You're amazing to be sharing your results with others and helping them out.. as an ex-bodybuilder have suffered since the past 11 years and know what you were referring to in the video.. will try out your recipe once and hopefully should be beneficial.
i still had the symptoms like belching and flatulence like in the morning, after meals and at night and occational BM issues. but i really love going to the gym so ibs didnt stop me doing what i love. sure there is farting in the gym and all that stuff but ibs is like a distraction in my life that i should not allow it ti take over me. so whey did not help me get rid of my ibs but i dont let it ruin my life. sad thing is im only 21. thanks for the video anyway :)
im glad it worked for you. i started lifting weights about april 2010 and started drinking whey oct 2010 to aid muscle growth. then my ibs symptoms appeared jan 2011. at first it really made me sick so i stopped lifting and drinking whey for about a month. went to the doctor and got medication that didn't really help. so i was convinced that its all in my head and went back to lifting and drinking whey protein.
I am glad that you finally found the answer to a long term trouble. But, could the culprit in this story be the "probiotic" effect of whey protein? Have you tried different probiotics before? If not you may try some of these as supplements or as fermented foods. I believe your body was not having enough of the good bacteria and the bad bacteria was prevailing all the time. With using the whey protein the balance has changed to the favor of the good bacteria.
Another success story......my friend was taking dulcolex to be able to go and had a lot of pain with that so I told him about the whey....day 1 he could not believe it he had what he described as a 'perfect' one then he raved to his girlfriend about it because she was constipated too and now she is feeling better so you can see......RESULTS!:-)
@Rabidwolverine3 LIke I said in the video you have to take it daily so it controls the IBS and eliminates it. You can't say it cures it because if you stop taking the Whey, then the IBS would come back. Hope that explanation helps.
2 weeks on and the whey has worked for me - all the gas and constipation has stopped - I now have regular bowl movements and no wind - thanks very much for this! A life saver! I was going insane before with failed treatments.
@namashivayaful THAT'S AWESOME!!! So happy for another success story!! Please spread the word!!! I would love to see as many people as possible beat IBS!!!
hi zrunner, thanks for the video, i am thinking aboiut giving it a try and have a couple of questions
- do you find it works better if you take it before meals or does it not really matter?I'm guessing that as you say you take yours mid afternoon and before bed it dosen't really matter?
-what do you mix the powder with, eg water, milk, juice etc?
Thanks for the video. I should however alert people, that taking that much whey protein a day without working out, could definitely make you gain weight. Depending on the brand you use, but most of these are pretty high in fat content. Whey protein is used for people who lift weights and want to increase mass. It aids in muscle recovery. Just a heads up.
@likeashitremixit I first started taking Whey Protein when I was working out, but I quit working out close to a year ago and yet I still take the Whey Protein because it helps me to continue beating IBS. It worked for me and should work for many others as well. Don't forget to also eat one cup of yogurt a day.
@Giannis1515 Yes I had both diarhea and constipation from my IBS. Take the whey protein twice a day and eat a cup of yogurt at night. Will take about two weeks to get your system straightened out if it works for you.
Ahh ok , so you can say your 100 procent better now?. Now problems at all .. ore still somethimes..? Hahah just interested. thanks for the fast responce.
i think im gonne start very soon with whey. :D and see how it will work out for me.
Hey how long did it take for you to be without pain, cramps, dhiarea?( cured)
I also wonder wonder its used by sportsmenn bodybuilders etc, so will it not make me gain allot of weight?
I have ibs now for 2.5 years, and tried all kinds of therapy. dieet but works short, my main problems are gass cramps and dhiarea. so i'm thinking about whey..
Im from holland : hope you understand my typing haha..waiting for your reaction z-runner thanks in advance
@MrKevindevisser Hi it took a couple weeks for me to notice a difference and within 3-4 weeks I was feeling like a new man! I am still taking my Whey everyday but I have found I can now get by with just taking One Scoop in the morning and One Scoop in the afternoon. I am still eating my cup of yogurt every night as well!
THIS METHOD IS STILL WORKING WONDERFULLY FOR ME!!!
