Fuck off Right-Wing Cu***, the lot of you. Meritocracy capitalism and greed is not the way forward. You said you wont be rich, cos poverty is so large, how come you own 3.5 million £ in property alone? You have no idea what real people are going through, having thier £10 a week taken from them because they are depressed is not the answer, care is! Fuck off you e
im unemployed bt im volunteering until i get a paid job cuz i feel guilty taking other ppls hard earned money if i were doing fuck all!
the disabled r a different matter. IF they cant physically work then of course they shud keep getting their money but SOME disabled CAN work. a wheelchair person can use a fucking phone!!
Unlike in 1997, when there was such a desire for change, there is no overwhelming desire for the Tories. tax cuts for the rich, cuts in public services is not going to help it will plunge us backwards. The Tories' rhetoric about progressive conservatism does nothing to mask the fact their ideas mark a return to Thatcherism.Nothing fixes a thing so intensely in memory as the wish to forget it and we ain't forgotten the Tories.
In August 2008 David Cameron accepted free flights to hold private talks and attend private parties
with Murdoch on his yacht.Well the tory press are at it again, Cameron's losing out to Cleggs image and Browns substance The Tory press sharpen their knives this time against the LibDems!!. Boycott the Tory Press.
Nothing fixes a thing so intensely in memory as the wish to forget it and we ain't? forgotten the Tories or the Murdoch propagandists.
A Sun poll says the Tories under David Cameron are racing ahead?
A Sun Poll what a load of crap they are at it again, putting an eyecatching story of little substance (children's clothes) on the front page hoping to grab your attention and then hoping you will digest the manipulating political crap within. Don't buy that crap and don't vote Tory.
i think people on benefits (JSA) should be forced to do some community work or lose their benefits. if they refuse to give something back why should people who work hard day in day out on minimum wage (like me) pay for them. Most is wasted on alcohol and drugs.
@longlivejacko Jesus Christ, the tories really have got to you, haven't they. Force people to do community work? How about chain gangs for the disabled? Those lazy disabled people do nothing for the community, how about we enslave them, force them to give something back?
@shaherrazam That is a churlish mis-representation of the Conservative position on welfare reform. It's also not what the poster you're replying to was arguing for in any way. The decent, hard-working, tax-paying majority of this country have a legitimate right to demand that their money is spent both wisely and fairly. Labour's betrayal of the great silent majority of this country is one of the reasons our social contract between the govt. and the people is so damaged.
@UnitedBritannia Don't worry, I was responding to a specific comment posted on here, suggesting that the unemployed should be forced to do community work, not Tory policy in general. It seemed a little extreme to me. More a hangover from the Tebbit/Portillo days!
Thats funny 2 years ago when Blair decided that he would advocate all women shortlists to allow women MPs, Cameron was surrounded by women at the party conference. Reality dictates however. The men are back. Labour lies Tories even bigger lies. Vote Green 4June. Since wen have the tories been the party of the NHS? Cameron is the horse of troy, just wait wen he gets elected the older tories will soon hi-jack this party. They will return to their cruel philosophy of inequality, human imperfection

"end the something for nothing culture. If you don't take a reasonable offer of a job, you lose benefits." Right on! If people are endlessly rewarded for being dependent, they will always be dependent. A welfare state is not a solution to poverty. It is the cause.
I didn't say poverty never existed before. Poverty has always existed & will always exist. Welfare removes incentive to escape poverty. It prevents people from learning valuable lessons that would enable them to be successful. It rewards people for staying in poverty, & punishes them for trying to escape. People that would otherwise escape become trapped. It also replaces the bread winning role of parents, leading to more single parent households. These are the ways welfare causes more poverty.
blindfolded conservative thinking. U r suggesting the man on street is the problem. The system is the problem! Give him a chance to succeed in school, support him and raise the minimum wage so he thinks lets work! If you got off your throne you'd see the choice he has is between lifting everyone elses trash off the street, cleaning toilets or benefits. Neither boosts the economy, neither creates a satsifaction, and neither provides alot to society. If you were in their schools what wud u choose?
oops if you were in their shoes what would you choose? :P People don't just become pregnant to get money, absolutely ridiculous. You lower the status of a family to a mere money relation. The aim of society should be to further emancipate women; give them a chance in the working world, not let the recession let them fall back in the 'conservative' role of being the housewife dependent on the 'breadwinning' male.
as a man who has been on benefits for over a year who has been seeking a well fulfilling job (that doesn't involve working on some bike path that the people in prison could have done a better job on) I feel too much focus has been put on getting people into work and not enough on getting work back into the country.

We have just lived through 2 terms of world domination by the conservative GEORGE BUSH.
He caused Britain to be less secure (Remember 7/7 happened after Iraq)
He caused global financial collapse, by easing regulation.
He aided the rise of extreme groups in the UK like the EDL/Islam4uk.
He ignored/banned any environmental movement.
He encouraged governments to spy on their citizens and distrust their neighbours.
This is NOT a right wing moment.
This is a LEFT wing moment.
Vote for NICK CLEGG

Truthfully, I must say that David Cameron is not very impressive as leader of the Conservative Party.

I'm reminded me of a quote by Reagan;
"Welfare's purpose should be to eliminate, as far as possible, the need for it's own existence."

Because poverty never existed before the welfare state! Oh wait, thats utter rubbish. Vote blue, get into the red!
