@Rockawaylifestyle Personally, when I owned the bike I changed it right after break-in (600 miles), then again at 2000 and 4000 miles with synthetic motorcycle oil. Consult the manual for more official info.
Great video! Thanks to you my first oil change on anything ever (at 31...yes, I'm ashamed to admit) went off without a hitch. However, my scoot did turn into an autobot and smash my house so you will be hearing from my attorney ;)
First of all, funny commentary, second, how is it that a average automobile oil change cost around $30- $40, but a motorcycle (scooter) oil change cost around $100?..... thanks for the upload, now I have an idea of what to do.
@anime262 I think it has to do with how motorcycle dealerships won't see nearly as many oil change customers as car dealerships; that along with the hope that people are less apt to attempt service on motorcycles themselves. I have a degree in automotive technology, but even without that knowledge the Zuma is very easy to service.
Nice video, you have a future in instructional videos. My wife thought the girlfriend comment was funny. She is dealing with SRWS (Scooter Rider Wife Syndrome).
@alientestsubject I typically do when I'm in the shop, but I didn't have any when I did the video here. It's amazing how much time it saves to use rubber gloves. 20 minutes of hand washing turns into taking off the gloves and that's it!

you should use some rubber gloves. they protect your hands from hot oil and keep your fingernails clean.
