get fucked halfwit. If it were "call it aftermath", the lyric would contain no grammatical connection. This is not something which is exhibited by maynards lyrics in any other song I can think of. Given how articulate his lyrics are, that would be a misnomer.

I have always found meaning in "calling out to me, she's turning blue, such a lovely colour for you,.... but i didn't want to know".

Given the suicide/addiction themes of the entire album, always kinda thought the song was about suicidal overdoses as an attention seeking behaviour. Fits with the outsider's theme of suicidal attention seeking as well.

Maynard is well known for having ambiguous and changing lyrics though, but regardless of this, they are all cohesive, articulate statements.
