  • I feel so bad for The White Star Line. Basically all their ships were sank or did sink from hitting ether floating mines or a iceburg. They were the golden age of passenger liner travel. Their main competitors at the time "Cunard" are still in exsistance today, and bought the rights to the White Star Line name, hence when you board ex The Queen Mary II, you will notice a saying printed and spoken stating "White Star Line Service" At least theres still some "IC" left from eons past.

  • This Comments are Kindergartenkacke.Hope you all understand. With or without "Umlaut".Better get a Job rather than wasting time here giving stupid comments.

  • The name is HMHS Britannic not HMS Brittanic and is brother to Titanic not sister to Titanic.

  • @JoanTayeda Ships are always referred to as "she." Therefore, sister. Just like Titanic was sister to Olympic.

  • @yourweathertodayHD I'm from Spain and in Spain the ships are refered to as "he". So that's why I said that. ;)

  • @JoanTayeda Well in Greece too man. Here we say the brother of Titanic...

  • Too bad they will never raise it

  • @Zebonka Well to tell you the truth, it is possible and it'll cost from 150 to 500 million dollars! Sadly, those fucks the English Goverment and Greek Goverment {I'm Greek by the way}have no intention to pay to raise a historic ship like this! And even if a rich person wanted to do it, they won't allow it! Anyway, Britannic seems safe there!!

  • <3

  • Hate to burst the bubbles, you all have been spelling her name wrong, its Britannic and not Brittanic

  • Great video! keep them coming!

  • thats some serious penetration for 400ft.

  • every time i see the britannic titanic comes into my head

  • MESSAGE TO: "YeahSure72"

Sorry, I don't have a way to add an "umlaut" on the Gohring, so I spelled the poor lout as Goehring... However, I congratulate you on catching the missing umlaut!

  • not to be smart but its actually hmhs brittanic (her majesty's hospital ship)

  • Recently saw a documentary claiming this team went into Brittanic in 2006 -- claiming they went in deeper than anyone else, boiler room 6 or something -- looking for a water tight door. According to them it would explain why it sank if the door was closed or open. But they ran into a wheel barrow and silted out. ...they claim to have penetrated deepest so far. I couldn't find it online, was wondering if it were true.

  • @noantsproductions there is a video on youtube called WRECK OF THE HMHS BRITANNIC by tinsproductions which shows what you describe. It is true :-)

  • This would be dream of mine diving to the Brittanic!

  • I was told as a kid and as a Young man that the Ship order for the Olmpic Class ships was for 2 vessels with an option for a Third.

A maximum order of a total of 5 ships was at one point a Long term Goal of the White Star Line depending on the amount of Busines secured by the new Beautiful Olympic Class Ships . A major Factor was the upcoming Great War which everyone knew was coming.

  • I know how scary it is to penetrate a wreck in the dark, once diving within one of the wrecks at Scapa Flow my torch went out. Total dark I was in, i gave it a tap and on it came as you can imagine I was out of there quickly.

  • backup lights..

  • @loyndsy

    lol

  • @loyndsy How would you have the bravery to go inside a shipwreck? The ship is HUGE!!!

  • @zombislayerpwnsnoobs with a proper equipment (not GUE/DIR) its a piece of cake.

  • @a6km I know but it's scary. The thing is huge, what if it collapses, what if you get lost?

  • @zombislayerpwnsnoobs with right equipment you wont get lost they use guide ropes and lines etc so they can find their way back and proper exploration of the wreck before you go in to know in what shape it is minimize the risk of a collapse. they spent quite a bit of time diving to the site before they actually go in.

  • I`am not very experienced in technical diving but i think with 15 min bottomtime the divetime will be round about 190min, i guess.

But i`d love to see the excact data`s of this dive.

  • 190min under water..?!! wow... im not a diver or have ever been diving...i wish i could...but the thought freaks me out...i could never put my life into a tank and hope everything goes well! drowning would have to be one of the worst ways to die!! mind you im not some pussy... im a big adreline fan, go on like the scariest rides. include the worlds tallest free fall ride on the Gold Coast...and ben inside a formula one race care whilst doing 260km/p but diving...tooo scary!

  • Those long dives you do with full redundant equipment, so if something fails you have some in spare. But after all theres still some risk.

and...rofl 260km/h i am doing with my own car :D thank god i live in germany where this is allowed to .

