  • the USN Admiralty's so-called diversity decisions are racist and disgusting! Selecting personnel based on skin-color or sex is RACIST and wrong---plain and simple! In an attempt to restore honor to both themselves and their Service Branch. The collectvie Admiralty should hang themselves for betraying all the hard-working, results-driven achievers who are discriminated against in favor of diverse persons.

  • good. my dad was admiral winns flag writer when he was stationed in Hawaii. Go navy!

  • no asians

  • Who gives a shit about diversity. Show me the Navy that dominates the seas instead of the Navy that spends time concocting boo-hoo stories.

  • i think im gonna be an EOD officer HOO yah

  • i think im gonna be a EOD officer HOO yah

  • What the hell is this? A commercial for the US Navy? You know the difference between being in prison and being in the Navy? You have a greater chance of drowning in the Navy.

  • I am in search of lieutenant Laurent Perez !

    Can you help me ?

    herve.borg@bbox.fr

    Thank you

  • @Vevejean1 contact US Navy Personnel Command

  • I have been in the navy for 29 years seabee platune # 22 i am the rank of a vice admiral select trust me the best thing u will ever do :)

  • There is no such thing as racial quotas in the Navy. The racial make-up of the USN isn't all that different from American society at large.

  • I can't wait for bootcamp!!!! Hooyah!!!

  • USN, increasingly being destroyed, taken down to the lowest "common denominator" all because of ?*%$!@? "diversity", a cowardly euphemism for outright racism - quotas. Before I retired I saw individuals appropriated as XO's, even CO's and up to flag solely based on race, nothing else..., hop-scotching over non minorities who, as an example, went through "Severn U", did it right and then some with monumentally vastly greater capability and found themselves persona no grata by O-4 rank.

  • :D such inspirational people <3

  • Hmmm, being able to treat patients without wondering if they can afford the treatment you're giving . . . apparently some in the Navy like this idea.

  • One of the barrier's to race neutrality is the Diversity Industry and its Diversity Bully commissariat. These people, like Al Gore and his carbon offset business, have a paycheck involved in keeping division and sectarianism frothing. They feed it, they need it. Shame, mocking, facts, and constant challenges by those who want progress in race relations - to regression to the 70's will fix that.

  • I can't help being jealous of those Officers, I always dream being NAVY Lt.

  • (part 2 of 2)

Simple process really in a less than zero sum game. You starve one and feed the other. Equal treatment? Each taxpayer and Congressional district treated the same? Each potential Sailor valued the same?

From the 26-30 OCT report, we see that this isn't a value neutral drill. You have undue command influence to either cook your numbers or actively discriminate on the basis of race.

Why does the Dept of the Navy support overt racism?

  • (part 1 of 2)

From the 16-20NOV Chief of Naval Personnel (CNP) Report.

The 56% report rate for Alternative Scholarship Reservations (ASRs) is more than 10% above the CNSB rate. ASR diversity is 34% AA, 19% Hisp and 10% API.

Given YG13 statistics, current projections, diversity considerations and fiscal constraints, we intend to reduce overall CNSB NROTC offers for YG14 but will maintain HBCU (NB: Historically Black Colleges and Universities) and ASR at last year's level.

  • I use to always see admiral Aurthor (the African American aviator) in the barber shop....lol, He has to be the coolest Admiral ever. Because of him, I decided to apply to NROTC and I am starting next year spring

GO NAVY, I served enlisted for 2 years and I going to be NAVAL officer for the next 18.....HHOORRAAHH

  • I want a colorblind Navy. MLK was right and people need to judge on the basis of merit and content of character not national origin, color, birthday or any other way you can choose. Only one color in the Navy, Navy Blue. That being said I have served under great officers of all origins/colors whatever. Picking anyone on any other basis then merit cheapens the achievement and potentially puts someone in command who may not be as competent as someone not picked because of a bad policy.

  • Actually shipmate the colors are Blue and Gold!

