  • Only thing you have to remember is to make sure you take the battery out of the unit. If you live near military or any installation using strong RF signals it will sometimes respond to stray signals. This is common with must RF toys. I had a toy car once that would lurch forward about a half inch every night the same time and found out it was an automated test freq at an Army base setting it off. I love RF toys!!!!!

  • Interesting! .... Thanks for you input & comment :D

  • woa looks cool!

  • I just got mine last night from Walmart! They're on sale for $25 if anyone's interested, and they're TOTALLY worth it! I had to change mine 3 times though, as bad luck would have it, I ended up with three factory duds before I got one that works! I had wanted a green one like yours, but all the green ones they had were faulty, so I settled with a blue one. They're pretty awesome! ^_^

  • Sorry to hear you had a few problems with you first few. That's the 1st. time I have heard of anyone getting faulty one's.

Glad to hear you are enjoying yours. I thought they were totally worth the $69 I paid when I purchased mine. At $25 it's a STEAL!

  • :(

I'm not blonde;) but I have one for two days and still cannot keep it airborne for longer that 3 seconds indoors.

I won't ever try flying it in the garden!

  • It's all in the throttle control.

BTW flying outdoors is much easier as long as there is no wind.

I've never mastered flying indoors as I just don't have the space.

  • Beautiful! How long did you practice?

  • Not long, about 10 to 15 minutes.

Paid $69 for mine however you can get them for around $20 these days.

  • i saw one of these for sale at walgreens for 10 bucks bout 2 days ago

  • you should have bought it :)

  • How many channels do they have, that's awesome.

  • They come with 2 channel options and a choice of 3 colors

  • Awesome, I might get one. I'd have fun bothering the ice fishermen :D

  • hey how high can they get up to can they breake if you turn off the power up high

am going to charge mine great flying!!!

  • You can fly as high as the transmitter will allow, which is around 60 to 80 feet or so.

The dragonfly will easily survive a fall from 80 feet. They are very tough. That been said, I have broken the neck a few times, but it's very easy to fix with a little glue :)

  • dude you are the reason y im buyin one when i get mine maybe u can gimme some tips, by the way your bug has cool color... how much it lasts flyin fully charged?

  • :D

I'll be glad to help. A fully charged battery usually lasts between 5 and 7 minutes, it all depends how you manage your throttle (power), Also if you fly without the tail, you will get longer flight times.

  • and how much it takes charging?

  • about 15 minutes :)

  • Great video and great paint job on the dragonfly. I gifted myself one for Christmas, $ 29 with a one year warranty :-). Its got stuck in trees got banged up real bad but it still holds up...its amazing! What did you use for the color ...paint brush, sketch pen?

  • Hey there. Great that yuu too picked up one and at a much better price too. GREAT DEAL!

I colored mine with permanent markers :)

    Thanks for your great comment.

  • Thank you! I am going to give my dragonfly some color too. I am sensing a Dragonfly revolution :-)

  • "grin" ... Have fun :D

  • plese help and i charge it for like when the eyes stop pleanking then in 4 min its runing low please tell me wuts wrong

  • You should get about 7 minutes of continual flying on a fully charged battery. If you are only getting 4 minutes, you are using too much throttle.

Take your time and be gentle with the controls and you will be flying like a pro. GOOD LUCK!

  • mine wont work it will go in the air and go down really fast it will stay up in the air for 5 secons the go down i want to sell it because i wont work like yours

  • It takes a bit of getting used to but you WILL get the hang of it. It's all about throttle control. Be gentle with the throttle control and you will soon be flying like a pro.

    GOOD LUCK!

  • talk big about something that someone else built

  • And why not? , it's a great toy after all and lots of fun.

The kids who designed it are brilliant IMHO :)

  • really nice! i got one!!

but learning yet, it always goes down, dont stay flying i think its the very low wind! will try on a closed space! and very nice drivin uh? grats! you are flying good!

  • Thanks and you will soon get the hang of it and have lots of fun in the process.

They have come down a lot in price and I've seen them as low as $29

  • One of the most innovative RC devices yet...I just purchased one for each of my nephews for Chrismas 2007 ($25 each @ Walmart). I bought them in two different radio frequencies so that they can fly them together...Great video demo and there's probably no more fitting soundtrack than the one you used...Great Job, and thanks for posting.

  • Gad you liked. Thanks for your great response.

Yes these are great innovative RC devices, believe it or not, designed by a young school kid :)

Your nephews will have lots of fun with them.

    Thanks again.

  • Amazing!!! The kid must be a natural born Genius...Now he's going to be a "RICH" natural born Genius. By the way...Great Paint Job...I love it!!!

  • Thanks, and thanks again :)

I'm definitely going to get myself another one.

  • this is very cool. nice video.. the music made me laugh.

  • Thanks! :)

  • christopher plz stop posting that on every single video!!!!

  • these are so cool, i got mine really cheap from barrett-electronics. co . uk

  • Yes are cool and worth every penny too :)

Have fun with yours and thanks for your comment.

  • cool flying, im still trying to get the basics down so i can fly it outside (i live in the uk, so we always have wind) just got mine today infact, been flying it nonstop for about 3 hours. its bugging me, whats this song?

  • Thanks :)

Don't worry you WILL soon get the hang of it.

You will notice it flies better when its turning slightly.

It's all bout throttle control to eliminate the oscillating motion.

It is also more stable with the tail attached. Once you get used to the "bug" you can remove the tail and it will be more responsive.

The song BTW is "I can't stand to fly" by The Foo Fighters.

Thanks for your kind comment and rating.

  • well tonights the night im hoping to take it out on the park (i need to be carfull, it tends to be dog central and they all come to me becouse they know there gonna get a treat) i think iv got the hand of it with the tail, its saprising how hard it is without it.

  • Good luck at the park.

Yeah!, I would stay far away from any dogs, as your dragonfly will be toast 4 sure! You will be surprised at hoe easy it is to fly without the tail once you get the hang of it.

Without the tail, the dragonfly is more responsive in turns and acceleration.

Thanks once again for your comment and HAPPY FLYING :)

  • About the dog, I saw a video a minute ago with a guy who had his dog abuse this thing and it still flew after lol. I'm soo getting one today, just saw they have them on sale right now at Radioshack.

  • You won't regret it. GREAT BUY !

Enjoy and thanks for taking the time to comment.

  • looks like fun. would be hard to fly though (kinda like a heli i would imagine?)

  • Actually it's a lot easier than flying a heli. After a couple of hours at the comtrols anyone should be able to master it with little problem.

Definitely worth the $49 USD spent.

Thanks for your comment and response.

  • Hi, This is DEFINITELY NOT CRAP. Please do yourself a favor and look online for reviews and you will see for yourself. Although this is classified as a toy, RC magazine dedicated to radio control hobby gave this product rave reviews.

Your brother will be jealous and wanting one of his own when you get yours.

be myh guest, ask anyone who owns one.

Good Luck and have lots of fun.

It Took me about a full day to get used to flying it, but once I did, I had it under full control.

  • hi my bro said this is crap but i dont think it is and i was wondering should i get it or not

  • Thanks yes it is! Saw it on Youtube and decided to order one ($60 CAD) and I'm having lots of fun with it.

  • Cool looking little thing ;-)
