I mean by market forces is that women use their buying power to decide what the market generally offers. They aren't going to make lots of beauty magazines if that's what women don't want. Do you buy magazines that you don't want?
ArgusEyes 4 years ago
You know what? I hate the magazines like "nuts" or those other lad mags. I think they are idiotic rags for iditots. And I'm embarrassed whenever I see the tits on the sun (a british tabloid). But I just ignore them.
So basically, and generally speaking, people dictate what appears on the shelves. It's not like the evil cabal of publishers say "we'll shove this down their throats and made them like it!" that's not how it works.
ArgusEyes 4 years ago
haha yer true im 17 :P still at school and youtube is really a procrastination tool of mine but still im pretty passionate about this issue... hmm i see your point like supply demand kinda thing.. but still i believe women do battle discrimination - ok this is a pretty pitiful example but like in the sporting arena: tennis and golf women players are paid millions and millions less than men
carabunga90 4 years ago
check out your news coverage of sport or like tv coverage and the underrepresentation of women is phenominal: and its not because women don't play or aren't as good its just coz they arent covered and then they can not get sponcership
carabunga90 4 years ago
Right.. now check out the shitty situation that many modern men are in, getting raped in divorce, ripped from their kids, activly being descriminated against.
Still feel like clinging to feminism?
ArgusEyes 4 years ago
umm yer im not saying i dont sympathise with fathers whose kids are taken away etc but feminism well my stance on feminism is equal rights for ALL people and thats my personal belief... so i care not only about womens rights and the way in which women are discriminated but also the rights of men and issues that they face...
carabunga90 4 years ago
BTW, India had ~1% divorce rates before feminists started their thing (which means no custody battles, no deprived children). The "feminist educated" women of India however are contributing to the current surge in divorce rates and before you go blaming men, checkout the reasons for divorce given by these women, they are no different than the western women's.
utubehayter 4 years ago
presetnly i feel womens rights in 3rd world countries need to be something we focus on right now.. like the situation in India - do u not have any comment on that? and the blatant discrimination felt by women of underdeveloped countries?
carabunga90 4 years ago
Here's a big question then.
If you believe in equal rights for all people then why be associated with a group that serves only a certain group?
ArgusEyes 4 years ago
umm im not and i could ask you the same question... im just defending the fact that i believe womens rights should be protected. however not in such away that detracts from equality- but i do feel India needs steps such as this to be taken although i am very doubtful this legislation will really serve to benefit anyone - you still havent asnwered my question
carabunga90 4 years ago
A valid feminist argument can be made for women in third world countries. However, the feminist ideas are still poor and wrong even if you appply them to the genuinly oppressed. Also, the way to a better life for all the people who live in these countries is for the country itself to develop.
ArgusEyes 4 years ago
why are you ignoring the REAL issue here.. not the fact that women are trying to pass a law that detracts from the men's oppressive regime in india.. but the fact that these women are being killed, raped, beaten, and considered as second class to the men?
carabunga90 4 years ago
You tighten the laws for people getting killed, raped and beaten. You don't pass stupid little laws that make it illegal to criticise your wife.
ArgusEyes 4 years ago
EXACTLY... plus ensure that women are able to be protected and seen as equals not just in the eyes of the law but also in society... so aren't you focussing on the wrong issue?
carabunga90 4 years ago