  • Google: Bruce Fleming, Navy Academy Professor----he spoke out against the naval academny's racist admission policy. One for whites and one for non-whites.

  • I have one really big question, what is easier to get accepted, NROTC or OCS? i plan to join the USN as a surface warfare officer

  • go BDCP to OCS... had i known about BDCP i'd be rich by now! time in neither ROTC not the USNA count towards retirement while BDCP does! and you don't even do anything but go to school! no drilling, uniforms, nothing! and you get O-1E pay off the bat. insane!

  • OCS is easier to get accepted, but ROTC is a better way to go. Get your college paid for. I went OCS and I am having to pay my college loans still. But I love my job.

  • Congratulations from US Navy for permit the black peoples access a Admiral. I´m from Brazilian navy, a racist navy, because in my country there aren´t black peoples as an Admiral. Since slavery abolition, 1883th, the black peoples have been suffer a lot racism here in Brazilian navy. We living in bad conditions, we dont have suficient money to survive. Then, the Unites States Navy is an exemple of respect to all peoples. God bless US NAVY!!

  • Congratulations to Captain de La Rosa.

  • A vast majority of officers do not agree with the forced diversity prgms in USN. In the Fleet where Pentagon bureaucratic policies are felt, we don't care what color, gender, or race our wingman is, all we care about is that he is competent. The real tragedy of this forced diversity program is that it fosters an atmosphere where we start to immediately question the quals of black, hispanic, asian & other 'diverse' officers because we assume they are only there because a quota needed filling.

  • Amen

  • did he say he made cheif in a year and 2 months? or 9 years and 2 months...shit, there iz no way u can make chief in a year.

  • he said 9 years

  • This video is really terrible. The Navy should not be boasting their diversity like this. The Weapon's officer on my ship was black and packed the weapons office with nothing but black people. It was embarrassing. I was happy when he finally left, I have no respect for him. Reverse racism is racism. Thank god the New Haven fire fighters won that case. There should be no minority quotas for any organization.

  • I like "airplanes"

  • XIPM3... the navy has more planes than the air force

  • ADM Roghead please resign immediately!! Your tenure as CNO has and continues to be disgraceful. You are an embarassment to all commissioned Naval officers.

  • In June of 2009 came the stunning boast by ADMRoughhead that the USNA class of 2013 is the most diverse ever at 35% minority. ADM Roughead's immoral and illegal diversity policy is a two-track system: whites have to excel to get in, non-whites dont have to. Why does ADM Roughead think that lowering the bar for non-whites is acceptable? It's not. ADM Roughead's bigoted actions are disgraceful and he should retire as soon as possible. Don't let him ruin the the US Navy.

  • Thank you for agreeing I have so much more to say I just wish there was someone willing to listen who has the power to change things in the navy

  • HOOYAH CANT WAIT TO JOIN

  • @MrNavySailor im gonna get my commission from the Texas a&M Corps of cadets!

  • Today's Navy is being slowly decimated by social engineering. The Navy would rather select it's personnel based on race, creed & color than on performance & achievement. Hey Mullen & Roughead, you don't win wars by having a black, yellow, green or blue person on your team. You win because the best are being the best. If you don't believe me, look no further than this pirate fiasco. This admin & USN would rather walk the plank instead of pulling rank. Is this change we can believe in?

  • You are absolutely right.

  • We are selecting warfighters who will lead others in combat and operate highly demanding hardware that has little tolerance for poor performance. Poor performance and lack of attention to detail makes things go boom and crunch. Lower performance gets people killed and nation placed in peril. RDML Sharpe should be ashamed of himself. Just goes to show that someone will sell out his service and security of a nation for another star. Pathetic.

  • Why is RDML Clifford Sharpe is pushing a RESERVE OFFICERS TRAINING CORPS ALTERNATIVE SCHOLARSHIP RESERVATION PROCESS FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2009-2010. The goal here is based on race, creed, and national origin - the antithesis of a free and fair society - and the core of racism and bigotry.

  • performance and achievement trump quotas every time. Don't let diversity quotas create a mediocre navy.