Update: It is still helping me out a great deal and I am still improving it appears after about a month and a half of use. I ate a couple of things these past couple of days which would normally upset my system, by I haven't had any negative effects. I'll keep eating things I'm intolerant to, gradually, to build up my tolerance. Maybe eventually I'll be fully recovered. I don't know. I'm still doing a total of 2.5 scoops a day. 1/2 for breakfast, 1 for lunch with yogurt, 1 before bed.
i don't use it so much anymore, now maybe I use it twice a week. I'm still doing much better as I was when I was using the whey protein 2-3 times a day
if u have ibs go to a diet person thing person basicly wat i have been told ibs is a like u cant process a certain group of food and there are 5 diff groups so yeah
I myself take a scoop with 8 oz of water at breakfast. I have been eating greek yogurt with mine after lunch, I mix it in with water and one scoop of the whey protein. At night I have half a scoop in the evening with water. I drink warm tea with flax seeds in morning and evening. Warm tea at lunch no flax seed. I just chew the flax as i drink the tea.
Foods I've had to avoid while having IBS: Beef, Pork, Dairy, Caffeine, Gluten. I will eventually try to work some things back into the diet.
Well I have been taking this for a week now...a different brand than in the video. I am seeing a decent improvement so far...stool consistency gradually getting better with use and gas lessening. It seem to give me a mild headache at first but that has gone away. I too have had real problems with dairy among other things...but no problem with whey protein.
@StrikesONE Hey its the VITAMIN WORLD brand and the label says its 94% lactsoe free. BTW I have gone down to one scoop in the morning when I get up and one scoor at 4 pm I eat my yogurt at 9 pm every night. My program is still working out GREAT for me!
@zrunner240Z I just bought the whey supreme concentrate 1kg. I just had my first 1 it gave me a little sore/ uncomfortable feeling in my stomach. But it didn't last for long. I did it with milk? I'm thinking next I should use water or juice?. Does anyone here find they can't eat anything in the morning like me. You have to wait 2 hours when u wake up. I can really only eat when I am starving. When I try the water or juice and it's fine. I will update you in a few weeks and tell you how it goes.
@robotdr99 Hey yeah I take mine with cold water. I also do not eat in the mornings like you. I can eat pretzels or wheat thins in the morning but generally I still do not eat anything sweet or greasy until after I have been up at least 3 hours.
i'll trust you, cause i cant trust my doc enymore, they say theres no cure but i belive that there is a cure and i did it for a year ,i was kinda good for a year, it was cause i started only drinking water when i was thirsty.working out and i smoked weed .that help some but not really, after i stoped doing all that and got sicker ,i developed mental illness from the drasteck change in my life, istarted on zolof completly cure my sym but gave me other sym.like fatige. so im of that and feeling worst.
...When i dont have flex seeds in powder format, i but the flex seeds in the blender the results are similar, in the morning one nice blowel movement and no more D or C. Now next step is how to gain confidence on my self. cuz everything i need to go out, i have to know i can reach a WC... even if i feel good, like i usually do now. if i dont know where the WC is, i start to get stressed and my belly starts to stress too, sights, hard live, cant go anywhere :S.
I've been trying some combinations, and the one that works for me is, the Whey with flax seeds . What i do is this: One scoop of flax seeds ( powder form) then one scoop of whey but everything in the blender and take it at night 20 or so minutes before bed time...
@SwissShredder Yeah everyone reacts differently to supplements. The Whey Protein I take is 94% lactose free. I also had problems with milk and cheese before taking the whey protein now I can consume both with no problems. It has 100% worked for me, but like anything in life, what works for one peorsn may not work for others. You might have kidney or liver issues which cause you fatigue when processing protein.
@zrunner240Z hmm i got the resualts a few weeks ago apparently i got lactose intolerants and ibs but i dont think i have ibs i think he explanded it diffrently but still yet btw whey wont be good for some ibs people becuz 50% i beleave are lactose intolerant and whey is lactose i beleave
i really hope this works becuz it started with me at round 17ish and i had my 18th birthday had a virus which made my stomach worse becuz it targets my weak spot which was my stomach and ive just gotten over it ive really just turned 18 and i havnt been able to enjoy my life whenever i get this pain it just tells me to die it's soo painful so im going to buy this and see if it helps it's also going to be another wall on a wall thjats already up for me to loose weight
