  • If you get so much heat from people defending Ron Paul why do people say he is unelectable?

  • The disturbing reality, Carrie, is that in a one person one vote democracy, where votes are bought by funding public spending by debt and a critical mass of voters live on benefits....you have a recipe for inevitable catastrophe.

I hope you do not follow us in Europe, here n Britain there are so many people WITH VOTES who live on benefits, its impossible for a political party to stand up for sound finance

the borrower becomes the lender's slave. It can't go on, but how can we stop it?

  • the two reasons i do not lik the electric car is one it looks like it belongs in a matchbox case.lol. the other is everytime you have to recharge the car i think that would drive your electric bill threw the roof.

  • Are you kidding--the political process is a totally FAKE distraction. Sadly we are post democratic! Elites, international banksters, their massive foundations and NGOs make and enforce policy world wide through the UN via international agreements that are not debated or voted on by anyone. GATT, Agenda 21, UNESCO, the WTO--these UN bodies make binding rules for the world! Better learn about the Fabian society and the CFR.

  • I got a good joke What's the difference between Debbie Wassermann Schultz and Joseph Goebbels? Lipstick

  • By 2020 60 to 70 % of people will be on federal health care plans the rest will be on private health care plans. You do not hear any business's complaining about it, walmart, target, GE, ford, GM, chrysler, and all other's are for Obama care. So they can drop their employee health care plan's because they can no longer afford to pay the premium's, its too expensive. people will have to buy government health on there own. Food stamps go right back into the economy when spent, that's a good thing!

  • ok, obama is an arrogant ass.as for the cars they are frikin EXPENSIVE.I don't even buy new cars. And sorry for going off on the Pelosi thing. just CANNOT stand that woman.Cheers!

  • @ilovety65 lol - yes, Obama is an arrogant ass! yes, those cars are too expensive! No problem about Pelosi, you weren't the only one. I just didn't explain the joke very well.

    *Cheers*

  • @Carrie3570 I think Pelosi has a picture of Newt dressed up in a baby's bonnet with a pacifier in his mouth and a diaper on, flinging porridge at Nancy who was dressed up as a dominatrix, carrying her whip from 2001 when she was the Minority whip in House of Representatives.

I read it in the National Enquirer, so it must be true, right?

  • @MrWhitey101 hahaha!! Sounds accurate to me. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised to see that picture. That is sad. lol

  • @Carrie3570 I'm glad, as a Ron Paul supporter, that some of the other Ron Paul supporters toned down their rhetoric. I was embarrassed at the way they were talking to you on some of your videos last month, & made that clear to them in some direct e-mails and some comment responses. Most of the ones I spoke to were college aged kids who think that they know everything, and I was more than a little ticked off at how disrespectful and juvenile they were. We're all not rude imbeciles, I promise! lol

  • @MrWhitey101 I know, lol. I was just getting so many at that time I was getting a little irked, to say the least. It has gotten much better, thanks for speaking to the ones who were outta line. I get when people are upset they say things they don't mean, but it was getting outta control!

  • @Carrie3570 One thought on the "Food Stamp" president comment; Bush increased food stamp recipients by 14.4 million when he was president. Obama increased them by 14.2 million. And while Bush's term was longer, the number of people on food stamps actually DECREASED by 46, 528 in the last fiscal quarter.

Also, the economic downturn began in December of 2007. Bush added 4.4 MILLION people in his final year in office. The downturn continued into Obama's term. The label is inaccurate.

  • @Carrie3570 Just like when people say that oil was only 30 a barrel when Obama took office. It was at it's peak the final summer of Bush's presidency at about 150 a barrell. Then Obama took a double digit lead in the polls, and speculators dumped oil for gold, driving the price down.

The truth is gas is still too high, but it's misleading to use the price from January of 09, as anyone in the financial sector can explain why. It had ZERO to do with Bush.

  • I thought Dems said government assistance and unemployment benefits stimulated the economy... ha ha.

I would not buy an electric car because they don't do what normal cars do range wise and the batteries are very expensive to repair and replace. Also, anyone who thinks that millions of electric cars wouldn't make electricity prices go up well beyond the current cost of gas and electricity combined is either not thinking or just flat out dreaming.

  • Ron Paul did great in the debate and truly is the real conservative!

  • there is no need in food stamps,if you notice anyone on food stamps ,they still have a cell phone, well thats 1200 a year they are spending for a phone, well by golly, thats the amount you eat a year,so people have given up the right to eat,for the right to have a worthless phone.

electric cars are only stupid because to run them you need nuclear power, and thats crap aint safe.people could buy solar, but people dont really care.they just act like they do.