  • Why did the Navy create a Black Engineer of the Year award? It is because ADM Mullen and ADM Roughead think that blacks can not compete the rest of the Navy? I don't know about anyone else but I find these segregated awards to be highly offensive and demeaning. The nerve of the Senior Navy leadership to think that Blacks can not compete against Asians, Latinos, Native Americans and European-Americans. Disgraceful.

  • you sir are disgraceful these men and women overcame great odds and these awards give minorities equality

  • I agree it is a disgrace. Diversity if making bigots out of us all. Anyone who thinks that a black person can not compete against a Chinese, Japanese, Hispanic or ango-Eurpopean, etc should be ashamed of themselves. The navy must cease this form of bigotry ASAP!

  • there are separate awards and associations all over for black people. NAACP? we even have black history month! do you see any NAAWP? no...because that would be racist. The navy is not the first organization to do this by far.

  • Who ordered either the CVN-72 Skipper or MCPO to discriminate on the basis of "...gender, race, age..." How, after so much blood and treasure and time has been expended in this great Republic to make all men free and equal - that it as become a legal order to discriminate on the basis of something so completely out of control of the individual in question as "...gender, race, age..."

Does it make you feel dirty? It does me.

  • email excerpt from CVN-72 to LCPOs looking for personnel to take part in a Time Magazine video. "..I have some names provided, and was going with a first-come, first-served roster. Can't do it. Need to screen for diversity."

Navy diversity policy - it makes bigots of us all - and orders good, solid Sailors to be bigots despite their natural tendency to be fair to their Shipmates.

  • Who cares their color

  • whats the highest rank you can get in the navy without being a pilot

  • O-4 Admiral

  • Sorry That's O-10 Admiral

  • there are no o-10, only in War there are fleet admirals, the last (5 star)fleet admiral was Chester Nimitz.

The highest you can get right now is 0-9

  • wrong.

    O1-O6 = ens-capt

    O7=radm(lower half)*

    O8=radm(upper half)**

    O9=vadm***

    O10=adm****

Nimitz was a (five star) fleet adm

  • lol right now the highest you can get right now is admiral, there is now fleet admiral today, look it up.

There is only a fleet admiral in times of war.

    You are wrong...biotch.

  • wrong again, you said that there are currently no O-10 admirals in the navy. fleet admiral is not an O-10. I never said that there is currently a five star.

  • Fleet admiral is like an 0-11, there are 0-10, O-10=ADM. There are no fleet admirals right now, but there are admirals. ADM are 4 star. Mistake for the typo, but i meant O-11. earlier.

  • An official war mandated by congress.... so technically no.

  • well....technically the marines at an average get sent to battle once a year off to some war that aint even ours....

eh... i guess the US loves war

  • You don't know what your talking about

  • Today (I-29-2009) would have been my grandfather's 97th birthday. He was a captain in the US Navy during WWII.

    Go Navy!

  • He said 9years and 2 months NOT 1 year and 2 months.

  • Where's the white men?

  • it took 1 year for chief and 20 years for captain lol damn

  • I'm Cadet Senior Chief Petty Officer

in Navy Junior Rotc and my naval Science instructor has been 22 years in the navy, and he is a chief petty officer

  • chief petty officer in 1 year?

    thats messed up

  • i like how they show a spanish officer, a black officer and a woman officer. wtf

  • Are they trying to show people that you don't have to be a white guy to be a high ranking Naval officer? I feel discriminated against. There was only 1 white person in this clip!

  • look at the real navy, go on board any naval ship. most of the officers are white. Dont worry bro. this ad is propaganda.

  • I know several officers that are not white....that simply is not true. There are not enough people of color who go to OCS and maybe that is the reason that arent more and good for them for trying to promote it.

  • 3 out of 5 of my chief petty officers are latino fillipino or of other decent then caucasian. Currently it is one of the most mixed out of the six services.

  • actually no white people

  • first comment

  • this was awesome!

  • WHy can't i see their whole face, seesh
