Because, I'm pretty sure that if a kid around the age of ten, nine, eight, or seven (heck, even six!) would be able to understand what was going on. this film was terrible, the first two were great and kept you guessing, this one was rushed to get money as fast as possible. There are so many plot holes and unexplained events. I didn't get why Will didn't even get affected by the curse of Davy's ship, well probably because he's the good guy and that automatically he recieves the best outcome and will never lose

Perhaps it is a mental mark, maybe an increased hatred of piracy or something along those lines. Also maybe she brought Barbossa back because she knew he would be of some use. Love him, or hate him, Barbossa is with out a doubt one of the greatest pirates.

I loved the film SOOO much, there was only one negative though. I didn't like the idea of meeting Jack Sparrow's dad (and mum). I mean I loved the character captain Teague I think they should keep him in it just not of made him Jack Sparrow's father, because Jack Sparrow's meant to be a mysterious man who we're not meant to know much about, and seeing his parents kinda ruined it for me a bit, but I don't care too much! I loved the film SOO much, and your review was awesome :)

I disagree with you.

There was extreme over acting in this movie, especially by depp, Rush, and Nighy because its like they don't take their roles seriously. The whole thing with the multiple jacks was neat, but I thought it was too silly for screen, especially in davey jones's locker.

I was also upset the way they treated Norrington. He barely appears in the movie, and he gets killed off.

By the way, about your question about why Calypso brought Barbossa back to life. Calypso needed all the pirate lords to assemble the brethren court, so they could release her from her human bonds. Calypso resurrected Barbossa and tricked him to retrieve Jack Sparrow from Davy Jone's Locker and summon a meeting of the Brethren.

I completely agree with this review. Especially the part about the movie not being that long. This film did have everything in it that it needed. I love the Harry Potter movies but sometimes they leave out a little too much. This film is long because it needed to be. Anyway, good review.

Terrific revue of this film!! It is very complicated but if you go on line to myspace and look up the different POTC profiles they really clear up and make the film flow. I saw this 3 times and each time I got more out of it. The maelstrom scene in the end is absolutely awsome!! The music in this film is absolutely incrdible!! There is also a scene at the end where Orlando Bloom is so hot my girlfriend and I gasped at his transformation! Of course, Johnny Depp is unbelieveable.

I think that Jack didn't literally leave a mark on Beckett, but I researched that Jack used to work for Beckett. During this, Jack was ordered to bring slaves to Beckett. Instead, Jack set the slaves free. Beckett then named Jack a pirate and burned down his ship, the Whicked Wench. Jack then went to Davy Jones and asked him to raise his ship from the deapths of the sea. Jack then painted it and renamed it the Black Pearl.

Well the only plot hole I ran across into was the mark on Beckett, but that can't be filled in if he is dead. Also in the books, it sais Jack used to work for Beckett and the Company, but when he was ordered to ship slaves across the sea he denied it and freed them. That's when he was branded a pirate and had his ship sunk. And that's also when he made the deal with Jones. I just don't know what mark he left on Beckett! And a pirates 4 is looking to be expected most likely.

lol No, it's been known about the mark on Sparrow. It's a P on his arm for PIRATE. We knew this in Dead Man's Chest, but what we didn't know was the mark Sparrow left on Beckett. The film showed no mark on Beckett at all.

lmao nah, it's the same actor who portrays will's and elizabeth's kid after the credits. it's the same actor not the same charecter. and he sings Hoist The Colours becuase that signifies that the Brethern Court should be summoned. this is one really good review of this movie and i totally agree with you about it being confusing because when i saw the opening screening and it was kinda confusing but the screeen was small and the sound was really low. but when i saw it the second time with a big screen and best sound system i followed along. i agree with you with everything you have said.

Great review! I saw it the other day, and you're right, it is complicated, but it was still so much better than the second film. (I wasn't a huge fan of DMC) It was a bit long because some of the fighting scenes were too long, but I really liked this film.

Thanks! Sicne Elizabeth waited 10 years for Will (after the credits you see) she kept her promise which breaks Will free from the curse to the Dutchman is what I have been hearing. Because remember when Jones' 10th year came Calypso didn't wait for him which angered him and sparked it all and it lead to his transformation to Captain of the Dutchman.

Lol you go to keepvid and you will need a program called SUPER. You go to keepvid paste the URL there, and they will give you a download link. You save it as w.e. you want to call it, but make sure you put .flv at the end. Then you drag that file into SUPER and hit the encode button so it will be a video that you can put into Windows Media movie Maker.

Plus if they were to be in it it would be 10 years later, and Jack and Barbossa would look old lol. If they made a fourth about the Fountain of Youth then no Will and Lizzie can be in it. Also I don't think they will because Barbossa isn't really a villain, they would have to make a new one.

The Barbossa thing I understand now, she brought him back because hse needed to know whhat his peice of eight was, becasue remember the coins were decoys, the real ones were pieces of junk. And she needed him to get them to Davy Jones locker to get Jack's. She threw the sea into a whirlpool because she was neutral: she was mad at the pirates for putting her in human form, and mad at Jones for abandoning her and the souls.

LOL after the credits we see Will is free because Elizabeth waited those 10 years for him as she promised, but the problem with Jones was Calypso wasn't on shore after those ten years. Since Elizabeth kept her promise Will's is free from the curse is what I have been hearing.

Yeah, I mean this movie really really is a split decision. My friend loved the first, hated the second, but loved this one which suprised me. There's no real prediction on whether or not you will like this movie. These are just my opinions from seeing it, I had a good time and followed it pretty easy, but then again I am a Pirates fanatic and movie buff.

I don't think the Fountain of Youth makes you immortal because you stay young from it, but I don't think you can not die if someone stabs you you can probably die, but you can drin kand stay young.

Thanks! At the end of Dead Man's chest we saw the dog with the Cannibals sitting on the throne holding a bone with the crown on his head, meaning he is the new "Chief". Yeah the scar thing must have been some plot hole, it bugs me too. also I forgot to state the Pirate Lords needed a bigger role in the fight, but it was still an amazing movie.

I really don't want them to mess up the franchise, I could see why I would want it to stya a trilogy, but I can't get enough of Captain Jack so it's a hard question to answer. If they somehow made an amazing script then maybe, but I doubt it. I think it should stay a trilogy, but I do want more Capt. Jack AHHH idk! lol
