Great song...Her album "Pray" came out in '98, and it was LIGHT years ahead of its time, especially in the Christian genre. It was one of the most innovative sounds out there at the time...still sounds fresh today. Tedd T. did a mind-boggling job on the production. It's a shame that they never pushed "Mirror"--it was my favorite on the album.

This kind of music is too worldly. That's why Evangelicals are leaving the faith because of worldly music like this. This kind of music follows the genre of worldly secular music and creates a brain frequency that keeps the mind locked into this world. That's why it's so spiritually dangerous. The Illuminati and Freemasons created "Christian rock," to numb people down and lead them into apostasy. This is occuring today. Only 9% of Evangelicals adults hold to a biblical worldview.
The only way to maintain the type of world that you are picturing is to sever all ties to the outside world, move off somewhere far from everyone else, and start your little self contained community. On the other hand, if you do that, how are you to witness and lead others to Christ? We are to be in this world, yet be not of it. Who cares how secular the song or music is? You're wrong. You have to understand that some people are more spiritually mature then you. They can see things that you are not capable of seeing. The pop and rock genre lowers the spiritual consciousness of a person and keeps their mind locked and stuck in the worldly plain. This is not perceived as it is occuring. Orthodox Christian music is Christian. You haven't heard all my arguments. Only 9% of all "born again" people today hold to a biblical worldview. Meaning, most of them do not even believe the Bible anymore. It is the kind of people who listen to this poisonous music that are leaving Christianty. I don't see this as worldly at all. It is difficult to get youth to enjoy listening to music that is christian. I think this is a huge help. I have seen her in concert and she is definatly a woman of God.

I, too, have seen Rebecca in concert 4 times now, and she is one of the most Godly people I've ever met, a true servant of the Lord.

Christian is just a name, a label. You kno deep down inside you that the Holy Spirit is still there and you can never go back to the world once you know the peace of God. Dont say your no longer a christian bro. When someone hangs on a cross for you and dies there, you offend them by say that. It's like saying I know what you did for me, but I'm going to simply ignore it. You write "good times", but ur leaving that! Without Jesus there are no good times, life without him is...LOST TIME!!!

This kind of music is too worldly. That's why Evangelicals are leaving the faith because of worldly music like this. This kind of music follows the genre of worldly secular music and creates a brain frequency that keeps the mind locked into this world. That's why it's so spiritually dangerous. The Illuminati and Freemasons created "Christian rock," to numb people down and lead them into apostasy. This is occuring today. Only 9% of Evangelicals adults hold to a biblical worldview.

The only way to maintain the type of world that you are picturing is to sever all ties to the outside world, move off somewhere far from everyone else, and start your little self contained community. On the other hand, if you do that, how are you to witness and lead others to Christ? We are to be in this world, yet be not of it. Who cares how secular the song or music is? Does it inspire people to come to Jesus? Isn't that what really matters, not personal preference?

The genre is so worldly in terms of the beats, sounds, drums, etc, that it keeps the mind locked into worldly consciousness. That's why Evangelicals are in apostasy and falling from their faith left and right today. The genre is worldly.

Okay, I understand your point. Yes, it is worldly, but in most cases of Christian songs like this one, that only means that alot of people like this type of music and it makes the song more relateable.
Isn't that what we want? For all people to be able to relate to Christian songs so that it might speak to their heart, and that they might be lead to God?

I love this song. I love it because it sounds good, and because the lyrics speak to my heart -- spiritually. It makes my relationship with God grow.
It doesn't matter if it's "worldly." "Worldy" does not mean only wordly people can listen to it, it just means alot of worldly people do listen it, and that maybe it came from the world.
The most important thing about a song is the lyrics. The Bible says words are very powerful.

I'm not against the lyrics. I've stated over and over again it's the GENRE of music that is wrong. The genre is after worldly music of pop and rock. It has the same kind of energy of worldly music.

I don't understand your opposition to the pop and rock genre. Is upbeat and energetic music somehow sinful? There is nothing inherently satanic or evil with any instruments, all that matters is what message the lyrics portray.

You're wrong. You have to understand that some people are more spiritually mature then you. They can see things that you are not capable of seeing. The pop and rock genre lowers the spiritual consciousness of a person and keeps their mind locked and stuck in the worldly plain. This is not perceived as it is occuring. Both the genre and the lyrics must be Christian. You cannot blend sweet with bitter.

I think you're just making that all up. Your whole argument is based on the idea that YOU know that the background music or beat compels people to join Satan or something. There is absolutely no evidence that those who listen to music like this fall away from faith; if anything, this kind of music brings people to Christ. Orthodox Christian music is Christian. You haven't heard all my arguments. Only 9% of all "born again" people today hold to a biblical worldview. Meaning, most of them do not even believe the Bible anymore. It is the kind of people who listen to this poisonous music that are leaving Christianty. I get emails from atheists and pagan's who are former Evangelicals. I'm going to make a video in the near future on this.

God says we should give the Word to all people. How do you do that? Put it in a package that they understand. If I spoke Chinese and you gave me God's word in English, would I be interested? No. I believe it is the same with music, if I want to reach todays younger generation, I would speak to them with what they will listen to, what they understand. That is upbeat music that sounds main stream the difference is the message. Maybe God has personaly convicted you about this music for some reason?

ummmm.... I'm pretty sure you're argument is like saying you can only read Bibles that have leather covers, no vinyl or paperbacks??? I don't think you can say a genre of music is "unchristian" b/c others misuse it for their own glory, there are plenty of worship leaders standing up on a stage trying to gain glory for themselves by singing "Orthodox Christian Music"

The "genre" of the music is Christian pop/rock. Jesus said to be "in the world but not of it." That is exactly what Christian music like this is: in the world but not of it. That is obvious.

Many posts here are in the same "spirit" as the Pharisees thought and lived. To say only one -my own of course- style of music is "christian" and all other music is bad is like that, and Jesus would question that like he did with many things the so called "wise" religion leaders did back in time.
Same is about women are not allowed to do that and that, check your bible again what positions women had and also if only certain people or men got gifts/charisma/talents of the holy spirit.

I love that god made us all different and I like that he made a big varity of styles, actions and things we can use to worship, to life and to celebrate.