ArgusEyes 4 years ago
well at least she isn't pouring petrol over the guy, lighting him on fire and watching him die the horrible and painful death that thousands of women are dying each year
carabunga90 4 years ago
You seem to be unable to discuss an issue unemotionally. I've accepted this burning women thing on faith for too long now. Describe what you are talking about and provide your sources.
ArgusEyes 4 years ago
Men's oppressive regime??????
OMG!! Who has given you that impression?? DV is present in every society and as such is present in India also. Although it is an unfortunate fact that most of the crimes against women are committed by their husbands / in-laws.
And if your meaning by regime was "government", then let me tell you women are allowed everywhere (although in army there are some restrictions)
add20000 4 years ago
"Felt" is the key word (tsk! it doesn't have to be real). Feminism is and has created problems everywhere. For example there is a 33% reservation for women in technical schools.. were women prevented from joining tech schools? No, infact some disciplines did have majority females! But, it is better (sarcastic) with institutionalized discrimination.. thanks to feminism.
utubehayter 4 years ago
Company magazine (June 1991) asks Are you scared of success? Career success can be dazzling and very exciting, yet it can go hand in hand with tremendous fear. The article argues that if we just didn't keep holding ourselves back, we could make it in the career world. The truth for most of us is that it is lack of childcare and job opportunities determines our position as low paid workers, not our lack of confidence
carabunga90 4 years ago
As for the Domestic Violence Law being passed. I suggest you look for the 20/20 Domestic Violence Video on Youtube. It will give you a reason why these laws are being passed.
We should take time to try to understand what these women who fight for rights have gone through, because most of them have already gone through hell.
genelocke 4 years ago
I would suggest that giving all women absolute power to destroy men is a bad idea. Has any type of crime been completely wiped out? We understand that there is a need to stop murder but are we ever going to? No, because human psychology enables it to happen.
ArgusEyes 4 years ago
Violence is an unfortunate part of life. A stronger man tries to bully a weaker man. Stronger political groups do the same to minorities. Violence against women is not a special phenomenon. Putting men in the place of women and women in the place of men, will never solve the problem.
Jasonstarwalker 4 years ago
If you really like this law then do the following: Allow all members of the African-American community the power to send any white person to prison just by the utterance of an accusation. That should stop all discrimination based on race. Your "cleverness" astounds me.
Jasonstarwalker 4 years ago
I just watch your video blog.
For the portion of suggesting to stay away from women all together, that's a personal choice. I do not see how it makes sense trying to avoid something so beautiful as a relationship where collaboration, teamwork, and friendship are all key factors. For the record, men are just as emotional as women, they just show it differently sometimes.
genelocke 4 years ago
You don't need to worry about people staying off of relationships. I've never met anyone else who can do it.
ArgusEyes 4 years ago
The situation in india is unbearable for the female population ... -- eve-teasign adn child sexual harassment is rampant... hence we need these drastic laws ... Infact india should have public flogging of eve-teasers and child molestors. If this law scares indian men so much... they can just stay away from women altogether ... which would in itself be a really welcome result of this law.
caqforever 4 years ago
"they can just stay away from women altogether"
This is what I do, and what I recommend to other people to do. Who will complain when this happens btw? Women will. And then the government will probably force men to date them, as usually happens when women stamp their little feet.
Also your strawman argument is not contested by me. I have no problem with imprisoning/punishing and in some cases killing, people who genuinly commit crimes. This issue is not about that.
ArgusEyes 4 years ago
what made you hate women so much? its quite funny and actually a little insulting that you recommend "people" to avoid women as if to suggest women aren't "people" to... that they infact a different species all together
carabunga90 4 years ago
Analysing my words under a magnifying glasses isn't going to do you any good. Exchange "people" for "men" if it makes you happy. Ta da!
I would be insulting your intelligence if I were to say that I am completely A-OK with modern women. I'm not. But saying I hate them is going too far.
ArgusEyes 4 years ago
In my work and family life I get on just fine but in my personal life I have decided to eschew them. Because I believe that there are a lot of bad laws that can penalise men who offend women and because I believe the quality of the modern woman to be quite low. Things such as this are based on personal experience and nothing more.
ArgusEyes 4 years ago
could u make a video on why u are so distrustful and hateful towards women...? like actually answering the question not quoting random feminist quotes etc but what actually has lead you to this quite sad frame of mind?
carabunga90 4 years ago
so your admitting that your presenting a bias argument then? because your obviously not all for "equal rights for all and all that bullocks" you would prefer the good old patriachal male dominated society?.... which is somthinge that women still have to deal with anyway ..
carabunga90 4 years ago
Have I presented a message in any of my videos that I believe in that? Nope. I don't have the best memory in the world, but I always present the message that I believe in true equality just like the feminists don't, therefore that is why I fight some of their ideas.
And no, I didn't admit that I am a woman hater in that previous post, I said that such a label is "going too far" and no, I do not think that I am biased.

