I thought the Republicans were dead in the water up until this speech, which really was amazing. Unfortunately, we were dead in the water anyway. Too bad she wasn't quite ready for the spotlight.
Truth is Mccain was dead in the water and Sarah Palin DID give him a good pop in the polls and the conservatives loved her. John Mccain was a lousy, lazy middle of the road candidate and the media pushed Obama beyond belief. Sarah Palin was no way the reason why he lost. She helped him and it wouldn't have even been close in some states (especially down south) without her.

I was actually very impressed with her during this speech on that night three years ago. But it became evident within weeks that she had excellent writers because she could never have come up with this speech on her own. She is a beautiful woman and - with a bit of practice and coaching - can deliver a good speech. But she is a horrible extemporaneous speaker (like Obama) who probably couldn't find Viet Nam on a map. I had high hopes for her. One of the greatest disappointments ever.

I was actually very impressed with her during this speech on that night three years ago. But it became evident within weeks that she had excellent writers because she could never have come up with this speech on her own. She is a beautiful woman and - with a bit of practice and coaching - can deliver a good speech. But she is a horrible extemporaneous speaker (like Obama) who probably couldn't find Viet Nam on a map. I had high hopes for her. One of the greatest disappointments ever.

As for the teleprompter, Sarah's reading off one in this speech, and it actually malfunctioned. She kept going and made a brilliant speech. Hussein can't say "hello" without his teleprompter. I want one thing from Obama- GET OUT. I don't depend on Obama for a job, because he has no idea how to create them (I mean REAL jobs, not government jobs that hurt the economy). The USA has one of the highest corporate tax rates in the world...although if you're a corporation that bows to Obama, (GE), you can get away with paying $0 in taxes. Obama's friends and cohorts are tax cheats who demand that the rest of us pay higher taxes. People like you just make life harder for all of us.

First off, Democrats have been in power for the last 4 1/2 years. I know math isn't the strong suit of the unintelligent, but at least try. Bush and a Republican Congress gave us an economic high after a slump at the turn of the century. In 2007, the Dems, led by Pelosi, assumed power. One year later, we were in a recession.