@shogaal14 WHY WOULD I WANT TO SEE A DOCTOR??? I HAVE ALREADY "CURED" MYSELF!! I saw doctors for 20 years that were NO HELP and yet on MY OWN I found what ended my 30 year long battle with IBS.
i really hope this works becuz it started with me at round 17ish and i had my 18th birthday had a virus which made my stomach worse becuz it targets my weak spot which was my stomach and ive just gotten over it ive really just turned 18 and i havnt been able to enjoy my life whenever i get this pain it just tells me to die it's soo painful so im going to buy this and see if it helps it's also going to be another wall on a wall thjats already up for me to loose weight and now ive got ibs
You might be allergic to Dairy and that's why you had IBS. So the activia and the whey is helping you a bit, but have you tried to go dairy-free for 2 weeks?
Give it a try, you got nothing to lose - remember that 75% of the world is lactose intolerant and the rest have allergies to milk protein (casein/whey). Milk is foreign to the human body passed infancy, especially that of a cow! Try eliminating everything (including whey) and see how you feel much better!
Oh, I really hopes this works for me. I'm going to buy some of this tomorrow. I don't really have hardcore IBS as some others talk about, but I have been dealing with it on and off since I was about 21. I'm now 26. It's just annoying. I've been thinking about whey protein for quite sometime too. Wish me luck sir. . . Oh, and Ron Paul 2012.
It's probably protein which you lacked...you could just get the protein from food as well. I have mild IBS and I eat a tin of tuna a day and that makes me take a big one the next day with a lot of relief.
But I have some whey in the cupboard from when I used to lift..I'll take the rest and see what happens. I've enough for about 10 more shakes
@Vegeta30592 I ate chicken and tuna all the time as well as red meat. My diet was heavily tilted towards protein and yet I NEVER had any relief!! As an aside I normally got diarhea after eating tuna but don't now since taking the Whey Protien. 30 years of suffering CEASED with the taking of Whey Protein so that is all the proof I needed.!!
heys just updating you on my progress, well its been 1 week and 4 days and i think ive got less gas but im still having bowel movements of 3 or more times a day and you said fibre mutiplies the bactaria so maybe i should stop taking the metamucil supplement.
Hey great video. I have noticed similar results. However, not all whey is the same. I find the stuff that is the most effective has a wide array of amino acids and additional L-glutamine. I'm taking Iso-sensation 93 and it seems to work. Other brands i have tried have not had the same results. (i'm not trying to sell the product).
@skiguy62 Cool by all means share whatever works best for you!! I lucked out with Votamin World as it was the cheapest and works great although the other brands may have worked just as well!
I will tell folks to stay away from Creatine is they have IBS. The setbacks I had in the first few months of taking Whey were the result if taking the Creatine NOS Blast. Once I dropped it I had no more porblems with IBS. I LOVE MY NEW LIFE that Whey has given me.NOT Suffering from IBS is WONDERFUL!!
Hey great video. Takes a lot of courage to put yourself 'out there' with your story. I've been beating around the same bushes with whey protein. I've done some research about it elevating "Glutathione" levels. Also, the various amino acids that are found in whey help repair and keep tissues health. Did you find initially your symptoms flared up for a period of time?
hello thanks for sharing this , i also happen to buy whey protein ( biotech) but its for muscle mass is it the same thing as what your taking? ive got it 2 days ago and been taking 2 times a day consiting of 2 scoops i will keep you updated
@TheXkarmax Yes actually there were a couple days in the first 2 months where I got hit and thought Oh crap another failed experiment, but thankfully those were just blips on the radar!.
I started a new job this week and normally in the past the stress would always cause me to have to hit the bathroom repeatedly and yet this week No problems at all.
Whey Protein has been a GODSEND for me!! I just hope others get the same benefits as I have!
@TheXkarmax I also read an article a month or so ago online that stated that Fiber will cause the bad bacteria in your small intestine to multipy whereas Protein will feed the good bacteria in your small intestines and help repair micro holes in the walls so perhaps if this true that would explain quite a lot about why I benefited from it so much!
IT WORKS! but it's only been 3 days, I'm not kidding I feel 100% i havent been like this for 3 years. All the doctors in 3 years couldn't help me, Thank you so much for this. every day i have a table spoon in warm water. "It's whey all the way"
P.S. my wife even likes the results, no WC stops at night. it's working great :)
