what screen recorder are you using? Also when I open BF2 editor and click on BF2 it says some bullshit thing like you do not have direct X 9.0c or later to be able to run BF2, when I have a later version of Direct X and BF2 works no probs on my PC. It is F*CKING annoying

@Hint3788 I can help you. I thought the same way, but I know how to do the trick. When downloaded Map Editor, press right mouseclick and go to compatibility (down). Then, Press Right mouse click on Map editor and click on 'run in administrator mode'. It worked for me.

@pigfarts992 I know how to get around that. Download BF2 Map Editor to Desktop. right mouse click 'set on compatibility mode' . Now right mouse clock on the icon and ' run in administrator mode '. That should do the trick.

Go to the wizard window on the right and press 'Select Lowdetail' . Choose the only existing texture. Press 'Generate LowDetail' . Save your map using Ctrl-S or the 'Save' entry. Never 'Save All' !

1 ) had 2 copy water folder + water.con from another map (i used the ones from the map catbox fixed for me-cheers mate )

2 ) made very sure not to activate any heightmaps (didnt even click on it + had 2 cancel )

3 ) made sure to generate the lowdetailtexture (does it matter at what point i generate it - i did it soon after fiddling with terrain for the 1st time)reply on that question was : do it after youre done painting your textures

@ciastkoibeza when he says the L3DT part, put the altitude at sea level and leave everything else alone... that will make it so u can have ocean like on wake island, etc., and still be able to make the land higher with the land modifier thing!!! :)

I got the same problem, but the only thing you need to do is on the .exe file that starts the editor you right klick and checks the windows xp box in compabilty tag. :)
