The whole idea is that sometimes free markets works miracles, but other times it fails miserably. We need to regulate the free market so they all play by the same rule and not try to bend the rules by lobbying. Alternative energy is important, but currently we do not have the infrastructure to let free market handle green energy yet since the recession.

Most of the money raised (AKA stolen) by government goes on the running of the bureaucracy. Only a small percentage ends up 'helping' the poor. Charities are far more efficient at helping the genuinely needy. Government action often does more to entrench people in poverty, than to help them out of it. It throttles the economy to do it!

The government consumes 53% of the nations wealth in the process, which makes our economy uncompetitive. If you live in the US, you should be aware that it is far from a capitalistic society. Educated women overwhelmingly tend to have kids later on in life, have less kids, her children will be better educated, less inclined to commit crimes and contribute to society. For less educated women it is the other way around. Our jails are mostly filled with people who come from poorly educated families/single mothers. That's why the government needs to provide free education and free housing while their in school.