@auz3186 THAT IS JUST OUTSTANDING!!! Please pass this info along to anyone else you know that is suffering! I would love to see others gain the positive benefits that we have experienced!!
Hi Zrunner240Z, Thanks for sharing the Whey Tip. I've heard that taking Whey without exercise can make you gain weight. Its doing regular exercise part or your routine? Thank again
Hi Zrunner240Z, Thanks for sharing the Whey Tip. I've heard that taking Whey without exercise can make you gain weight. Its doing regular exercise part or your routine? Thank again
@PinusDonkie Hey its an extra 350 calories a day so I made that up by cutting out calories in other areas so that I didn't gain weight. Although when I was working out daily and taking it I did gain muscle weight, but I haven't worked out after hurting my feet while running 3 months ago but I have still stayed at 180 lbs for the past 3 months. I eat about 2300 calories a day normally
@PinusDonkie i don't mind going for a walk every day, if it means no IBS pains. I feel sorry for people with IBS it's cruel and painful plus doctors have a blind eye to IBS.
@auz3186 yes, a walk is always pleasant. Most doctors cannot understand the social and physical implications.
About the progress, Right now iam Trying to find the right formula, the 3 times a day formula given some constipation and bloating. but at least is has an effect for sure. Thanks again for sharing
@PinusDonkie hey defintely try your own balance. What works for me may not work for others. SOme may need less and some even more but I am glad to know you can notice an effect. BTW as your body adjusts to the Whey over the next few months you will get less and less gas and bloating after taking the whey. I normally only belch once or twice now right after injesting it and rarely pass gas now. When I first started on Whey I passed much more gas than I do now. Good luck and keep my posted!
@solanderdog That's great man really hoping it works for you as well!! Like I've told others get the Activia Yogurt and eat a cup a day of it as well. It didn't help me by iteself but it may work in conjunction with the Whey Protein so I do both even though I didn't get better until I took the Whey Protein.
@zrunner240Z I've actually been on the SCD for almost 3 months and part of that is making homemade yogurt, so as to let it ferment longer (24hours) than the typical 4hrs for commercial yogurt. Plus, you don't get any of the added sugar/chemicals that way. It seems strange to be eating dairy after so many years of being afraid of it, but I'm doing the yogurt thing. Sorry about commenting twice! I will post again when I know if it's working or not. Our stories sound the same, so I'm hopeful!
@solanderdog Please do keep me posted! BTW you may not want to take as much as I recommend in my video as some people have had success with just one or two cups a day.
Ingridients: Protein Blend(Whey Protein Concentrate, Whey Protein Isolate,Whey Protien Hydrolysate), Cocoa Powder(processed with alkali). Soy Lechtin. Artificial Flavor, Sucralose, Lactoperoxidaise
I'll can read you the label. It says High in BCAAS(Branched Chain Amino Acids), Easy to Assimiate, 94% lactose Free, Aspartame Free, No Artificial coloring, No Preservatives, No Gluten, No Wheat, No Yeast , No fish
I'm going to try it, I'm going to do both Tivia Activia and the whey protein as I want to be normal again. the only thing is that i have to wait for the ebay shipment as I moved to China and these products are hard to find in this country. Thankyou for you help....
PS. I will let you know how it goes if it's helped me, Thankyou for sharing this video.
@auz3186 i really hope it works for you ! Let me know either way! Sorry you can't just drive to the local Vitamin World or GNC and pick yourself up some!
Thanks for sharing, free info is always a plus in my eyes :o)
I did the whole weightlifting thing 2 years ago, and was supplementing with whey protien. Personally I noticed that during these times my stomach was highly unpredictable, and I put it down to the whey protien, although after thinking about it, I was also taking creatine simultaneously. I might have to do some more experimenting.
PS. 1x probiotic pill first thing every morning with 2 glasses of water helps me a lot.
@rickvanman Yeah the NOS Blast you saw in the video is a Creatine Solution and it caused me a lot of probelms as well. I'm glad I gave it up and not the whey protein!
1 hour ago I forgot to mention my exact regimen in the video. I always drink one scoop when I get out of bed. I drink the 1 1/2 scoop around 2-4 pm depending on how hungry I am. I eat one cup of Dannon Activia Vanilla Yogurt at 9 pm and then take one final scoop of Whey Protein 20 minutes before going to bed.
I hope this will work for others like it has for me! After over 30 years of suffering with this miserable condition I feel like a new man!!
Thank you so much I really mean it!

