Building safe water wells is a wonderful solution.

And you are right, all it would take would be some wood and coals. However, in many places, firewood is scarce and very valuable and coals are even more so. Boiling water for 1500 people in a village everyday would therefore be very expensive and difficult. Again, water wells are great long term solutions that promise clean water

some people from water is life (1:25) came to are school and a little kid had the idea of having a arcade at the school. this kind of arcade is were people bring their games and game consoles and set them up to play. the wristbands that allowed you to play the games were $5.00 each, and you could also buy some pizza and other snacks. the money amount that we raised was unbelievable we raised over 5,000 dollars from that. This was a great way to raise money. keep thinking of more ideas!!!!
We still have that in my part of the world (though not where I live). The same rivers people get drinking water from are also the places where people defecate in, bathe in, throw rubbish in, wash clothes in, etc. Drinking it is a matter of survival, and that means children drink that stuff too.

I hate how the news doesn't talk about this. Only when a natural disaster strikes, like when Haiti had their earthquake. They gave them pumps. But what about the other parts of the world?? So basically you gotta have tornado coming through your country in order to get clean water that you already have? some people from water is life (1:25) came to are school and a little kid had the idea of having a arcade at the school. this kind of arcade is were people bring their games and game consoles and set them up to play. the wristbands that allowed you to play the games were $5.00 each, and you could also buy some pizza and other snacks. the money amount that we raised was unbelievable we raised over 5,000 dollars from that. This was a great way to raise money. keep thinking of more ideas!!!!

We still have that in my part of the world (though not where I live). The same rivers people get drinking water from are also the places where people defecate in, bathe in, throw rubbish in, wash clothes in, etc. Drinking it is a matter of survival, and that means children drink that stuff too.

ugh, I'm all for clean drinking water but if you're burning 12 grand on transporting heavy equipment in to drill a water hole for a temporary solution instead of setting up a system to boil off and purify the frikken river at 0:45 then you need a change in management.

i donated £/$1.000(donated in £ but converted into $) its an amazing i went to one of the places to help build a well aswel and the people there are so kind and are not actually what pictures show... there worse i also brought 5 gallons of water to a tribe deep in the forests, they are so poor the sleep on bits of wood and have a puddle to drink from! i feel realy sorry for them so every year i take 10 gallons of water to them, when i get my video camra i will record a visit. supput me subscribe

I knew that many people were without drinking water, but I never knew it was so terribly serious as this. I don't see this in the news, on TV, anywhere, but dirty water kills more people than war? That's ridiculous. More people should know about this.
