it seems as though people are hating this just because the bee died and he didnt help it. WELL GUESS WHAT HE COULDNT DO ANY THING! NOT JUST THAT, IT WAS ITS PREY BEES STING WASP STING! THERE THE SAME! THEY BOTH NEED TO LIVE! THE BEE DIED IN THIS CASE! SO WHAT MANY BEES WILL COME, THAT WASP WOULD HAVE STARVED. ITS NO DIDDRENT THEN THE REASON WE EAT CATTLE OR PIG OR EVEN CHIKEN! gosh. -_-
Sounds like a gardeners approach. In fact the honeybee is a domestic animal and the bee wolf can be a serious threat to bee keepers. Thing is that they need to be able to dig their burrows in warm sand, and that envrionment is kind of scarce in our country. I don't know if beekeepers do something about the wasp in other countries, but I think the bee wolf is perceived as a minor problem for bee keepers in general.
@AlvaroArmando The bee killing wasps needs bees also to eat the honey and feed the body to its larvae. They were together on this planet for a very long time, so dont worry about the bees needing us.
oooo that explains alot! I once saw a wasp and bee having a scrap on the floor, and after they were done the bees stomach was flat like it had been squashed. I always wondered why that was...
I witnessed this in my garden today :(

The bee was paralyzed already, from the poison injected by the wasp. No hope for the bee.

Nope, it is pushing the honey out of the bees stomach with its abdomen to feed itself.
You can see the honey between the heads of the insects. The bee is already paralyzed and will serve as food for the larva.
