I love Zeppelin and all, but Nirvana is a completely different animal. I couldn't say who is a better drummer because they're both phenomenal but Nirvana had a much bigger impact on the world than Led Zeppelin did. That's not an opinion, it's a fact.

Nirvana's success suddenly makes more sense when you think about them having two great songwriters in Grohl and Cobain. You think it was a coincidence Nirvana happened to get big after Dave joined? Dave's signature drumming is what put them over the top.

Leaps and bounds over Cobain. Guitar playing, bass, drums obviously, and even singing. Dave has range. His musical palette is much much more diverse than Cobain. Cobain would have never done Probot or sang with Norah Jones, woudl he? I rest my case. Dave Grohl = Legend.
