hi there im a student in new york city and i've been assigned to build this bridge. i've been looking for as many pictures of this bridge as i can to find details about its structure but i still can't really be sure whether the columns that hold the bridge up are cylindrical or rectangular? and help would be appreciated. thanks
round with hollow centers, main stay piers were built differently, they are oval shaped, the main structures going from road up is also hollow. most was prefab across the river. ecaspte the base and the main stays. they were poured concrete and coated rebar, the roadway was also prefab.

i went on that monday and it is REALLY TALL!the other bridge got hit by a boat so that is why they built it