I can really only eat when I am starving. When I try the water or juice and it's fine. I will update you in a few weeks and tell you how it goes.
robotdr99 10 months ago
@robotdr99 Hey yeah I take mine with cold water. I also do not eat in the mornings like you. I can eat pretzels or wheat thins in the morning but generally I still do not eat anything sweet or greasy until after I have been up at least 3 hours.

...When i dont have flex seeds in powder format, i but the flex seeds in the blender the results are similar, in the morning one nice blowel movement and no more D or C.

PinusDonkie 1 year ago
Interesting. Whey Protein gave severe fatigue like I've never had before, but I am extremely sensitive to any dairy.
SwissShredder 1 year ago
@SwissShredder Yeah everyone reacts differently to supplements. The Whey Protein I take is 94% lactose free. I also had problems with milk and cheese before taking the whey protein now I can consume both with no problems. It has 100% worked for me, but like anything in life, what works for one peorsn may not work for others. You might have kidney or liver issues which cause you fatigue when processing protein.

You should see a holistic doctor. I'm 19 and suffering from IBS but I'm slowly getting better with my doctor's help.

@shogaal14 WHY WOULD I WANT TO SEE A DOCTOR??? I HAVE ALREADY "CURED" MYSELF!! I saw doctors for 20 years that were NO HELP and yet on MY OWN I found what ended my 30 year long battle with IBS.

@DannyGrip1 I didn't drink Milk or eat ice cream for nearly 18 years. I can do both now since taking the whey protein supplement.

@rahmega7 Hope it works for you. It's been well over a year now and I'm LOVING life! Wish I discovered this secret 30 years ago!!
zrunner240Z 1 year ago
It's probably protein which you lacked...you could just get the protein from food as well. I have mild IBS and I eat a tin of tuna a day and that makes me take a big one the next day with a lot of relief.
But I have some whey in the cupboard from when I used to lift..I'll take the rest and see what happens. I've enough for about 10 more shakes
Vegeta30592 1 year ago

(i'm not trying to sell the product).
skiguy62 1 year ago
@skiguy62 Cool by all means share whatever works best for you!! I lucked out with Votamin World as it was the cheapest and works great although the other brands may have worked just as well!
I will tell folks to stay away from Creatine is they have IBS. The setbacks I had in the first few months of taking Whey were the result if taking the Creatine NOS Blast. Once I dropped it I had no more porblems with IBS. I LOVE MY NEW LIFE that Whey has given me.NOT Suffering from IBS is WONDERFUL!!
zrunner240Z 1 year ago
Hey great video. Takes a lot of courage to put yourself 'out there' with your story. I've been beating around the same bushes with whey protein. I've done some research about it elevating "Glutathione" levels. Also, the various amino acids that are found in whey help repair and keep tissues health. Did you find initially your symptoms flared up for a period of time?
skiguy62 1 year ago
thanks so much for putting this up. I just took a scoop of it. I really hope this works for me, I'm glad it has for you. i'll keep you posted

