  • We just don`t remember Elvis....we never forgot.

  • As I listen to this song, I realize how fitting it its. I was a very young girl when Elvis passed away, but had always loved him (he was my very first "crush" :0) now I'm a grown woman and Elvis has been gone for many many years - hearing this song takes me immediately back to my childhood. Thank you so much for posting, beautiful job.

  • WOW...Elvis does an amazing cover of this....well, why am I amazed? HE IS THE KING---I AM OVERJOYED TO LIVE IN INDY--SITE OF HIS LAST CONCERT--they tore down Market Square Arena about the time of 9/11 but there is a small memorial to Elvis...kind of makes me sad that a "newer, fancier basketball and event stadium" forced it down...such is life...I know Elvis would have rolled with the punches--HE WAS AWESOME

  • hey guys, i herd anather version of this song but cant seem to track it down, singer sounds like a 'ali campbell' if anyone knws please let me knw wud b greatly appreciated :)

  • Elvis has not died he lives in our hearts for ever

  • hate that commercial & hate that woman get off of this vid

  • @kittyfleas wow what great pics I have never seen before. Thank you.

  • Happy Birthday....Elvis.. Love you always...

  • Happy Birthday...R.I.P.

  • Another beautiful song written by Willie Nelson. I think Elvis's version is good, but the arrangement sounds like the one by Ray Price.

  • LOVE this video. LOVE this song and LoLOVE< LOVE this man. Why do you have dislike buttons on his videos? IF you dislike you should not even be on one of his videos! LOVE IT< THANKS!!!

  • @tinker75686 RIGHT !!!

  • Fark to google search, I always click on the opt out options for those annoying adds.

  • " yeah, baby ..." ... love it !

  • life passes by like a warm summer day, live a life worth remembering

  • Joe's version:

    Country style (check),

    Singing technique (check)

    Voice (too much nasal)

Note: If I need Joe's voice in my ears, I might as well watching "The Nanny - Fran Drescher"

  • Never be another...

  • Very good and unforgettable country song. Elvis is the best on this song. He was great. Willie Nelson is big artist too.

  • Simply THE KING

  • Just listened to Joe Longthorne's version and can't believe anyone would even try and compare that version to Elvis'. That is a ridiculous statement. Only a relative would try and make such a claim. Check out Elvis' version of "Make the World Go Away" it's also amazing. There is a reason this man is the most popular and best voice of all time.

  • Know ONE can sing it like Elvis!!!!

  • @raisealittlel go listen to joe longthorne singing it miles better singer than elvis

  • @juv7 better singer than Elvis? no such thing man.

  • @juv7 you need to listen to a few more songs, this song doesn't even come close to the purity of his voice.

  • @juv7 Just listened to Joe Longthorne's version . . . REALLY? miles better? Sorry but you may be the only person on this earth that would make such a ridiculous statement, except for his relatives . . . are you related? To each his own but that's funny.

  • too bad elvis can't write any of his own songs. thank willie for this one.

  • Like other Teens on here, I am 17 now, and have loved him since I was very little. i don't listen to other kids, they don't know what they're talking about. They obviously don't know fantastic music when they hear it. Love you Elvis, Rest In Peace. I'll see you in Heaven some day. xxxx

  • @JessLeeming94 17 too man,my grandpa got me on elvis when i was little. Nobody I know except one person listens to clasics as this :)

  • @iRollUp256 Woah thats weird, i remember you commenting on my insidious baby comment 4 months back. Fancy reading you're comment on a video so different!

  • One of my favourites this sends shivers down my spine everytime i hear it...and i agree time definately slips away to soon ,and its true you never know or fully appreciate what you have till you've lost it.

  • It seems as if ive hardened from being good at relationships. and many girls like me but look at me weird cause im not a little punk like all the others guys now adays that are 15 i walk alone and am more manly then any of them but that's how i was raised. any advice??

  • Keep your Michael Jacksons (I like him) but Elvis will always be King of Kings, he is a one of, never be anyone even close to him again. I am 68 years old and have loved him all my life. My daughter loves him, and I.ll make sure my grandaughrers know him as well. I was lucky to live in his time he gave me and others so many happy memories

  • This is fantastic - aud n vid. tyvm!

