Food stamps go right back into the economy when spent, that's a good thing!

He said move forward with it to make him look good with no intention to pursue it. We don't even have a "Rail" transportation system. Witch would be just fine. The only people I personally have ever known who have bought electric cars are well to do eccentric types who bought them more as toys than as practical transportation. Someday I think we may have electric cars powered by batteries recharged with solar power. But I don't think the technology is sufficiently developed to attract buyers. We'll know when it has when companies are massing producing them without gov subsidies and when average people are willing to actually pay money for them.
I think they disregarded studies that were "disappointing" in their projections of sales volume of electric vehicles. President Obama said no to the pipeline. That shows he is more favorable to the green industries. He made loans to green industry. He just wanted a farytale land of electric vehicles, blue skies and didn't care how he got it. I think big city driving would be the only senerio that would benefit from electric cars.

Someday I think we may have electric cars powered by batteries recharged with solar power. But I don't think the technology is sufficiently developed to attract buyers.