@TheXkarmax Yup same stuff just a different brand!! Good Luck and please let me know if you have the same positive results that I acheived!
zrunner240Z 1 year ago
@TheXkarmax Yes actually there were a couple days in the first 2 months where I got hit and thought Oh crap another failed experiment, but thankfully those were just blips on the radar!.
I started a new job this week and normally in the past the stress would always cause me to have to hit the bathroom repeatedly and yet this week No problems at all.
Whey Protein has been a GODSEND for me!! I just hope others get the same benefits as I have!
zrunner240Z 1 year ago
@TheXkarmax I also read an article a month or so ago online that stated that Fiber will cause the bad bacteria in your small intestine to multipy whereas Protein will feed the good bacteria in your small intestines and help repair micro holes in the walls so perhaps if this true that would explain quite a lot about why I benefited from it so much!
zrunner240Z 1 year ago
IT WORKS! but it's only been 3 days, I'm not kidding I feel 100% i havent been like this for 3 years. All the doctors in 3 years couldn't help me, Thank you so much for this. every day i have a table spoon in warm water. "It's whey all the way"
P.S. my wife even likes the results, no WC stops at night. it's working great :)

PinusDonkie 1 year ago
@PinusDonkie Hey its an extra 350 calories a day so I made that up by cutting out calories in other areas so that I didn't gain weight. Although when I was working out daily and taking it I did gain muscle weight, but I haven't worked out after hurting my feet while running 3 months ago but I have still stayed at 180 lbs for the past 3 months. I eat about 2300 calories a day normally
zrunner240Z 1 year ago
@PinusDonkie i don't mind going for a walk every day, if it means no IBS pains. I feel sorry for people with IBS it's cruel and painful plus doctors have a blind eye to IBS.
auz3186 1 year ago
@auz3186 yes, a walk is always pleasant. Most doctors cannot understand the social and physical implications.
About the progress, Right now iam Trying to find the right formula, the 3 times a day formula given some constipation and bloating. but at least is has an effect for sure. Thanks again for sharing
PinusDonkie 1 year ago
@PinusDonkie hey defintely try your own balance. What works for me may not work for others. SOme may need less and some even more but I am glad to know you can notice an effect. BTW as your body adjusts to the Whey over the next few months you will get less and less gas and bloating after taking the whey. I normally only belch once or twice now right after injesting it and rarely pass gas now. When I first started on Whey I passed much more gas than I do now. Good luck and keep my posted!

Thanks for posting the tip. I've ordered a tub of that stuff and can't wait to try it.
solanderdog 1 year ago
@solanderdog That's great man really hoping it works for you as well!! Like I've told others get the Activia Yogurt and eat a cup a day of it as well. It didn't help me by iteself but it may work in conjunction with the Whey Protein so I do both even though I didn't get better until I took the Whey Protein.
zrunner240Z 1 year ago
@zrunner240Z I've actually been on the SCD for almost 3 months and part of that is making homemade yogurt, so as to let it ferment longer (24hours) than the typical 4hrs for commercial yogurt. Plus, you don't get any of the added sugar/chemicals that way. It seems strange to be eating dairy after so many years of being afraid of it, but I'm doing the yogurt thing. Sorry about commenting twice! I will post again when I know if it's working or not. Our stories sound the same, so I'm hopeful!

PS. 1x probiotic pill first thing every morning with 2 glasses of water helps me a lot.
rickvanman 1 year ago
@rickvanman Yeah the NOS Blast you saw in the video is a Creatine Solution and it caused me a lot of probelms as well. I'm glad I gave it up and not the whey protein!
zrunner240Z 1 year ago
1 hour ago I forgot to mention my exact regimen in the video. I always drink one scoop when I get out of bed. I drink the 1 1/2 scoop around 2-4 pm depending on how hungry I am. I eat one cup of Dannon Activia Vanilla Yogurt at 9 pm and then take one final scoop of Whey Protein 20 minutes before going to bed.
I hope this will work for others like it has for me! After over 30 years of suffering with this miserable condition I feel like a new man!!
