I think it is hard for Tyra's contestants to book jobs. The agents don't want models that have been on a reality show- people know their faces & when it comes to modeling for Ads, that will detract customers from the product itself. There is just too much baggage. I'm sorry but if I was a casting agent, I know I would not choose these models.

I agree with what you're saying. There are alot of young girls who look up to Tyra Banks as an icon or a hero when there isn't much credit to give her. A modeling competition in the form of a reality TV show doesn't help one book jobs unless an agency is daring enough to take that chance. After a cycle ends, a couple or a few choose to pursue modeling but do alot of low-paying commercial jobs for a few years till an European agency comes knocking at their door.

In my opinion, Karl Lagerfield has been designing for two decades or more for the House of Chanel. He's now the head designer and if you are that level, your opinion on fashion matters alot.

Chanel is one of the grand haute couture houses in Europe. Most models dream about modeling for couture designers and Chanel, Versace, Gucci, YSL, etc. are among many of the haute couture houses. Even Issey Miyake and Yohji Yamamoto of Japan are haute couture designers.