  • @imatelly Except here, in the great state of Tennessee, if you go to the welfare office and qualify - they give you a free cell phone with minutes! Isn't that spiffy!!

  • @Carrie3570 I agree that THAT is annoying. Maybe 25% of the people who participate in the free phone program actually need it. The other 75% are people who can pay for their own. It's definitely an area where the government is wasting money.

The problem is that this began under the Bush administration, although the program has grown under the Obama administration.

The program has grown too big.

  • @MrWhitey101 Honestly, I do not understand why anyone needs a free cell phone. I can handle the government paying a home phone line that works to call 911, but not cell phones. I don't understand why everyone needs to be talking in public. My husband does have one, but it's a business phone so when he's on the job he can use it for work. I guess I'm old fashioned.

  • Yes, these utopian RETARDS always overestimate their grandiose schemes!!!

P.S. It was NOT you! I believe most of us have a SERIOUS HATRED for Nancy Pelosi. Without that ***** or individual, OBAMACARE would have “NEVER” been passed...

  • Electric cars are a ridiculous Joke. I said it 5 years ago. They are only a ruse to make it look like something is being done. Same as High speed rail. He said move forward with it to make him look good with no intention to pursue it. We don't even have a "Rail" transportation system. Witch would be just fine. Obama and all the other ptb use the cost and lack of technology to give them an out but yet make lofty statements to do so.

  • @Iwillbedurnd "make lofty statements" - that's a nice way of saying it! lol

  • Because Nancy Pelosi knows that Newt is actually Keyser Soze!

  • @mmmmmnnnnn55555 WOW!!! Nice one! ~ Take a bow, you deserve it!

  • I think it was Margaret Thatcher that said "The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money" (to spend). We have now gone way past that point.

  • @blewbyeu I agree.

  • You need to add all those foodstamps and such to the corporate welfare thing. All they are doing is letting businesses pay less to their employees. We aren't getting food stamps they are. You need to look at the reality of it.

  • That's why it can't continue, you can't keep giving welfare programs and not raise taxes. The system has to change to no more welfare programs period. Make people dependent upon the government and most people will gladly wear the shackles to keep the status quo. I would rather be free with all the risk than to have someone dictate to me what I can do.

The power grid is old. Can it really handle the increase in demand with electric cars? Seems backwards to me. Back to horses that's green..lol.

  • @MrsNewAmericaNow I agree. From what I hear, people used to feel ashamed to use food stamps or be on welfare. Now it just isn't that way. Even public schools promote getting on food stamps through the free lunch program. That could be why so many people are on them.

  • @Carrie3570 I think so many people are on welfare is because our government has done a great job at killing jobs here. I love it when Obama says they want to make a jobs bill but then turns around and wants to put gun makers and ammo makers out of business. What a dumb-ass he really is! Government has to shrink and let the private sector grow. Every time government takes over something it falls apart or increases the price and we pay more in taxes. The gov is out of control!

  • @MrsNewAmericaNow You're absolutely right!

  • You have to burn coal to power the electric car lol.

  • I'm feeling sick....why did my Grandfather fight in WWII for this stupid ass nation! I'm sure had someone told them there going to go fight and die for a nation that would give it all away in the near future they would have said to hell with you and would have came home.

  • @MrREAPER2014 Well I hope they wouldn't have come home. What was happening in Germany was pure evil and had to be stopped.

  • @Carrie3570 Yeah we would have all been speaking German or killed but who cares today...people need to wake up and understand what it took for us to be here.

  • The only people I personally have ever known who have bought electric cars are well to do eccentric types who bought them more as toys than as practical transportation. Someday I think we may have electric cars powered by batteries recharged with solar power. But I don't think the technology is sufficiently developed to attract buyers. We'll know when it has when companies are massing producing them without gov subsidies and when average people are willing to actually pay money for them.

  • @curlybobz Yeah. I could see maybe an electric golf cart if I lived on a golf course. That would be nice.

  • I think they disregarded studies that were "disappointing" in their projections of sales volume of electric vehicles. President Obama said no to the pipeline. That shows he is more favorable to the green industries. He made loans to green industry. He just wanted a farytale land of electric vehicles, blue skies and didn't care how he got it. I think big city driving would be the only senerio that would benefit from electric cars.

  • @suncountryairline Yes, and people don't just live in big cities.
