  • mark price is said to be the one of the first if not the first point guards to pioneer the splitting high traps on pick n rolls.....soo think twice..about...thinking everything is new nowadays..

  • i remember price could shoot the lights out, and it was not a set shot ( like larry bird). price could shoot in your face, he also played good defense..... 2 bad cleveland of today never had a guard like him, maybe lebron would have stayed.

why this guy was not selected one pof the 50 greatest nba players by david stern is beyond me. , and who could ever forget that 3 point contest during all star weekend. price was the man in his day

  • @kansas66204 Price's legacy would have been further cemented if he stayed healthy. And yes his release was one of things as a basketball player that I envied. There are other select guys in the league including Mahamoud abdul raouf who had these lightning quick releases that allowed them to shoot fearlessly knowing it was going to drop in.

  • Ironically, Price backed up John Bagley during his rookie year.

  • Price > Nash = Fact

  • @aforementionedshit they're identical in many ways but nash is by far more superior passer, and ive watched price play live im 27

  • @ThaTruth223 Nash had more possessions to him playing for a coach who was run and gun on crack. So of course he would have better and more opportunities to set his teammates up. Price played under wilkens, so he had to be a bit more creative in setting his guys up, especially at times when daugherty wasn't around due to injury.

  • Man Mark Price was tha nigga hands down!

  • @10litehouse he's actually white....but yea, he was good.

  • one of the best shooters ever

  • wow dis guy is freakin ill steve nash mostly got all of his moves from him

  • Mark price was a true talent. one of the last white dudes you could call the truth in the NBA

  • such an underrated freakin guard....

what is with this white bullshit mans, this kid was better than 90% of black guards in the league lols....

there is no advantage man, basketball is a poor man's sport, like soccer..... :./

  • awesome player, great vid, apart from that song, what a shit band

  • He was a version of Nash that played some defense

  • @calabis Nash is a version of Price that plays no defense. :)

  • Mark Price is the man. He was my idol growing up

  • good player and even better person, that mark price

  • Sick between the legs pass at 1:27 then again at 1:57. Mark was the man.

  • Sick between the legs pass at 1:27. Mark was the man.

  • the game seems so different today than it did then. it's still fun still excitingbut me, i'd take the 80's n 90's over todays game any day to watch. price was certainly fun to watch.

  • Mark Price took his talents to Cleveland

  • It looks like Teen Wolf dribbling the ball at 2:32

  • at 2:41, look at Dad in the Cavs sweater and his shithead bandwagoning son in the Bulls jersey. lol.

  • A true Cavalier with CLASS!! Others who made promises to "bring a championship to Cleveland" and "light up this city like Vegas" are just pretenders.

  • Mark Price...for THREEEEEEEEEEEEE!! I spent many a moment in my childhood annoying my sisters and parents by shouting that while playing air-basketball.

  • the cavs!!!!!!!!!! MARK U R AMAZING

  • the cavs!!!!!!!!!!

  • comparing now and then , Then NBA back then was a BIG MAN's Game. Today is more speed so the little guards get more of the focus. Mark price would have cleary been in a discussion of an mvp type season like nash. Not hatting on Nash either by the way.

  • Thats something id lik to see tho, steve nash vs mark price or larry birdd?

  • How is Steve Nashh lik Mark price?? Youu dont get namedd mvp 2 years in a row juss by dribbling the ball.

  • @NYCincTV Similar style of game. Both are known for efficient shooting, careful ball handling, crisp passing and not much on perimeter defense. Though Nash more for his ball handling than price for his lightning quick release.

You get named mvp for 2 years playing under D'Antoni in a league that plays no defense anymore. Nash played his prime in the 90's he'd be lumped in the same category as price, stockton, kevin Johnson and other good point guards trying to be great.

  • He is the GREATEST 2nd Round Draft pick EVER!

I'll bet alot of you never knew that.

  • @kyrieeleison1 Manu Ginobili?

  • @younghoush

nope...I'd still take Price over Ginobili.

  • give me the dice cuz im twice as niceeeeeeee and i can shoot a jumper like MARK PRICE!!!

  • Not bad for a second round pick in the 1986 nba draft. Truely overlooked.

  • man price was a great point guard ... i remember he was one of the best shooters of the 3 pointer ever.

  • how is Steve Nash anything like Mark Price? Just because he was white? Nice.

  • he couldve been even better if he wouyldnt have blown out his knee.

  • soooo true uberathlete. im from cleveland and this guy was my hero growing up. nash, kidd, even stockton were all great. but this guy was amazing

  • Mark Price - Greatest Point Guard Ever!!!

  • mark price was automatic

  • Price couldn't jump but he was one of the fastest guys with the ball the league has een

  • When Price was right he was one of the best. No doubt one of the best shooters of all-time and a great passer too. Nate Archibald, Steve Nash, and Mark Price the greatest small guards ever. Price may be the best pure shooter of all-time. From the line he was a 90% shooter too.

