You know I read somewhere ( quite a long time ago ) that the star that the 3 wise men followed wasn't a star, but It was accually Venus and Jupitar, extremely close and the combined reflective light of the two was soo bright that it looked like a giant star. That Swami Sri Yukteswar in his Holy Science makes no reference to 2012 is what is currently puzzling me.
Kali Yuga ended September 1699, and since then we have been in the ascending phase of the Dwapara Yuga. I still don't understand the significance of 2012 with respect to Vedic literature.

@sureshsingh1 Nothing Will happen physically and most will try to live blissful lives of positive energy to get ready for 2012 and when life goes on and nothing really noticeable happens then that's when people will crash and burn, and hopefully able to consider all equally and not just blissful energy and actually bring about a place beings want to be born into here in the physical world.
