what a smart puppy! we live in Louisiana and the hurricane knocked down tons of trees and fences in the area. we have a hideous temporary fence. Scooby (he's one yr) just realized he can jump over the damn thing. He's thrilled. Of course this makes keeping up with him new meaning. We have two wheaten too. It can get crazy, but we wouldnt have it any other way :) Thanks for sharing
all i'm saying is that that poor animal is crying and upset. no one appears to have been with him and any experience should be a learning one for a puppy, every type of opportunity like this one should be monitored and used to teach the pup. if they weren't home and trying to determine if the puppy was getting out thats different. however, to each his own. I wouldn't mind seeing some postings of this same puppy at 5 months check out my soft coated wheaten Cooper if you get a chance
All due respect, it's clear you let this pup go on for some time, if you wanted him to go back to sleep, he needed abit of comfort, if you were trying to train him to climb, you should have been there to encourage him/her.
I give the pup lots of credit for eventually getting out, seems the effort was counter productive, not something he/she would remember as a positive event.
Krookcatcher, This camera looks like it was set up on a stand rather than someone holding it. The fact that the clips are broken in pieces makes me believe that this person wasn't intending anything you said. it looks like the owner wanted to see how the dog kept getting out and set this up to find out. It's pretty cute and i understand completly why they posted it, it's just too funny. wise dog!
I too kept him gated in the kitchen for the first year or so of his life and now he has full run of the house. He keeps busy running window to window when the any delivery truck goes by or the squirrels out front tease him.
she could seriously hurt herself! I have a baby boy wheaten terrier but the boys are more behaved. More questions about wheaten terriers? We have had 6, so ask me anything!!
yea make sure she has alot of toys and bones. read the labels b4 giving her the toys ome say uneatable. that means if she swallows it it will not be good. so supervise her if u do get one of those toys. so just train her when she nips flick her nose lightly and say no biting. within a month or so she will no longer do it.

Oh my goodness. Do you have a crate for her? She could really hurt herself this way.

We do not believe in crates! And believe me we don't use gates any more either. She is free to roam the home with her brother.