  • "aint it funny how time slips away"

  • Gone way too soon. He is a real true artist. Lots of people imitate him, but he's the one & only Elvis.

  • @bestoftimes1976 If he had died when he was 35 he would be a lot more respected. He shit all over his legacy.

  • @ArmoredFelix

You're a dumbass. He's Elvis fuckin Presley. You don't have the credibility to insult him. What legacy do you have? Yeah, sit and think about your void of a sensible response.

  • @matizzle32 That whoosh you heard? That was my comment flying about 3 miles above your head. Idiot.

  • @ArmoredFelix If you had died two weeks ago , we would have been spared your stupid comment . You shit all over your Subaru.

  • @salemthemerciless Now that was funny. :D Ty for that.

  • @ArmoredFelix you're welcome , and thanks for being gracious .

  • @salemthemerciless You're welcome, I appreciated the utter randomness of it. Turning my own weapons against eh? Aren't you a clever devil.

  • @ArmoredFelix

I didn't hear a whoosh. Anybody else hear a whoosh? I didn't hear a whoosh. Man, you're making things up. Take your stupidity elsewhere, ape boy.

  • @matizzle32 Then here you go and get all racist. I mean it's 2011. I would think the color of my skin wouldn't matter. Obviously to your racists it does.

  • @ArmoredFelix

Actually, you're the pulling the race card. What does what I said have to do with the color of your skin?? I was simply calling you a primitive thinker because you are.

  • You did a great job on this! So did Elvis!!

  • Rarely in life someone appears that is truly unique. I've heard him called singer, star, icon, but these words slide off him, not fitting. He was Elvis, and that is the only word that truly conjures up what he was. Che la morte ti dia la pace che cercavi. Requiescat in pace.

  • how the fuck can someone compare Elvis with ..... Willy ..or anybody ??!

  • @betsoinss

Relax man. Willie is also a very great musicant - of cause not so great as Elvis. But still great. :)

I am sorry about my bad grammer, i am from denmark.

  • @soer5523 Hello, Denmark. Don't feel bad. Most Americans don't know much about English either.

  • how the fuck can someone compare Elvis with ..... Willy ..or anybody ??!

  • Wonderful song! No one can match Elvis' vocals...

  • Yes its been a long long time without you darling Elvis, almost 34 years but you will be in our hearts and minds forever, you were and still are the greatest singer/entertainer of all time. Love and miss you more each day.

  • great song! Love Elvis's cover better then the original :)

  • dont compare willie nelson to elvis. Its apples to oranges you fucking idiots.

  • elvis cheated on his wife his faith ..so no more worshipping this barely talented singer ..iam so glad we have justin beiber to show us the way

  • @arnoldkevin1 You're obviously not an obvious troll.

  • @arnoldkevin1 hahahah you can`t be serious and excuse me , it was priscilla who left Elvis for her Karate instructor Mike Stone thank you, thank you very much, lololol

  • @arnoldkevin1 you are a moron, barely talented. This man sold 1 billion 300 millions albums.

  • I love Elvis but this was really the wrong song for him. It just sounds wrong after hearing Willie's original version.

  • great................

  • Thank ya Thank ya very much. TCB! Elvis may have left the building but his music lives on forever.

  • elvis, one of a kind there will never be another like him.

  • Oh! yes...The King forever. 'Elvis we miss you'. You ruled the world with your voice. When you quietly slipped away, the world stopped. Keep singing in heaven.

  • Elvis needs to come back and do a concert if micheal jackson can he can to.

  • ELVIS YOU WON'T BE FORGOTTEN MAN!!

  • It was after. Priscilla's infidelity with Mike Stone, Elvis's karate instructor.

That betrayal by Priscilla drove Elvis to destruction

  • @boazyu Come on dude. Elvis was not monogamous. Never was. He should have kept playing the field. The Priscilla thing was a disaster. Probably no one woman could have satisfied him given his unlimited opportunities.

  • @strandwolf Priscilla did the dirty on Elvis with Mike Stone : Elvis's karate instructor.

That is a different thing entirely.

    Love ya Elvis !

