  • At 4:35 "Do excuse me I forgot to enquire for you boyfriend"?

(DN) "I don't confine myself to one, but I do confine myself within the limits of good manners and breeding which you obviously don't feel constrained to do".

If David Norris doesn't get a nomination for president then I'll be very annoyed, what a clever retort to give ROFL

  • @mrdrawde Thank you very much for your comment, it was a wonderful comeback wasn't it?

  • Norris, like many Irish politicians, misunderstands tolerance of minorities in Ireland to apply to the proponents of political Orangeism and British Nationalism. These are political movements antithetical to the existence of the Republic of Ireland. They should be treated as subversive and denied political legitimacy. But David Norris has endorsed a British nationalist group by the name of The Reform Group. He is not a suitable choice for President.

  • @Salix800 ta tu ceart

  • @Salix800 looks like he has been found out

  • love his english accent

  • he is some plonker

  • @TheTommycute He's a great man & a fantastic politician. Don't be so dull.

  • @RadiioPigeon I mean, I'd say something if his opinion was backed, there's nothing interesting about name calling...

  • @RadiioPigeon I mean, I'd say something if his opinion was backed up, there's nothing interesting about name calling...

  • @RadiioPigeon Are you for real, its nothing personal to Mr. Norris but lets be serious here it is a bit of a joke,

the whole thing is like sketch from little Britain!

  • Not only would he make a great President, but he would mark a big step in civil rights. With Ireland having a gay president, it would really show human progress. He is a great speaker and such a funny man, God bless you sir, and I wish you the very best luck on becoming President.

  • Please move to America and be our President!

  • @MikeAnthonyTV No you can't have him, hes ours hehe XD. Its not impossible to meet this man, on Bloomsday hes out and about in costume with many others running around Dublin city to all the places in the book Ulysses.

  • I could listen to Mr. Norris speak all day, and I only follow about every other word he says!

  • just a nice guy ,the irish oscar wilde...i wish david every success in his presidential bid

  • @martystuart1000

I thought Oscar Wilde was the Irish Oscar Wilde.

  • @martystuart1000 lol yeh oscar wilde was irish :D

  • Someone put this man in the Áras, now!

  • An opinion poll revealed that David Norris is the most popular choice for president.

I hope he does get nominated to stand in the election... I'd vote for him.

  • he'd be an excellent rep for Ireland. I'd love if the country were mature enough and ready enough for an openly gay president. it shouldn't even be an issue, after all it's 2010

  • Senator Norris for president

  • @blingwood4 thanks very much for your comment, just got the email now, I do hope that he will be President, it would an interesting venture that after changing the lives for every gay person in Ireland that this national treasure would then lead the country similarly to Mary Robinson & Mary McAleese who were both involved in the fight for Gay Rights along with Senator Norris as part of the legal team it makes sense that the succession of Presidency will go to David or at least it is my hope.

  • @blingwood4 AGREED!!! I'll be first in line to vote!

  • @blingwood4 still think the same..?

  • @LarryFogarty Yes 100%, I'm not a flake, I stand by my word.

  • @LarryFogarty woah. Living in the past there, Fogarty. I'll tell you what, why don't you and I have a chat hey? See how opinionated and confident you are when there isn't a computer and a million miles between you and the person you are directly offending. Take a lesson in common sense, you have the common bit sorted at least.

  • @blingwood4 whats the liveing the past bit,explain....?...and you have my first name....or are you just ignorant....and whos offending any one...am i not entitled to my view...and are you so naieve to think u will change my view...by meeting you?......

  • @LarryFogarty You would realise how up front and offensive your words are. I am not naive, just hopeful that one day Senator Norris and his likes will be properly recognised by the nation for having given up private lives, personal ambitions and for not having taken the path of least resistance. It is deeply offensive that the man who made it possible for me to grow up in Ireland as an equal human to my brother is being shown such disrespect.

  • @blingwood4 i am i right in thinking you are gay..an that is not my issue...yes and no doubt he done a lot for you......and tell me what i said was offensive.please

  • @LarryFogarty you are quite the bitter fellow aren't you. He's hardly a waster, if you knew what he did for human rights in Ireland I doubt you'd say that.

  • Comment removed

  • @LarryFogarty No, it isnt opinion, its fact

  • @edward982 you mean gay rights

  • @1982beast1971 I mean peoples rights in general, he has spoken out and for the rights of the travelling community also as well as various other causes, and as far as I know... gays fall under the human category ;) Thanks for the comment though ;)

  • @edward982 he didint do much for the fifteen year olds human rights.....did he??

  • @LarryFogarty go talk to Gay Mitchell about letter writing. I believe it's more criminal to write a letter to ask for leniency for a rapist who had not only stabbed his victim five times but continued to molest them throughout the course of it than it is to write for leniency regarding STATUTORY rape. What protection did victim of the aforementioned rape get... then again tis better hang a queer for something statutory than hang a straight man for rape or murder... such is the country we live in

  • @edward982 you are one hundredh per cent right
