  • iam a guy and i have short hair and i watched this and the last tip was the most helpful

  • i only have like half an inch of hair

  • You kinda look like Jayma Mays :)

  • for the 10th tip , what if you a shampoo and conditioner mixed into one product? should I get new products with themselves alone?

  • u use wen?! does it really work

  • it has not been the 1st time i heard not to use shampoo on the ends of your hair but i mean on the ends there are more styling products for example styling mousse.

  • Thanks! That's super useful, my hair is a little Past my shoulders, and it's pretty good, although some days I have a problem with my hair... Like when I take a shower and let it Dry, it gets fuzzy, then I straighten it... Then like an hour later, it gets frizzy again

  • *-

  • I -33 tips 9 & 10(:

  • I find it so funny when people who make videos like these look like their hair is super dry, but yours looks literally the shiniest ever oh my gosh

  • Thanks so much! I love your hair, its so smooth looking

  • Thanks! I never knew you just had to shampoo your scalp thanks!

  • I have really soft hair but the ends are dry... Does anyone have any tips for that?

  • @truefairytale1 when you get out of the shower put oil on the tips of your hair

  • @truefairytale1 Leave in conditioner

  • Good tips what I do to avoid heat is I wash my hair once a week and straighten it and it will stay straight all week but yeah I'll fix it up around my bangs but other than that I only use heat once a week :)

  • Thank you for the tips! I am a big fan and you have inspired me to make videos. I think I'll go make one now. Haha. Anyway, I watch like ALL of your videos and they are truly inspiring so instead of thanking us, we should thank you! :)

  • Your hair is thick, shiny, and conditioned. I am so gonna try this out!

  • personally my no. 1 tip is to find the right shampoo!!!

I tried all the tips over the years, nothing ever changed my hair, but when I started using vegan shampoos my hair got healthier, now I've been using only vegan or sometimes vegetarian shampoos and conditioners and my hair has become significantly better! like seriously, it's worth trying.

  • @calijenny1997 SAMME HEREE! I did some research, and I found out that brushing, or hot showers might cause damage :(

  • Regular trims? That just MAINTAINS your length :s Try getting a trim every 6 months to let it grow. Why would you cut your hair off if it grows from the scalp? Just makes it shorter.. haha..

  • @misstaylormoon what she means is that regular trims will help it grow out healthily. going six months between each trim the ends will get split and really gross.

  • 26 people's hair looks like a broomstick..

  • you definitely NEED to condition your roots. that way, you're not trying to save already damaged hair, your keeping it from getting damaged in the first place. and instead of deep conditioners; use mayo and wrap your hair in a hot towel. its all natural and its the best deep conditioning treatment I've ever used. I wish I could get back the $100s I spent on trying to find the "best" deep conditioner treatment.

  • @baby420chica try to focus more on the tips, though because they break more easily and doing so will keep then healthy. it is ok to condition the roots, but try not to put too much on because it can make them greasy.

  • I havent used heat in over a year, I wash my hair like 3 times a weak, don't tease and my hair is still damaged! and I never used to use heat alot at all

  • Were you born a dark-blonde? Your hair is honestly BEAUTIFUL(: Whether you starightened it and what not. I want to see a hair routine of yours please..and you have bright beautiful eyes(:

  • You should only trim your hair when you see split ends :) That will make growing the hair overall a lot healthier, but wont help with growing :)

I seriously reccomend mane and tail for people trying to grow out their hair. I have such thick hair that takes forever to grow and it helped so much! Also, drink a lot of water! It helps so much, trust me!

  • awsome

  • Hair does not grow longer by cutting it...it just makes it shorter. all trimming does is remove unsightly split ends. you should maybe do some research before making an advice video like this. All the hair you see is dead so the roots of your hair don't know any difference when you cut your hair, it's still going to "grow" about a half an inch a month and if you cut off a half an inch a month you may never see results.

  • Ur never supposed to comb ur hair when wet even with a comb

  • thanks for the vid! :D

  • Don't forget Sulfate-Free Shampoo!!

  • what color highlights do you have?

