LOL. They should have filmed this in B/W with the lead singer walking around with a guitar strapped to his back while gazing over the railing of a ship.
Howling over your remark! But do remember that imitation is the most sincere form of flattery and if you are going to try to emulate someone it may as well be the best, right? AND NO ONE IS BETTER than the Bunnymen.
Sundays 11 p.m. central times it's 120 min classic. used to be on wed and thurs nights but now only sunday. Some good and some lame but all in all real good. I'm 33 and it's what I grew up on and miss . send me a message if you want more info on it. thanks for posting the video whoever you are
BIKERJAKE: The problem is that Radio in the U.S is all monopolized and corporate. That being said, most of these contemporary acts do not impress. Long live the 80's and the early 90's.
ClearChannel radio here is finally fixing their wrongs but yeah a I totally agree with you. If it's not some craptastic wannabe punk or pop or homie love shit it will not be played. I really wish stations listened to us and not telling us what we should listen to. RAP SUCKS
I agree, the music today is all corporate and shallow. Back in the 80's there was a VARIETY of differnt sounds...from Bruce Springsteen to Spandau Ballet and everything in between. Now it's all shallow, commercial, all sounding like a cheap rip off of Green Day.
what do you mean with the indie rock or alternative??? this is total pure and clean pop,no effects or rap in the middle, just the song, we do not see this kind of pop anymore just were at the glorious 80´s last time we could heard it.
Wow, this take me back! In my college days back in 1994, I saw them at the now defunct Edge in Palo Alto. Grunge was all the rave back then, but these guys rocked. Great show for a band that punctuated the new wave era.
This is the last crashing crescendo of the New Wave and the New Romantic. It's so important because what all began so many years earlier is perfectly synthesized here and what you are hearing and seeing is the last crest of that wave. Then it's gone forever.
That music is the soundtrack of my life...my dream time when I was an adolescent, imagining and dreaming of a better future...from The Smiths, Morrissey, The Cure, Depeche Mode, and these great songs...New Wave, New Romantic, Echo and the Bunnymen, Psychedelic Furs, INXS, all brilliant.
I had the entire song as the greeting on my answering machine. Callers either hung up or swore about having to listen to the entire song, thereby taking up all available space. Now I have nothing.
First tape I ever bought. Drove to the Chameleon Club in Lancaster my senior year in high school to see them. When I got there you had to be 18. I was seriously upset. Do they still reside in Hershey PA?
This music brings back all of the happiest times of my life. I got hooked around 1994-ish, junior year in HS. The next three years were the best ever!
Senior year high school-my friends and I loved this band. We were always hoping that their videos would be played on 120 Minutes on MTV. Still continue to buy their music and can't wait until their new CD comes out.
This is the first time i've seen this video i listen to this band on tape hundreds of times while living in US great band i listen to it driving through the us aswell in 92 then it can my favourite tape while i travelled across australia with 3 mates in the same year they loved it great memories irony my girlfiend in new york who i thought was the one gave me the tape brilliant and that from an englishman

Yeah, I expected bigger things out of them. The Ocean Blue sort of reminded me of Echo and the Bunnymen.

One of my favorite bands from the 80's. This band got me laid.

are you sure you are not talking about the 90's??? TOB weren't really popular in the 80's...maybe you are referring to the Smiths?
Either way, you are right, TOB's music is quite sexy and ethereal...great mood music!!

actually if i could get the orginal audio and the wav file for this song i can redo the video and post it here again.

also in mision viego

A lot of TOB's songs are about paintings and/or Books; very intellectual band. The took up the void left when the Smiths broke up. Great video!
