I was so sad to hear that he'd died. Really surprised that I didn't see it on brekkie news ... I only found out after watching re-run of Colditz and there was a few seconds at the end of the credits to tell me that he'd gone. :(
Elementary my dear Watson,Anybody can tell in which of the many stories about Sherlock Holmes this was actually said? I've read them all and I don't recall a single instance of having been said!!
what a gentleman Hardwicke is. and it is so lovely how he and David Burke traded hands, and I have to say that it is seamless for me!
the little slice of acting from JB at 3:02 is utter perfection - just watch his eyes during that moment - it's like an entire Oscar performance in a few seconds
@kmuffett right? coincidentally i just saw the hole episode before watching this video and i was so amazed with that particularly scene. There is so much emotion (which you hardly ever see on S.H.) in this expression which seems so little but means so much more

@musicologo1able It isn't actually said in the stories. Holmes says something close in one of the stories (I don't recall which).

Thank you for sharing this. Any idea on when it was filmed?

@Taur5684 The interview was released August 26, 2003. So I would imagine it was filmed sometime earlier that year.