Quotas.
Positive descrimination (same thing as quotas really but what the hell, go for it).
Gender specific laws.
Gender specific courses.
etc..
ArgusEyes 4 years ago
positive discrimination: To treat disadvantaged groups in our society as equal ignores situations of inequality and therefore perpetuates that inequality - justified discrimination is needed in some situations for disadvantaged people to have the opportunity to become equal within society.
carabunga90 4 years ago
i dont know what quotas are :P but gender specific laws/courses are needed to bridge the gap between men and women in all aspects of life... women have been and still are disadvantaged in many many aspects of life.. unfortunately you are too caught up in your own agenda to comprehend this... unfortunately i dont have the big words or the resources to fully explain this to you
carabunga90 4 years ago
In what way are women disadvantaged?
ArgusEyes 4 years ago
women are disadvantaged in most aspects of life: from sport to religion to the workplace... you can't seriously expect me to believe you dont have any knowledge what so ever of the injustices suffered by women throughout the ages... with men as the privileged party and women constantly marginalised
carabunga90 4 years ago
You're avoiding the question. And we're not talking about the past.
In what way are women disadvantaged?
ArgusEyes 4 years ago
well seeing as though this vid is about india lets talk about that: Every 26 minutes a woman is molested. Every 34 minutes a rape takes place. Every 42 minutes a sexual harassment incident occurs. Every 43 minutes a woman is kidnapped. And every 93 minutes a woman is burnt to death over dowry.
carabunga90 4 years ago
and thats just the reported cases of violence: further to this Women and girls receive far less education than men, due both to social norms and fears of violence, deaths of young girls in India exceed those of young boys by over 300,000 each year, and every sixth infant death is specifically due to gender discrimination." Of the 15 million baby girls born in India each year, nearly 25 percent will not live to see their 15th birthday. once again gender discrimination,

If you had a knock-down example of how women are disadvantaged in the west then you would have used it, you don't, so you use the spectre of past oppressions and the bad situation of women in the third world to support your argument.
ArgusEyes 4 years ago
Women are constantly given cues that they are in some way inferior, We learn what is the norm through what is seen as acceptable behaviour in the world around us. The media, be it TV, film industry or pop music occupy a very vocal and dominant position. Next time you watch MTV or go to the cinema try and count how many times you see women portrayed as individuals in their own right, rather than as appendages. You won't need more fingers to count on than you have on your own two hands.

THIS VIDEO IS ABOUT INDIA POO FACE!! ok then how does tihs law protecting women in INDIA affect your western male arse then?
carabunga90 4 years ago
Poo face!? I just plain laughed at that.

Anyone who isn't a feminist ideologue would see that.

haha poo face is one of my jems... i don't even understand you.. as if your arguments are any better than mine... no i havent heard of "market forces" and i dont know what a "feminist ideologue" is.... but it doesnt make any difference all i know is women (although far better off now) still battle discrimination and i also know that we two are never gonna agree or your never gonna accept the truth either way hehe
carabunga90 4 years ago
Well I already knew that :) But let's resume nonetheless. Could you name an instance of where a modern woman in the western world battles descrimination?

I guess the more the people are educated there can be more understanding and coherence within the family and hence respect for each others freedom. This is what the minister was referring to. One needs to bear in mind the cultural differences and what is influencing such laws and it may well not be applicable to the rest of the world and future times.
Bobheart2007 4 years ago
Actually this law is quite applicable to India given that the family model involves a sort of an hierarchy and obedience to elders is part of the culture. A women who enters the family anew if its a joint family can face much harrasment and lack of freedom. However I doubt if the Indian legal system is geared up to ward off false claims by women.

When the law licenses injustice, it creates the conditions for its own destruction.

Opinion of the Times of India:
"Many have argued that are stringent dowry laws are often abused by unscrupulous women."
" We feel that there must be a check on the abuse of the law...the[unscrupulous] accuser must face a jail term."
Jasonstarwalker 4 years ago

I applaud the fact that people are against violence of all kinds, but they should demostrate their dislike of blackmail, too.
Jasonstarwalker 4 years ago
In situations like that is there a valid reason for divorce for the good of the spouse/partner who is abused and the psychological wellbeing of the children(if any).In situations where both the man and the woman are physically and/or verbally(mentally) abusive towards each other one couldn,t really say -in my opinion-who is the victim.