  • Wow I just used this tips and my hair is instantly beautiful and clean and shiny and soft and most important healthy thanks for the tips

  • youre beautiful.

  • What dye do you use on your hair!? i love the color

  • i am the 11,000th viewer. very niceee

  • thanks for number 5!! <3

  • What do you think of Wen products? I have been wanting to try them

  • I have the same pink brush!!

  • these are really good tips :) glad to see more videos from you :D

  • you have the prettiest hair everrrrrrrrrr

  • These are all really obvious...

  • The real reason that you should trim your hair is because if you don't, when you go to brush or straighten your hair, the dead ends will break off therefore making your hair shorter. So if you trim the dead ends you're hair wont break off as much and therefore grow more.

  • but what if you have really thin hair? then can you shampoo everyday but just a little amount? thats what i do.

  • Great tips! Your hair always looks very healthy. I have been letting my natural hair color grow out for over a year now and my hair is much healthier than it was when I highlighted it all the time...but sometimes I miss being a blonde!

  • Some of the tips were very helpful! Thanks!

  • This was very helpful! Thanks:)

  • youre sooooooo gorgeous. ugh

  • You look so pretty in this video :) i love your hair!

  • You look amazing :)

  • Your makeup looks AMAZING in this video Laura!

  • I loveeee your hair ! you are way to pretty ! :)

  • Show us your favourit hair products!!!

  • How do you use a deep conditioning mask?

  • Do you know if you go it the shower and get it wet but dont wash it and just do conditioner will that still stripe the oils?

  • your eyes are beautiful!

  • The rule of how trimming hair makes it grow faster and longer isn't true at all. Cutting the ends of your hair doesn't effect the growth, because your hair grows from the roots. it's pretty obvious.

  • @dancingaubrey it only looks like it grows more because if you dont cut your hair it breaks off. so it seems like it grows fast when its not all breaking off.

  • @dancingaubrey it doesn't make you hair actually GROW faster...... but if you dont trim it the end are just going to break off so even though your hair is GROWING it isnt getting any longer

  • @dancingaubrey duh the hair grows from the roots, but if your hair is trimmed there is no split ends and split ends don't make the hair grow.

  • @dancingaubrey the heair splits and breaks off from the ends, if you have healthy trimmed ends hair grows longer because it doesnt split and break off.

  • @dancingaubrey yes but because the hair is split and dead at the ends, so it grows from the root but it just keeps breaking off so it doesnt LOOK longer!

  • @dancingaubrey

no because you have split ends so your hair just keeps breaking off and never gets longer if you dont get rid of the broken ends

  • @dancingaubrey yes, but if you grow out hair that's unhealthy and damaged than there's really no point because your stylist will suggest that you cut it all off.

  • @dancingaubrey But if you don't trim it, your hair will break off before the new hair grow out.

  • once again i realize how beautiful you are :) not just on the outside, but on the inside as well :)

  • i like the fact that you actually know what your talking about, not like other gurus sit up there and tell us what we already know, or even false information :) love you laura

  • when i trim my hair it stays that length for months, mine now hasnt been cut since summer and its getting So long

  • I want your hair! It's so healthy looking & gorgeous.

  • i really like your hair cut!♥

  • u wore the same shirt in the last video did u make it in the same day? lol

  • can you please do a review on the WEN hair thing?

  • Cutting you hair does not make it grow faster... How would your scalp know that your dead hair just got cut off ? There are no connections in between your roots and the ends of your hair ....

  • @MissBouclette1

Actually cutting your hair does "make it grow faster" in the long run. Because when you trim your hair, your split/dead ends are cut off so you can let your hair continue to grow healthily and you don't have to chop off all your super damaged hair later on.

