  • these guys are getting up to 40gbps?? im in India and i can barley get 2mbps -.-

  • So this is about something really smartass, being shown in 240p... allright :)

  • I'd kill for that internet speed.

  • this video in 2007 i think now they have 10 TB speed connection

  • Australia's NBN is said to have a minimum speed of 100Gb Per sec

  • @sinclairalex80 It has a maxium of 100mbps dude :( And we will be paying 500dollars a month for unlimited internet -.-

  • @HDGamerZz after some research they are so misleading they are saying 100Gbps on the website but they mean gigabits which is around 10mbps or something. and fuck $500 a month, how can people afford that!

  • @sinclairalex80 It is not for retail, wtf.If you are ISP you can buy that and sell it retail over a lan infrastructure like an office building or apartment block. The end user gets gigabit internet at premium price and you get 500% return on investment, this tehnology is gold.

  • @Olengher When did i say it was for retail, and ur not even from Australia so you have no idea what we were talking about. and i never said that the technology is crap, i think its great. so i really dont know what your on about mate

  • @sinclairalex80 You sounded dissapointed. You said how can somebody afford 500/mo.But now i notice you speak about other connection, right. My mistake, sry.

  • @Olengher apparently the ISP companies want to charge $500 a month for this technology, thats why im upset :( but its all good man

  • @sinclairalex80 If you mean Australia NBN, it a great ideea. But you won't get 100 gbps internet at home, that is not feasable with current tehnology, they mean to the optic node or somethin.Anyway, you should remeber that tehnology is pretty much the same and same price everywhere, so you can't have incredible speeds at home, or incredible prices, but you could get somethin top price/performance, a good deal

  • @Olengher Well they have been promising 100 Gigabits per second (100 gigabits = 12 800 megabytes) like i said perviously its not bad technology or a bad idea. im saying the prices are "said" to be to expensive, to expensive for middle wage people. Even the price for internet now is pushing the limit. Im from australia, and i have lived in canada. The pricing is no where near the same.

  • @sinclairalex80 Makes no sense to promise 100gbps.Maybe you heard that on TV, those idiots are a waste of air.No specialist gonna say that, 100gbps, wtf.A sata hard drive writes at 1.5Gbps.On netindex australia and canada are rated about the same for price and value. But Australia is remote so your backbone connections are probably sattelite and thats most expensive and slowest and you probably will be charged for traffic. How much you pay?

  • @Olengher Sorry for the late reply, i pay $120 a month for 50gb of data

  • @sinclairalex80 Ok, i got the ideea, it is bad.You are much more urbanised than my country, you will get very high speeds inside country, but still you wont get fast internet and cheap with your network. The problem is backbone connections, for a good connection you must deploy underwater optic fiber. The ideea of countrywide network was bad, forget it.The money would be better spent on backbone connections, i think this is what you lack.

  • @Olengher I completely agree with you there, i need to do a bit more research on the NBN but hopefully the prices come down once that is built. It sucks haha :(

  • That would fill my hard drive in say... Never. Bad sectors ftw!

  • JESUS CHRIST! HOW IS THAT SPEED EVEN POSSIBLE?!?!?!?!??!

  • I wonder if any computer out there can upload 5GB :/ Hard drive won't let you upload things that fast.

  • @DarkAnimeWindSlayer if ur getting anything above 1 GBps i doubt ull be using a Hard drive on ur machine, its called SSD ; D

  • @boy4everjoy I want one D: My Harddrive is epic slow with uber fast hardware >.<

  • @boy4everjoy And at those speeds, you'd fill up a $500 SSD drive in about, say, 10 minutes.

  • 40 Gb = 5.12 GB.

  • @lXlNismo11lXl ---- Why 5.12 GB? I thought it would be 5 GB. 8 bits in a byte.

  • Genau! ;) extra nochmal nachgerechnet! :D

  • @tshepp89 1024 MB = 1 GB. Go from there.

  • this is for a whole city wireless internet not 1 computer you idiot

  • imagina baixando a 4 giga/s aff ignorancia ter isso

  • our isp is gay!

  • 35 watts r u fucking kidding 35 FUCKING WATTS. haha jkjk

  • 0:54-0:56 the guy on the left was like "GET THE HELL OUTTA THE WAY!!"

  • wtf 4 processor 0:28

  • the song if from the stuff you should know podcast

  • wellllllllll

  • Yeah too bad Australia is still running off Coper lines still, I live like 10mins away from the city in South Australia and the closes exchange for me is 7,000metres away from me in direct sight and I love getting speeds of 2kb/s during the day and peaking speeds of 500kb/s during night around 2am it is total BS. Anyway Internode just release a new plan hopefully I will get it it is 100mbps and 16mbps up can't wait to pay $140/month for 100gbs haha

    -Hackzer

  • @TeamXS7 i feel your pain, im in New Zealand, i would be stoked to get 500kb/s at night. where i live on dsl the fastest i would ever possibly get would be 130kb/s. still waiting for our city's exchanges to be upgraded to adsl2+ but by time that happens other places in the country will be getting upgraded to vdsl2 and fibre optic that havent already

  • Didn't anyone even see what happens on the left of the video at 0:54 study that area as to what happens to the guy.

  • @oliver18754 he just told him to go under the camera's LOS because they were filming.. so what??

  • Their are silicon photonic chips that can transmit 40Gbps on a single fibre so sending Terabits is no problem. The full potential of these technologies however will only ever be realised after the price tag is removed.

  • Yah?Sweden got 40 Gbps MUAHAAHAHAHAHA

  • @Davidloled yeah and you bastards have had that for a while now.. it pisses me off that the rest of the world haven't caught up yet.. if a gay place like sweden can do it why the fuck is the rest of the world so damn retarded with this technology.. well ask yourselves.. why would they want to give you 40 when you pay the same for 10.. the government loves to fuck us.. because they are in bed with large corporations all the fucking time and our taxes pay their salaries.. fucking corrupt ppl

  • well Sigbritt Löthberg's has world's fastest broadband 40 gbps loll omg google it ppl

  • Comment removed

  • Omg, why people are sooooo stupid? 40gbps for home use is like 50mbps or less!

99% of servers in the world have download limit to 300- 500kb/s and 1% of it has 5mb/s MAX!! This is because most servers in the world are connected by cabel no by fibres which is much faster than cable, so dont make any big dreams:]

  • lol dude what are u saying?? 500kbps? LOL my internet is faster than a server then

  • 40 gbps?? thats a hell of a lotta porn!!!

  • Don't worry, end consumers will not see that speed for a long time from now. This is just for backbones, this speed is divided into service plans (lower divided speeds, but more customers).

  • :DDD genius

  • 40 Gbps?? I can barely reach 1.5 Mbps here :(

  • wouldnt mind that all coming to my house.

  • And what we have is 700kbps(claimed), actual speed of 1/10 that. ...sigh...

  • but there still experimenting with 100gbps which would kill this oh well that's mores law in action!

  • i would fill up my hardrive in about 2 seconds.

  • i would fill mine up in 50 seconds O.o

  • wow a great innovation