Laws must protect, but not one half of humanity at the expense of the other. If such fascist laws crop up all around the world, then everyone will think that laws are for fools. That the only way to get justice is to fight the law. The result will be anarchy.
Jasonstarwalker 4 years ago
"Laws must protect, but not one half of humanity at the expense of the other".Prostitution is at womens personal expense. When you think that a woman can be promiscuous ar let men use her sexually then you are trying to say that a woman is exactly the same as a man.Not all men actually want to be promiscuous-as they marry and stay committed.Men are different but neither one is inferior to the other
Janvierireland 4 years ago
Anyone can be promiscuous if he or she wants to. What are you trying to do here? Are you trying to nurse your wounded ego with comments which have nothing to do with the discussion at hand?
All I am saying is that relationships should give both people equal rights and respect. This is obviously not the case here.
All you are doing is skirting the topic.
Jasonstarwalker 4 years ago
You obviously do not know anything about human biology especially sexuality.Women get pregnant and artificial contraception fails frequently but not always.Womens psychology is different to mens and their sexual behaviour for the most part because of pregancy.Nature does not change for whatever people consider politiclly correct at a certain point in time.
Janvierireland 4 years ago
Skirting the topic-someone here said that men should be allowed to use prostitutes -which in actulity means that he should be allowed to rape poor and exploited women because he is not allowed to beat or rape his wife.
Janvierireland 4 years ago
Yes, someone may have said use, which is quite different from abuse. Of course, I don't think anyone is demanding the right to abuse someone. Perhaps, the Amsterdam model seems quite attractive to them.
Jasonstarwalker 4 years ago
Disregard the previous comment!
Look both sexes are involved in prostitution; and both can be faithful. The job of the law is to do justice, not injustice.
And justice at the expense of the innocent is injustice.
Jasonstarwalker 4 years ago
We should decide what is correct from Nature as nature does fight back.Another example of disregarding nature is that you cannot play with fire and not get burnt.
Janvierireland 4 years ago
Lady, Nature took a backseat to our species years ago. And men have not only played with fire but have also tamed it.
Jasonstarwalker 4 years ago
Laws must protect, but not one half of humanity at the expense of the other. I agree.
Janvierireland 4 years ago
You seem to forget that women become pregnant that is one reason why we are not naturally promiscuous.
Janvierireland 4 years ago
That has stopped applying to women since condoms and abortions.
Of course, if you follow what the Pope says and decide not to
use contraception than you give control back to nature.
Jasonstarwalker 4 years ago
Blurting statistics and not telling where they came from-you do that too! What people are agreeing to is being against domestic violence which worldwide is done to women by men more often than the other way around and they are responding to this rather than the clip you showed in the video.
Janvierireland 4 years ago
Henceforth a completely one-sided treatment of the topic that doesn't ever mention the other side is warranted? Is that what you are suggesting?
ArgusEyes 4 years ago
I have heard of domestic violence being done to women by their husbands or live-in boyfriend and I have also heard of domestic violence being done to men by their wife or live in girlfriend.I am not suggesting that "a completely one-sided treatment of the topic that dosen,t ever mention the other side is warranted".Here I am 'talking' about the situation where one of the couple is physically and/or verbally abusive towards the other.
Janvierireland 4 years ago
In the interview the interviewer Karan Thapar gave statistics to Renuka Choudhary which showed that 98% of cases registered under the new laws were fake and women had used them to economically exploit men. I don't remember his sourse, but you will get the information should you watch the video on Youtube.

Women in India have known to run mafia gangs in the absence of their spouses. And that is not all : They are known to have been involved in the unlawful business of sex determination and in forcing other women into prostitution. If you think only men are capable of evil, then you have a lot to learn.
Jasonstarwalker 4 years ago
oh and your obviously not indian so i suggest you readn up on the injustices faced by women who are denied educational rights, sold into sexual slavery and often killed at the hands of their own family members due to dowry desputes... i do not wish to imply that men deserve no rights.. i believe both sexes deserve equal rights in all facets of society... it just seems fairly hypocritical that u speak of the injustice faced by men. both men and women deserve to be protected.
