@pokeloveracjnjonas um, actually, the big LCD (so, yes, they'd be black) screens on the sides of the stage that you can't see here but in other videos simply meant to assist in showing Miku, not actually representing her - that's what the glass is for, unless they were referring to the earlier concert of the year, Mikupa, done by another company that DID have a big black box of an LCD screen REPRESENTING the Vocaloids, which got a lot of fans mad/disappointed.

I spend 3 day crying that I couldn't go because I wanted to go soo badly, for those 3 days I locked my self in my room, and for hours listening to her music.She was the only comforting thing (and the other vocaloids) that kept me safe in my room when my Parents fought and yelled alot.. That why I love her, me and my little sister would cry in our rooms when that was happening, then I would get up and play her cheerful music.. She also made my parents happy, but it never stoped them from divorce.

I noticed one little detail that's changed from the Japanese concert in World is Mine, when Miku counts, she holds up the number of fingers instead of just one finger. Ex: When she says sono-san, she holds up three fingers instead of one. :D

at least they brought the clear glass panel back instead of the big black cube on stage and the lighting isn't very good, at the concert in japan, she never went outta focus, vocalaid you guys can do better than that for american concerts, the sound is great but the visual expect of it, isn't up to par, compared to japans shows

This seems cheap in terms of quality.... compared to japan's shows, I know it's just anime expo but... I mean come on Miku was half way off of the screen at times... and there's practically no lights around her.

@CraziiDago Actually, as far as I know, someone who had seen both the Japanese Show (two year ago) and this one said this was much better with their graphics and set up. And when she goes to the sides she disappears because there's a screen on the side for the side viewers who can't see her at all unless she's directly in front of them (I was on the side lol) so you literally can't see her unless she's facing you.

@pokeloveracjnjonas yeah, :) what it is is there are panels on the sides of the forward facing screen that are tilted either left or right so the people, on the far left or far right of the theater since it's in a half circle shape, can see Miku too...for about a total of 30 sec over the entire concert, cause like I said unless it (the screen) is facing you, you can't see her at all. :( The Japanese show didn't have this, which is why she never disappeared in that one.

@reicheruchan13 actually, in the Japanese show in 2010, they used the same technology, so she did disappear: "with only two projectors both in the middle, if the projector light is not directly hitting you, you won't be able to see it nearly as clear/bright/vivid as if it were.The reason why it doesn't seem like that in the official/Japanese videos is because the camera follows the light path.If Miku was on the left and the camera was on the right, Miku'd be faded."

@pccontroller The projectors themselves don't move, the path of the light is staying the same - the issue is the angle the coating on the screen diffuses the light at - the diffusion is clearest if you are looking at it through a straight line to the projector for any given portion of the surface. Although the technology is not 100% the same, the American concert used new theatre resolution projectors - it *is* possible that they aren't shining quite as brightly!

@TheMacroBlock That's what I was saying...=-=* I also didn't say that the projectors were moving; I said the camera was moving and Miku was "moving". True that the technology isn't 100% same, but I was talking generally- good theory...THANKS for being one of the few people who understand projection technology :D I kind of wonder why SEGA (who does the graphics &the stage design) hasn't opted to (maybe money issues) add more projectors at varying angles so that more people can be in those lines

@reicheruchan13 the real issue is the size of the venue the Japanese venue was a lot narrower - SEGA is using a special coated glass panel that difuses light that hits the surface - however Gorillaz use a different technology that uses CCDs inside the glass to detect the areas that are hit by the projector and turns them from clear to white in real time - it might provide a wider angle - but of course its very expensive :(
