  • Bulkier and $400 more than a Aimpoint T-1 with the same results.

  • @IlliniEnginerd21

New tech, made in USA, first run

If you can run a quality optics manufacturer better, I suggest you do it, we all want the best value for our dollar...

or was your intent simply to crap on someone who is trying to bring something new to the market while putting a few people to work in the process ?

  • @GunWebsites By no means was I trying to crap on Trijicon. I think they're close to having a real winner. I dig the larger window, the lack of the perceived "tube effect", and insane battery life. I think they missed on price point and weight in an already crowded red dot sight market. If they got rid of the solar panel (and associated switching electronics) and ran a single CR123 and priced it around $700 (as a result of removing those components) they'd have my interest.

  • @IlliniEnginerd21

Because an Aimpoint runs without a battery?

  • looks great.., i'd really like to try one out with a 3x magnifier or a pvs-14 too.., is it just a red dot ?? or possibly a chevron ? donut ??

  • ★★★★★

  • It runs over six years with what?

  • fugly

  • honesty i was more interested in that "feather weight" AR than the sight

  • When I looked at this at SHOT both myself and a friend noticed that when we looked through it there was a very predominantly visible red red oval ghost or reflection from the overhead lights. It was pretty apparent that it was mainly due to the angled front lens. I'm a bit surprised that I haven't seen others comment on seeing the same thing unless we just happened to see it in the right conditions, but I'm a bit doubtful on that. If you get another chance to handle one check it out. I'll pass.

  • Dude this must cost a fortune

  • It's like an Aimpoint with some new fancy features! Would love to see a comparison between an aimpoint and this SRS unit from trijicon to see how much better this no tube effect is they claim. It certainly looks like it would give the shooter a lot less visual obstruction. I'm happy with my comp ml3 and by no means looking to replace it especially as I'm sure this costs a pretty penny too. Thanks for showing us!

  • Looks kinda big, but I like it!! Thanks for sharing

  • love that sight

  • It looks like my kids rock tumbler

  • Did that guy say "One through shree"

  • cool but its a little bulky

  • Ninja Glock compatible???

  • Price was somehting like 800. Im curious as to what it would look like on a G36. It seems like it would look really good.

  • It's too big and doesn't look like it could take a drop on that solar cell. The fiber optics break on the ACOGs all the time. It would have to be very competitively priced to do well against the other red dots.

  • I wonder what biblical verse they are gonna put on this one.

  • Will it run without a battery during the day?

  • @YummYumYumY It runs off of a solar cell during the day. He says so around :30 mark.

  • hopefully it's $1k or less.

  • after the battery dies, will it still work just off the solar panel in the sun light?

  • is the price as big as the sight ?

  • approximate price?

  • That looks like a brick holy sight batman

  • i love it when my optics cost more than my gun!

  • What handguard is that?

Love the sight and the handguard!

  • @MadR6 looks like carbon fiber...I think I'm more interested in that handguard than the sight lol

  • It's too big.

    That's what she said.

  • Trijicon riflescop housing and glass are made in Japan. Enjoy your radiation...

  • @Derail07 SRS and ACOGs are machined and assembled in Wixom, MI.

  • @Orin11 - Nope Read the site. They are assembled in the usa. Japan metal and glass

  • @Derail07 Only the Accupoint line is as you describe it. The remaining products are machined and assembled in Wixom, MI, that apparently includes the new TARS. If you own any of the products you will see that only the Accupoint says "Made in Japan", my ACOG and other products say "Made in USA".

As, I didn't find the specific reference you mentioned I think it is far more likely that the website was in error considering the fairly permanent nature of etching and embossing.

  • @Orin11 they are in fact "Made" /Assembled in USA but the metal and glass is made in Japan. My point is I would pay that price if it all was 100% made in America because that’s all I buy. I like Trijicon products it’s just disappointing they cannot create more American Jobs.

  • @Derail07 Go to Trij Home page: Support: Most Trijicon products are “Made in USA”, meaning that we manufacture them in our factory in Michigan. Only the Trijicon AccuPoint is “Assembled in USA”, meaning that we do not manufacture this product but we do assemble the parts in our Michigan factory. In our attempt to provide our customers with the best quality products at a reasonable price, we have determined that it is best to import the riflescope housing and glass from a supplier in Japan.

  • When the materials arrive in our factory, we make it into a Trijicon AccuPoint by installing the fiber optic/tritium illumination module, assembling the scope, setting the parallax and packaging the scope for sale. Whether made or assembled in our factory, every Trijicon product built with the same focus on quality and precision.

  • They need to get the price point on that thing WAY WAY down to enter the market with it.

There's absolutely no way it's going to compete unless it drops to the $500 mark. The fancy features of having a solar cell on the top won't attract many people when an aimpoint can run for 5 years on one battery. Not like battery life is an issue here... Like the larger profile, but really, it needs some built in magnification like an elcan for the price point its at.

  • that thing look like it could charge my laptop

  • I never understood how a company could change so much for a sight that had finishing issues.

  • thats probably the coolest looking ar ive seen to date

  • I would take a Aimpoint T1 over this simply due to the sleekness factor...

  • why so srs?

  • Wow! Few more years and they will invent a Mepro sight

  • @mafiajimmy What's a mepro sight? Not trolling I really don't know

  • @constantin23454 google.com --> mepro sight

  • We saw a glimpse of this when you where at you magpul shoot right?

  • @SPARTAN23123xS23x

yea that was a prototype, they are soon to be released now

  • is that a JP rifle its mounted on?

  • @scottishbadboytracks Looks like a Christensen Arms AR due to the fact its wearing a carbon fiber wrapped barrel and handgaurd, not a 100% but pretty sure...

  • @skylined12 yeah your right..cheers for that mate

  • @skylined12 yeah it is, id recognize that rifle anywhere

  • I wonder how durable the solar panel is going to be up top. Looks to be a nice option. I like the run time. Great vid Gwebs

  • That thing is huge! The optical blind spot is huge too! Trijicon is awesome. This thing is expensive, appears to be cumbersome and huge!

  • Would so spend a grand on that. No jokes.

  • That thing has got to cost at least 10-15 million dollars

  • That looks different. Wouldn"t mind having one on my mosin nagant. lol

  • @finessewes9119 lol you could probably have 10 or 12 mosin's for one of them! Looks like an awesome sight though.

  • @finessewes9119 LOL there's a small price difference between those two items! :)

  • @finessewes9119 That was exactly my thought: throw one on my mosin! It would be perfect for a scout rifle!

  • drooling

  • First