  • @boazyu Right, that's so different. Cuckolded. Hey pal you balled my wife. But suppose Stone and Priscilla actually fell in love and she did not become unfaithful just to hurt him. How'd he find out anyhow? Didn't they try to keep it quiet?

  • @strandwolf

I guess Elvis was very intuitive and he sensed something was wrong between them.I think Priscilla

ran off with Mike Stone for a while, but that relationship hit the rocks for her too. You gotta

remember that Elvis was very very attached to his mother, and he really needed someone who could replace

her in his life. Priscilla wasn't that woman, but I reckon his film co star Ann Magret was.

  • @boazyu You're right about Elvis and his Mom. That could be why he couldn't satisfy Priscilla--she reminded him of his mother and that created an incest block. Though he sure grabbed her young.... By the way he hated his father for physically abusing Gladys. Yeah, Vernon used to knock her around.

  • I was living in Hawaii when Elvis died...he had a home up on the norh shore high up in Pupakea..but you could see it from Kam Highway that runs along the beach...for days, people just stood on the beach and looked up at Elvis' house..broken hearted, like the rest of the world.

  • Elvis's demise was caused by Priscilla Pressley's Infidelity

  • @boazyu Do you think that was before or after Elvis' MANY infidelities?

  • OK, I get it. But it's so obvious. You're trying to imply that Elvis was absent most of the time. Just think it would be more objective if you would have included some photos of when he was at home. He wasn't the perfect husband or father, but he was certainly more loving and present than what you've presented here.

  • i was 17 when the king died.in 1977 i visited graceland in 1997 i was in awe of the man.been there 3 times since, the KING still gives me goose bumps goin again in august 11.long live the KING.............................

  • It is funny TIME does have a way of getting away from us . Suddenly we wake up thinking this day will be the same as the day before BUT it isen't always that simple and time does slip away from all of us so tell those you LOVE that you LOVE THEM and never forget to kiss them goodbye because you thier may come a day when you will find as I did. They don't come back and the next thing you hear is a knock at your door and two policemen are there with the dreadful news Your husband is dead.LOVE YOU

  • Besides my hubby I LOVE ELVIS and yes I am an old fan in my 60's

  • Bruce Springstein the 'Boss' credits his career to Elvis.

  • The apex of a great song that can reach you on so many different levels. For those of us that are in excess of 70 years, it is the nostalgia of a time gone bye and the things we should, woulda, coulda done. Or a broken love. You can modify the song to a lot. of different things.

  • "Crazy" notwithstanding, I consider this Willie's masterpiece as a songwriter, but I've only heard two singers on record nail it the way he wrote it, and Elvis is not one of them.

  • @tuxguys Willie had his little run in the 70's......lets talk about some real entertainers

  • @jmallton

    You first.

  • Elvis you are my hero you are who I have worshipped since I was 10 years old

You are my idol, you are my life, you are the best. I am now 62 years old, and YOU STILL OUTPERFORM ALL OF TODAY'S SINGERS.

  • this is the kind of song, u would listen to after a long day, with a glass of scotch and a cigar

  • If (Elvisianity) was a religion i would have followed it

  • @simpson2221

His name pretty much IS my religion.

  • @simpson2221 great comment, love it. . . . . .

  • Comment removed

  • @simpson2221 It was loneliness...

  • Absolutly Amazing

A Worldclass singer of all time

    Thanks for sharing

    Best regards

    Hans

  • great jenna..keep it up.

I'm an Elvis impersonator in Tenneseee!

    Mark

  • Only Willie himself and The King are allowed to sing this song.

  • At 2:35 the Gentleman in the pic with Elvis is Glean Campbell.

  • The greatest artists and songwriters of all time considered it an honor to listen to Elvis versions of their songs. They all loved him. There's nothing this dude couldn't do. It's a fact.

  • @matizzle32 So true..perfect example: when asked 'what has been the highlight of your career?' Bob Dylan answered, "That's easy, Elvis covering one of my songs." People felt that way across the board. Some people don't grasp that Elvis was/is a God in the music industry.

A few quotes (not enough room here for more, but there are many!)

