Even my BB 9780 is having the same problem. So while typing it keeps on going up distorting the earlier line or to the earlier part of the chat. Two keys ( K,D) needs more effort to be pressed at times. Can u tell me how to fix the key pad problem and weather changing the track pad will solve the earlier problem.
2: remove the battery and press the scrol pad 5 times and open you phone Theres a third way ask if those didnt work it works really! but there just temporary u need to go to a shop and get it fixed its kindaa the only way make sure u save everything on ur phone else where in case its erased from the phone whilst being fixed
I have got the same phone and the same problem, these ways are temporary but there good 1: remove the bettery and place a peace of cardboard/tissue between the battery and metal plate

And clean al the dust under your blackberry keyboard.
and make shure it's all clean then put everything back together,

2: shift (on right side of keyboard below $ button)
3: delete
it will reboot itself and keyboard light should be back on.

TRY THIS:
1. Remove your battery.
2. Place a peace of cardboard between the battery and metal plate.
3. Replace your battery.
4. Try it again.
Hope it works on your Blackberry too. ^__^