  • @SuchAGleek EXACTLY WHAT I SAY! all of my friends are like "if you want long hair why do you cut it" i TRIM dead ends because 1. dead ends are not cute. 2. i want my hair to all grow the same length. when you do not cut your hair and let it grow out for a year or two, its very thin at the ends and not cute. IF you want nice, healthy hair, keep getting it trimmed every 2 months, you will notice a difference! but only say dead ends, dont say trim because that means different lengths to a stylists

  • @SuchAGleek I meant grow faster as in more hair comes out of your roots. It will get longer faster but won't grow faster. ;)

  • i don't understand why everyone disagrees with your tips. they really helped me. Thanks for the video :)

  • nice tips, love how you're playing Change at the begining, love that song :)

  • your hair looks lovely! :)

  • If hairs dead then how does it grow?

  • @Brownies191 it grows from the roots

  • your hair isnt dead. if it was, it wouldnt respond to hair products and different shampoos and conditioners. ask a hairdresser

  • @melrosebeautyx |

Hair is basically your body getting rid of dead cells, so technically I guess your hair is 'dead' :)

  • @melrosebeautyx Your hair is not a living thing. It is dead. It is part of your body.

  • @Queenlala439 no its lot lol ask any good hairdresser. not from somewhere cheap because they dont know what they're talking about

  • @melrosebeautyx Hair is dead. Google it, ask a scientist. Hair is did. The only part of your hair that is living is the hair follicle/root and that it attached to your hair. So if you cut your hair what you just killed it? Or you're holding a living thing? No. Your hair is dead. Dead. Dead. It doesn't take a wiz to know that. GOOGLE IT. Don't argue with facts. Your hairdresser is stupid.

  • @melrosebeautyx Hair is definitely dead. The only living part of hair is the part you don't see, the follicles beneath your scalp, where cells create new hair which eventually pushes your hair through your scalp, thus making the entire strand longer. External hair does not really "respond" to products, it just gets coated or stripped with their use.

  • @VlogJennerator your hair is alive, thats why it grows. the follicle is alive, and no it doesnt hurt to cut it or burn it, but it is still alive until it isnt attached to the head anymore.

  • @melrosebeautyx The bulb part of a single hair is where the hair originates in the dermis, then comes the root, then the shaft of the hair, which is above the skin surface (the part you see). Right above the bulb (still beneath the scalp, is the hair matrix, where all the hair growth occurs. Beyond the hair matrix, everything else is DEAD. I'd be more than happy to dig out my Anatomy textbook and cite references for you, if you'd like.

  • I love your tutorials, this helped so much. Thankyou -3

  • you dont break your hair, you stretch it

  • To the person that says cuttings split ends don't make your hair grow faster. The reason you want to cut them off is because they WILL BREAK OFF otherwise. So if you cut split ends your hair won't break at the ends, which is why people say it "grows faster". This is why people often find their hair grows faster after a cut and slows down if it's been a long time since your last cut.

  • @missmbond Actually, the biggest reason why they say cutting your split ends or very damaged ends, is because your roots sends what your hair needs to repair itself and grow. So if your roots have to send things to your bad ends, less will be used to grow your hair. If you cut trim your bad air, it won't need as much repair.

  • @missmbond i dont think that's what she meant to say - you hairr may not BE healthier with the dead ends cut off, but it will look healthier and feel softer and just overall it will improve the appearance of your hair

  • How long does it usually take for your hair to get use to not shampooing everyday?

  • @sniktaw95 a few weeks.. maybe a month

  • i always blast my hair with cold water before i get out of the shower. it feels nice lol :)

  • hey, stop saying that cuting your ends doesn't make your hair grow faster. It might not be true or whatever, but it does work for some people including me!normally,my hair grows like 1 inch a month, but when I cut it,it grows like 2 inches a month. So don't blame her, everyone's hair is diffrent!

  • I always put hair oil in my hair after a shower, I rub it in and then comb through it again, I've found that just that has made a huge difference in my hairs quality it's soo much better and smoother

  • If you're growing your hair out cutting split ends doesn't make it grow faster but it does help you grow your hair out. It makes the ends stronger (less breakage) which makes it possible for you to grow your hair long.

  • No NO no this video is all wrong!

  • @IshOnyi3 i bet your a world winning hair stylist arn't cha? lmao your wrong.....