No one will ever touch Elvis - Garth Brooks

No one, but no one, is his equal - Mick Jagger

Elvis is the greatest that ever was, is, or ever will be - Chuck Berry

  • One of the best tunes ever from the King, thanks

  • hello there Elvis will never be forgottened thanks so much for posting

  • whose in that picture with elvis at 2:35 ? anyone know thanks in advance ..

  • wow, if he were alive today willie would kill him over for fuckin his song up

  • @Jhinson500 You obviously don't know too much, Willie wrote over 60 songs that ELVIS covered and look up willies interview about ELVIS being his favorite artist to cover his songs, as well as Bob Dylan saying that ELVIS covering his song was his CAREER HIGHLIGHT!

  • @Jhinson500 Shit fool....Elvis made Willie a lot of money

  • Kind of Funny, I'm 44 Years old, so i'm just old enough to realize how great Elvis was! RIP Brother!!!

  • No other like Elvis-not ever

  • Happy Birthday Elvis, Yes it's funny how time slips away,, not really

  • @brad04970 I heard that his diet consisted of eating obscenely large amounts of peanut butter snadwiches , and that when he died he had 160lb* of compacted faeces in his colon.

  • @AshtrayanConvict Yeah that sounds reasonable

  • @AshtrayanConvict Your really sick. To think my Dad fought in the 1st Marine Div and wore the southern Cross on his sholder. to think of all the Men in his Div who Died so you ass wipes could do this shit. Get a life

  • @brad04970 wtf are you on about ? was your dad in gallipoli?

  • ••♥❤(◠‿◠)❤♥••.♫♪♫•¸¸.•*¨*•

  • You shouldn't have married that tart Priscilla Elvis . Why ???

  • 30 years from now nobody would care to listen to today's music...But Elvis's Music will live on....!!

  • @yourdickis2limp YOU PRICK!!!

  • @krisevans111 Elvis Presley loved to travel to the UK and phuck both your mother, your father and all your grandparents when he was high on pills and booze back in the late sixties.

  • @yourdickis2limp FUnny that u fkin prick :L he never been too UK you fat shit' go get a life u dont deserve to talk about the king x

  • @krisevans111 Elvis used to go to the UK and buttphuck your papa while your mama masterbated with an oversized rubber dildo.

  • Elvis,.... if you'd just listened.

  • Got to see him live in !972 in Buffalo new York...It was a great experience. I remember the day he died...it was like the world stood still for a time...

  • one does'nt realize until it's too late and then you have to see it was for the best and it is much better if you learn something from it.

  • 12 people are twits.

  • Elvis was great at singing anything, but I especially like the way he sang the blues.

  • If you set your speakers on Stone Room, Elvis sounds divine! Luv him!!

  • @Rogelle Thanks, you are so right, he sounds phenomenal. I just can't get enough of him. He was taken away way to soon!

  • @Nettie1671 HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Don't forget to listen to "If everyday was like Christmas." Memphis Kisses and Jackiej6too posted the song.

  • funny how times slips away(40-YEARS-AGO)

    YEAH...........HOW TIMES SLIPS AWAY

  • What a masterpiece of a man!

  • love this song

  • colora40 boazyu. Maybe you are wrong aboat Elvis misstakes.Ann-Margaret

was alkoholic. She told it in Swedish tv ,I saw the broggram .If you think all these drugs he was useing it hasn`t got together whith Ann- Margarets problem. How ever

    he is the KING.

  • brilliant just brilliant

  • very nice song :O)

  • Elvis's Biggest Mistake = Marrying Priscilla Pressley

Elvis's Second Biggest Mistake = Not Marrying Ann Magret

  • @boazyu he would have never married Ann. he wanted to marry cilla and he did, thats what he wanted.

  • There's no doubt in my mind that Elvis will sell more songs after dying than any other artist will have in total. End of story.

  • this man is magic

  • Elvis The Great -- In the 1970's several near-sighted people said Elvis was too old to be a rock star anymore. Elvis was the first, so he was the oldest. He was the only reference. Now, today, years later, there are hundreds of aged old rock stars still singing and performing on stage. They're way past the age of 42. ELVIS IS STILL YOUNG AT 42.... Elvis The Great.

  • IM 12 AND I LOVE ELVIS!!!!!!!!!!

  • CHARISMA =ELVIS

  • No one did any song like him - so unique!
