  • lass mer die sinnead o´connor des lied numal singa ggggggggggggggggggggggg -lg kerstin

  • One of the coolest bass lines ever. Lou's more of a poet than a singer, but when they pick it up near the end with the guitarist rocking out - WOW. Tight band. Coolest baldy man ever!

  • geweldige muziek, dit nummer geeft hij vaak als laatste nummer

  • I never knew that Hunter S. Thompson played guitar for Lou Reed. That's friggin' awesome.

  • @misterrosewater LOL.. he was never that bald!

  • The drummer is Fred Maher. I saw this band on the Blue Mask tour when they renamed Studio 54 as the new Ritz and they were amazing. A few years before that I was in a band playing in CBGB and Quine walked by the stage and the other guitar player and I nearly froze. I only recently learned that the very important Harvard philosopher W.V.O. Quine was his uncle.

  • Un pur génie. Le plus grand.

  • What are the names of the others performing here?

  • @wingseclipsed Robert Quine,guitar; Fernando,bass;John Mayer(or Maher?),drums.

  • 26 dollars in my veins

  • any great is this !

  • I came here for Lou's awesome song but keep coming back for that interesting solo mr. QUine performs. It's epic in its emotional feel to it.

  • LOU REED IZ THE MAN.

  • Brilliant - love Lou Reed

  • Like if you were singing the ''bum bum bum'' in the chorus :D

  • @willrogerz I believe in the original studio version on Transformer that's Bowie.

  • qual o é o ano?

  • good vid. No one like Lou.

  • someone pls send me a msg how to pronounce Robert Quine's last name "Quine", hes great and his name should last.

  • Its Lou Reed. Lou Reed. F-ing Lou Reed. Kneel.

  • @fredannett fucking right....all bow to Lou Reed

  • great music.

  • unique sound!

  • A Dream...Lovely, so beautiful....Thanks

  • Stewart Copeland at the drums???

  • no - Stewart Copeland holds his left hand stick in the position of a military snare drummer - and he was blond haired. Similar face though...

  • @TheMarianz The drummer is Fred Maher. I believe he was only 19 years old at the time.

  • Awesome!

  • Robert Quine !!

  • Is this an example of how to ruin your own song live?

  • gards como eres imbécil y se ve que no conoces al buen Lou

  • With all apologizes to Sterling Morrison, I think Robert Quine was the best guitarist Lou Reed played with.

  • lou reed é sempre o melhor

  • i`m traveling right now on a satellite of love..........

  • Is there a video of him playing it live where he sounds more like the recording for Transformer?

  • I like it when Lou looks at the drummer during Harry Marc and john.

  • entra dentro e nn esce piu quest uomo ha una calamita

    numero 1

  • Who's the drummer ?

  • Fred Mayer. Brilliant drummer.

  • Can't seem to find Fred Mayer, drummer on YouTube. Who else did he play with? Thanks

  • He played with Scritti Politti, produced and played drums on Lou Reeds New York album. Ditto Matthew Sweet's Girlfriend album. He also co- produced and played on Lloyd Coles debut solo album. Any and all of those albums are shining examples of his work. Wow!

  • Thanks!

  • I watched this Bottom Line concert on VHS daily from the age of 15 until about 19.

Good to see it again. I think I have a about 128 Vinyl records of Lou and the VU.

  • lou de bonne humeur !!! wonderful musician is the best

  • Love this version, especially with the splendid band Reed had assembled back then: Fred Maher (drums), Fernando Saunders (bass) and the late great Robert Quine on guitar - surely one of the most underrated players ever. Check them all out on Lou Reed Live in Italy - one of the best recordings of his career.

  • Outstanding ! this guy was the first performer I ever went to see , I was fifteen - he was amazing .... thanks for the memories .
