The engine was updated in 1996, completely rebuilt in 2003 and completely rebuilt again in 2008.

All three of which Lambo had no part of. Look it up.

In my opinion, there's nothing American about a v-10. I prefer a v8! The viper doesn't do anything that a smaller v8 cant! Just comparing the viper's huge 8.4 liter v10 to a lamborghini's smaller in size 5.2 v10 that pushes in the high 500's horsepower should have a lot more than 600 horsepower! Plus if you notice, any noob that thinks they know their shit about cars is always beatin off to the the VIPER!!!! It kind of ruins them for me.

SRT has run 74 and 75 mph 700 foot slalom speeds! I dont think there is another production car that matches that. Latteral grip is at the top of the scale as well. Its actually lighter then many of its competitors and had the ring record. Anyonewho thinks this car is not a handling machine is simply an idiot. They should not be commenting on cars but they should continue reading. Perhaps they will learn something.

A Viper is really just a car that's made to run. I mean, it's looks to me are as good as many exotic supercars, it really stands out, kinda like when a ferrari comes down the road. It also performs really awesome, the bad thing is that it rides bad and has none of the electronic stuff, but the Viper buyer doesn't care about that stuff anyways. I'll tell you that for a front engined car it has good balance, i think it has over 50% of its weight on the rear compared to other front engine cars

Actually car and driver had this srt10 coupe beating the c6z06 around VIR, one of the worlds most respected circuits because it combines almost every type of turn with elevation changes going into and out of the corners.

It is well documented the srt10 coupe can hang with a c6z06 around many tracks and beat it around some.

I agree with you, It seems that there is alot of false information being passed around about the viper's handling. I think what happened is that people use handling to describe the ride quality, since the viper rides rough, the say it handles bad, when in reality it has a better weight balance than the vette and handles better, just a fact the acr missed some shifts at the ring and still demolished the ZR1, the zr1 had 40 more hp as well