  • Lebron and him would be soooooo nasty and ugly.

  • early 90s cave better than cavs today i do believe its true

  • I agree!

    Price

    Ehlo

    Nance

    Williams

    Daughtery

    Benett - bench

    Brandon - bench

    Kerr -

Plus the great pick and roll play with Daughtery and Price!!

  • williams came off the bench too, sanders started

  • That is one baaaaad white boy!

Before Steve Nash there was Mark Price.

Kids nowadays who don't know shit might be surprised, but almost everything you see today we've seen before.

  • Exactly.

  • I'm a huge Cavs fan, but I Nash is better than Price was. Too bad Price's career was cut short with knee injuries.

  • @uberathlete aint that the damn truth!

  • I remember watching his battles against the KNICKS, BULLS, SUNS, JAZZ, BLAZERS and many more, it didn't matter what the score was he still had ENDLESS ENERGY THROUGH OUT THE WHOLE GAME. Those were the DAY!!!

  • He threw a nice lob

  • Mark Price, Craig Ehlo....great days of basketball. Was able to see them play many times!

  • top 10 white player during the last 25 years

  • @JohnnyMac496 Preach man. Larry bird is my favorite player of all time. And im black.

  • @JohnnyMac496 Why do you have to break it down by race?

  • @JohnnyMac496 Top 25 player.....

  • mark price was an amazing and underrated point guard -

  • Swish.

  • oh man... only if there was a PG like Mark Price who can partner with LeBron in the Cavs thesedays...

  • brad daugherty, mark price, ron harper, john william. that's crazy team, they all can score. that's how competitive it was back then.

  • great underrated player ;like stockton! hey had some great spectaculars moves and pass at the occasion!

Price was also a great competitor!!!

  • underrated? he is known for being one of the best shooters in NBA history you moron

  • and many young people don't even know his name nowadays! i know him because i'm old enough! he was NOT JUST A SHOOTER (it's a narrow mind point of view) i mentionned the PLAYER that's why i said he's underated ! but i like tour comments !very constructive !

  • true point taken

  • One of the gayest songs I've ever heard. Mark Price was quite the player. He didn't deserve this measure of disrespect.

  • he came down to australia to coach and he's got absolutely no talent for that at all, but what a player.

  • yo i remenber on NBA Live 95 i scored 98 points once with this dude. Mark Price is the Goat from the 3 point line.

  • Can't believe he's not coaching college ball somewhere. I saw him coach that little Private School and they were UNREAL and only had freshmen and sophomores on the team...

  • My favorite b-ball player ever, and I'm not a Cavs fan. I was lucky enough to see him in person when he played for Orlando.

  • nash's shooting skill+ kidd's dribbling and passing skill = mark price. Respect

  • Hmmmm....maybe he was Steve Nash before Steve Nash. All three easily could avg Double figure assist wit no prob he looked to score more than J Kidd thats why I liked him over Stockton cuz he was a constant scoring threat. Kidd And Stockton both love to pass the ball but this dude put pressure on your d cuz you always had to worry about him he always made the D make a choice I told my son today if Brad Daugherty wouldnt have got hurt they woulda challenged all Malone & Stocktons records.

  • i agree, mark was a stonecold killer who was deceptivly quick and that jumper was lethal and brad was tim duncan before tim duncan

  • dude was the real deal...and a great gentleman.

  • Hey Readmore, watch the Sean Kemp video with Pearl Jam. One of the greatest mixes ever.

  • enid, oklahoma. i was at work and marks brother brent came in ( former sooner, houston rockets, ect) anyway he said mark was coaching in greece. true story

  • just so you know, he's the shooting coach for the atlanta hawks

  • brent or mark?

  • Mark

  • perfect song for mark price a great atlet and a great band

  • During the early 90's, Price was the best shooter in the NBA, and certainly had the quickest release. He was a great point guard.

  • How am I looking for racism coolade? Isn't what I said accurate? Am I completely off base with my observation? I didn't assign a value judgment to it as good or bad did I? I simply asked the question?

Now, would you care to offer a possible explanation regarding my original question?

  • my name is mark and i play basketball.

  • Hey, why do the guys usually play some rock music when they show a White Baller and usually profanity laced hip hop for the Brothas if they are under 30 years old?

  • Hey Readmore. Why look for racism where there is none. Think more readmore!

  • Probably cause Price looks like an attorney.

He sure could ball though. Could you imagine Price at Rucker park in Harlem playing a pick up game? He'd be Billy Ho on thier asses. Hustla

  • Sempre fui fã desse ótimo armador e arremessador da linha de trÊs pontos!!

  • Undercover Legend

  • He was NASTY man. I remember.

  • What the hell is this cheesy ass song?

  • why dont they bring out these great old nba videos on dvd?

  • Mark Price=One of the best shooter ever in the NBA history!

  • mark price=the real deal!

  • Excellent..I'm a Knicks fan but I always loved to watch Price play back in the day.

  • cool video, good job
