I did listened to almost every his song, and found "Fragrance", especially performed in the 2006 tour, his greatest invention. Wonderful track, everyone must listen to it, both music ritmic, lyrics and voice. Somehow, period between 2002-2005(with Love Letter) is very succesful and interesting. In 2006-2007 was pure success, while currently is average great. Song "Returner" is indeed wonderful, and should be in this style up to now, I understand his moves, but admirers do not...

However, not only did he mention him at least 2 times on his blog (one time dedicating RR2 to him, as well as his fans), but he also wrote an article about him to a newspaper he sometimes contributes to. He admitted that Michael changed what people considered a concert to be was an inspiration for his own concerts.

Since it is almost exactly a year after Michael Jackson's death, I think it is safe to assume that Michael has something to do with it. The song wasn't completely GACKT's say, because it is used as a theme song. And the cover isn't completely MJ-ish either. Who knows but GACKT? No matter, it a joke/tribute to SOMEONE. Maybe Miura Daichi, like in Possibility.

I could care less about the man, I know he died recently, but it doesn't mean people can't have an opinion about them. Remember that Gackt dressed up for the Dragon's Best event, when he changed his clothes he had a fedora and glasses, and looked not like himself. Not Micheal Jackson like, but different. If it isn't an obvious tribute, I wouldn't assume it is. I just think everyone's jumping the gun here.

I guess I'm just so familiar with people comparing GACKT to MJ and becoming furious about it. I had that cover next to a picture of MJ in a similar pose, and it did look similar... but now that I think about it, it's just similar to American Pop, and not Japanese Pop.

However, not only did he mention him at least 2 times on his blog (one time dedicating RR2 to him, as well as his fans), but he also wrote an article about him to a newspaper he sometimes contributes to. He admitted that Michael changed what people considered a concert to be was an inspiration for his own concerts.

It doesn't mean he's a 'fanboy' just look at the time frame in which MJ's 'this is it' was coming out and people were trying to compare visualive to that. I don't think this is a tribute. He said in the article that he want fond of things Jackson did but still acknowledged what he did.