  • yes your lucky in germany... yous have the autobarn or something and no road speed limits! in Australia speed limit max is 110.. thats for freeways and its maximum speed you can travell anywhere in the country, it sucks! but no i don't mean just 260km/p..? don't u know what formula 1 is?? i mean 260km/p in like 3 seconds! thats a massive adreline rush... your face is like fulled back! and its scary as hell... it probaly takes you like 40sec to reach this speed...so its nothing

  • true... the only way to get this feeling on the road here is with a motorcycle.... . lucky you cause you could go with a formula car. this yould thrill me also.btw you iive in australia and you`re not diving???? I`d give my right hand for some dives on great barrier reef.

  • lol your cool! haha yea great barrier reef is apparently reallii beautiful! thats so cool how you know about it too... but dude you can't expect just coz i live here i'd do all activities that are associated with Oz... plus i live in sydney...great reef is 14 hour drive up to the tropics of queensland! i do surfing..? its like saying dude, you have snow in germany.. do u do snow boarding, alphine skiing, & boblsed all the time! you should visit Oz..we love germans! but still diving is scary 4 me

  • Gentlemen, your arguments are MOOT! When the HMS Brittanic sunk, Hitler was a nameless corporal at the French front and Herman Goering was a slim fighter pilot. Basically the ship sunk in 1916... The Nazis didn't even exist there.

  • Göring*

  • @kmantzouranis They existed....in Hitler's mind ;)

  • Wow, twinset with two stages at 120m! Thats a brave dive, what bottom time did you get? How long was the deco? Upsidedown bottle at 2:20 argon?

  • Well, I keep to piss upon your f... Union Jack! Ugly islandmonkey Bastard!!!!

They don't say made in UK. The BIG label in the world was made in Germany! Well, you see, Britannic, Titanic, Lousitania... MADE IN UK. Wow! They're looking great beyond the sea!

  • why the fuck do you want to offend every Englander....keep it between you both..and then you say they look great on the bottom of the sea...Nein Gut....It was clearly labelled a hospital ship and was sunk by a U boat in the night....Hardly a courageous act was it? Or do you think this is one of Germanies great triumph's?

It was a shameful act and you should be ashamed of your comments. Sheisskopf

  • Wenn man schon versucht auf einer solch komplexen Sprache wie dem Deutschen zu schreiben, sollte man wenigstens versuchen die Vokabeln richtig hin zu bekommen. Knetkopp!

  • i know german is a complex language but so is english, just because english is my first language,it does not make me ignorant...tun Sie Sie verstehen?

  • You should be care full with such things. I don't have anything to do with that wars in early days!

What should the NATIVE american say about those fucking Europeans takeing their land??? The American today aren't to blame for that slaughters, but it happened! By the way, for example what Britain did in Australia or India at once wasn't in accordance with human rights in any way! So don't blame other people for things which happened more than 90 years ago. I don't as well!

  • its nice that they can actually explore the britannic in detail, whereas this would be impossible in the case of the titanic

  • It is amazing that she is still in such good shape after 94-years of salt water.

  • The Britannic's interiors (similar to Olympic and Titanic) were installed at Harland & Wolff. She was nearly completed for the White Star Line's North Atlantic service when she was taken over for the war. She was not an empty shell or 'war ship' w/plain steel bulkheads.

  • is that Enya?

ether way i like that song

AND + I AM GERMAN AND I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE WAR SO SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT HOW ITS ALL THE GERMANS FAULT IT WAS ACTUALY THE NAUTSIES YOU FAGS!

  • Yeah, it's Enya. Can't remember the song though. And I know it was the NAZI's, NOT THE GERMANS.

  • Germans were nazis... just the germans in the war for hitler were nazis. So technically it was the germans

  • 90 meters down and squezing through hatches of history i dont care bout germans or mines you guys are awsome one day i wish to do even close

  • is this not a war grave

  • What happened to the Grand Staircase btw? It doesn't look like it's there anymore, did it break up and lift out like the Titanic's?

  • I think it collapsed through the ship on to the sea floor. I'm not for sure.

  • wtf it sank in one peace

  • the ship didnt have the full grand staircase in it when it went down, it was a war ship at the time all or most decorations were removed so it could be turn into a war ship, all thats would have been left is the stairs its self.

  • It is ironic that the titanic lays in 12,000ft of water and yet the images of her are far more clear than anything i've ever seen of the Britannic! As the Britannic is only in about 300ft of water, I wish that some good quality and BRIGHT pictures could be taken of her. These images are nice but, if you compare then to images of the Titanic's interior, they leave a lot to be desired in terms of quality.

