as much as i do not condone this did you try taking a handfullo of pennies in a cup infront of the throtle body? without the filter hose or anything? cuz that goes right to the motor and your gonna more hen likely float a valve and the vale will make contact with the piston thus blowing the engine if you do it right the piston will more then likely break into a bunc hof pieces

That's true. I think Honda and Toyota are about the same though, and that jon mobile video backs it up, as does a few others. These engines would probably last just as long without oil, the problem is they're almost constantly running them at high RPMs with the intent to kill the engine, where you were just trying to get home, and running at lower RPMs. 3 hours is still great though!

Yeah, they are redlining!! Regarding my adventure, truth be told, the V8 siezed 3 times on the way home, each time it over heated and blew all the coolant(water on the 2nd and 3rd times). I drove it for 3 hours but spend an hour each time it siezed to let it cool off before putting in water that might have cracked the block. In total, a 2 hour trip took 6 hours. I was driving it at 80km/hr and 60km up hill... the piston was hitting the head so hard! Sounded like a bag of loose bolts!

It had oil but no oil pressure. Only the first main journal was receiving oil, the next connecting rod journal had spinned the bearing and had 1/4 inch grinded away by the end of the trip. The remaining 4 main journal and 3 rod journals recieved no oil pressure. The first two pistons were slapping against the head with the extra 1/4 inch slack. They were not damaged, nor was the head or valves. The spec for this engine is .003" max not .250" Anyway, GM doesn't build them like that anymore.

Yeah, my friend had an 1980's Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham (as did my grandparents at one point) that was similar. Quite a big, long car, but it had soft leather seats inside. You could definitely hear that 5L (305) V8 though! The S2000 is indeed a cool car though, that's one of the highest-revving engines in a stock car.
