Essa minissérie é demais!, infelizmente anos a frente, muita coisa aconteceu, com esses magnificos atores, meu querido fabio, lamentavelmente caiu nos braços das drogas(mas creio q esta saindo) Ana Paula Arosio...sempre envolta a fofocas e a grande atriz, nao tao famosa quanto a seus companheiros...mas tao boa ou ate melhor que eles, simone spo...esqueci...desapareceu da tv., espero que todo aquele talento, nao esteja sendo disperdiçado.

Its based on a book written by Eca de Queiroz, they are brothers. Their mother cheated on her father and run away with her, they grew appart. Besides that, she was a prostitute, and he didnt know that till after he felt in love. When her husband/lover comes back from his trip he tells Carlos (the protagonist) the truth, but he forgives her, and wants to marry her. Yet he still doesnt know the reason why she had to be a prostitute, and his sister: their mother running away with a lover.