  • thats exactly why, the titanic lies in 12,000 feet of water and the britannic in 300. the currents are stronger 300 feet down compared to two and a half miles and the water is murkier. thats why the pictures are different plus, these are divers and not robotic vehicles which only produce a wake from their propellors

  • I've just realized that the White Star Line ended the ships' names with ic.Like Titanic,Olympic,Brittanic,Oceanic etc. lol

  • OMG!!! A part of the beautiful glassed dome survived the collision!!!! The dome was beautiful and its easy to identify that the part that survived was the middle circular row next to the lamp of the entire dome!!! I would have to say thanks for showing the entire world that at least a small section of the dome survived!!! Amazing!!!!

  • 3:11. Was that the dome of the staircase?

  • What equipment did you use?

  • I'm a wreck diver in Salvador/BRAZIL and this video is simple one of the best wreck diving videos that I had seen. Good job!!!

  • Gash ! I had always want to see it ! Thank you so much !

  • socalkev, I don't know if that is a joke or something, but if it is, I don't get it. That isn't a sister of the Titanic. The only sisters and the Britannic and the Olympic and the Britannic sank. Its the Olympic that didn't. The Olympic was scrapped in 1937.

  • nomadic is consider titanics little sister.

  • RichieF71, the Nomadic was one of the tenders that carried people out to Titanic when she was in Cherbourg. Nomadic is moored in the Seine in Paris and is about the only link left to Titanic afloat. Nomadic is often called Titanic's little sister for that reason although she bears no resemblance at all to the Olympic class liners.

  • I take it that the Brittanic isnt as far down underwater as the titanic.

  • wow! I wanna see more!

  • The Primary explosion didn't cause as much destruction as the secondary explosion, theories suggests from ignitions in the Britannics boiler room.

And the deaths were caused by the vortex of water around the propellers, pulling x amount lifeboats and destroying them, killing the 30 people in the process.

  • only titanics little sister hasnt sunk SS NOMADIC!!!!!!

  • Since there appears to be evidence of the glass dome being broken would it have been possible to enter the wreck through the hole in the boat deck where the overhead dome would have been? Fascinating video!!

  • Brittanic was almost identical to Titanic but larger. She was still being built when Titanic sank. Completed in 1914, She was originally going to be named "Gigantic" but after Titanic sank it was changed to Brittanic. WWI started and Brittanic was converted to a Hospital ship. She hit a German Mine on Nov 21, 1916. sinking in 55 min. 30 lives were lost, 1036 were saved. She is off the cost of Greece in 400ft of water. Jacques Cousteau found the wreck in 1975. Check wikipedia for more info.

  • what ship of the white star lines hasn't sunk.... like come on!!!! titanic and this one and a hole lot more!!!!

  • actually alot of their ships never sank, the most memorable being the Olympic. White Star Lines had alot of bad fate along with the Cunard Lines. their only two un-sunken memorable one were the Aquatania and the Mauritania.

  • oh.... but i thought the Olympic didnt sink??

  • it didn't i said that alot of their ships NEVER sank.

  • i would be scared on that ship

  • wouln't it be confusing with a ship that's turned almost 90 degrees?

  • Thanks a lot thehefercow. Makes sense. I do not think the entire ghosts of the abyss is on here is it? Although it should be!!! Also just like Titanic's last mysteries I think it is.

  • How come they do not have any people like that search through the titanic?

  • the titanic is neerly 2.5 miles down where the pressure is about 6 thousand pounds per square inch (more than enough to kill), while the britannic is only in about 300ft of water. but they still use ROV's (robots) to explore the interiors of the titanic, where they found alot of wood paneling, fixtures fireplaces ect. just serch for "ghosts of the abyss"

  • well maybe a flying hippo decided to land on deck and that waided to much so it made it sink

  • it was hit by a German submarine terpedo and 2 boom sound one was terpodo and i think there was weppen on ship...

  • No it wasn't, part of britanic was blew open when it hit an underwater mine from a german mine barrier.

  • your thinking of the RMS Lusitania.

  • it was hit by a German submarine terpedo and 2 boom sound one was terpodo and i think there was weppen on ship...

  • very nice video

  • How did the Brittanic sink?

  • the germans got it lol

  • yeah it was a german submarine who torpedo it..

  • that was the Lusitania. Britannic hit a mine.

  • awsum video mate!
