  • I wonder how many grams that tone arm tracks at.. a lot I imagine.. too bad these old changers you can't adjust the tracking force.. I have a Garrard Type A.. I can get it down to 2 grams with the adjustments, but sometimes it has trouble staying in the groove

  • hey i have one of these models

does anyone know how much they're worth?

  • The "ding" is the turntable brake engaging when the changer stops.

It's a good idea to replace the original mono cartridge on any old record player with a more modern stereo cartridge, like a BSR SC12M or a Ronette 105, this way you'll be able to play stereo records without ruining them.

  • That's A REAL NICE PLAYER! It Just Needs A Slight Adjustment To The Tone Arm

  • I got a Garrard model 3000 ch anger, and as far as I'm concerned, it's a complete LEMON.

My late '70s BSR changer performs better, and that's really saying something.

    Hows yours holding up?

  • It works quite well, but I'm not using it very much, as it doesn't sound all that good and it probably wears our records faster than you can listen to them. but whan can you expect from a mid-late 50s bottom line(?) record changer?

  • Garrards are great work horses. I've got a few different models myself

  • tonearm comes in too far

  • What's the first song?

  • "High ´n dry" by Cliff Richards

  • ding! dinner's done.

  • Nice machine, thanks for posting
