Any auto tune used in their music is just for effect, I think. Their production style is very layered, with a lot of very ethereal soundscapes. But a lot of it is Doug's inflection. Listening to him live is much the same as the studio recordings. He is a very skilled vocalist.

@BluTool yeah listening to it so many times it still sounds like "your dad hit you". also i've read many booklets where the lyrics are different. They put the written lyrics in the booklet, but that doesn't mean that the lyrics they sing on the track perfectly match the booklet.

@B0RNTH15WAY There is hardly any auto tune, just a radio effect early and delay... He really is just that damn good.

Autotune doesn't pickup on vibrato that well.

I was HORRIFIED to listen to this. I didn't know what to expect, they've been perfect so far, and I didn't wanna ruin it, but I mustered up the strength to click play, and tears streamed down my face when I heard the chorus because of how absolutely incredible it is. Thank you Safetysuit. I think I can safely say I'm your biggest fan.

This is definitely Safetysuit's best song. After I heard Let Go i freaked out real bad because it sucked compared to their other songs and it wasn't true to their original style at all, but this song makes up for it. If the rest of the songs on the new album are this good then Safetysuit will remain my favorite band. Why coudn't they release this song as a single instead of Let Go or Get Around This because it is way better than both of them. Can't wait for the new album!

is it just me or do safety suits new songs "believe" and "let go" have a lot of noticeable auto tune? :/ I really hope they keep true to themselves. I especially hope they don't change "these times" or "you don't see me" that much if at all, they are beautiful the way they are.

@underratedbandsftw pretty sure if there is actually any autotune in these songs, its very, very minimal. Their singer is actually just that good. And if you see any band, obviously they redo sections in the song till the singer and other instruments get the notes right and then piece them together. The only people that use auto tune really are annoying disney girls and the majority of artists that are like ke$ha.

@underratedbandsftw It's not unusual for artists/bands to play with their sound. I think ultimately they'll stay true to themselves. Let Go and Believe are a bit different but they've always screamed Safetysuit to me.

@underratedbandsftw The auto tune isn't really used to 'help' or assist him in singing in the way its usually used with most artists today. Its used more for the ambiance and atmosphere that it gives the song.

thanks for uploading! andjust a minor lyrical thing. I'm thinking in the chorus that Doug is actually saying "cuz I need you to stay here with me." But that's just my interpretation, which could very well be wrong. I'm the person that always has to look up lyrics cuz I can never tell what's being said. Anyway...thanks again!