  • to grow my hair longer i didn't cut it and never used heat and rarely put it up and it worked really well so I think the best trick to grow your hair is finding really cute no heat hairstyles :) It worked for me :) By the way I love your videos :)

  • You should almost always use a comb. It gets rid of frizzness as well. My hair is super thick and frizzy but after I used a comb everytime I washed/brushed it my hair became more managable.

  • Cutting your split ends won't make your hair grow faster, it just helps the ends of your hair from splitting up , which will make it look shorter.

  • Please do some makeup tutorials! I absolutely looooove your makeup tutorials.

  • omg your hair is gorgeous!

  • i hate using shower caps! is it still less damaging to your hair if you don't shampoo every day, but you condition your hair every day?

  • @abrcrmbieluva98 no, it isn't damaging if u condition your hair everyday :)

  • Omg u kno a lot about hair!! Def gonna try these tips!!!!

  • @brookeandshelby17 @dontSTOPbelievingO3 and all the people hating on laura. this is HER video she can say whatever she wants. hello freedom of speech? if you dont like what shes saying leave. dont make rude comments. she can take care of her hair however she wants how would you know what damages HER hair or not?? dont hate appreciate. haters fall back. love ya laura ignore the haterzz!

  • okay who cares if u it makes it grow faster or not she put a video on here to help not to be judged on everything she says...and no your hair does not grow faster when u get trims...it just causes it not to split

  • This was very helpful to me i really want to grow my hair and at the same time keep it healthy! Also could u do a tutorial if u havent already on you eye look like eye shadow, mascara, eyeliner it really pretty

  • makeup tutorial!

  • okay people.. hes the deal.

all hair is dead. there really is no way to make dead hair healthier. it could APPEAR healthier but it isnt. because its dead... okay? okay.

    and love you:D

  • @ilovevarsityfanclubb How can hair be... dead?

  • @xBeautilicious hair is dead skin?

  • @123lk098 hair isn't skin o.O hair is hair ?

  • @ilovevarsityfanclubb um yeah you can make hair healthier...

  • guys, cutting your ends actually does make your hair grow a bit faster, not much, but it does affect it !

  • I already do eight out of those ten things.. guess I keep my hair pretty healthy (:

  • i was told by a hair stylist that when you trim your hair it doesnt have those split ends which will allow it o grow faster . also my hair is so greasy i take a shower almost everyday and shampoo in every single shower i take. i may try not shampooing tomorrow and see how it turns out :)

  • i love ur hair cut!

  • I didnt cut my hair for over a year.....It grew 6 inches.....

  • @catchawave1212 Hair grows an average of 6 inches a year, so yes...

  • @catchawave1212 yeah, but how healthy is it.

  • Cutting it does not make it grow faster it just gets rid if splits and breakage. Your hair grows 1/2 inch a month on average. If you cut it constantly you will just be cutting off new growth.

  • @phantomfromhell5 Hair grows from your scalp not the ends of the hair so you would not be cutting off new growth :)

  • When you say take a break from shampooing, do you mean shampoo and conditioner?

  • Laura, cutting your split ends will NOT make your hair grow any faster, your hair grows from the roots not the ends. Many people seem to be confused about this, but i have asked several hair dressers and it isnt true. You can cut the ends to make it look healthier but it won't make your hair grow faster.

  • @brookeandshelby17 its more of the fact that if you dont cut your hair it will break at the same rate that it is growing so it will remain the same length. Yes your hair will still grow, but it will be breaking off at such a fast rate that it will remain the same length that is what she means.

  • @brookeandshelby17 yes it will not make your hair grow faster you are correct, but if you dont cut off your ends trying to grow out your hair is pointless because it will end up breaking off and you will be left with short damaged hair. so cutting your split ends is a necessity

  • @brookeandshelby17 i'm sure she knows hair grows from the roots not the ends. BUT, if you have split ends, when it grows, the split end will split even more.

  • @brookeandshelby17 it doesn't make your hair physically grow faster, but it makes it so the ends are stronger, so they won't break off.

  • Comment removed

  • @brookeandshelby17 Thats very true, it won't make your hair grow any faster. HOWEVER, cutting your split ends will help it keep from breaking as easily. When your hair isn't breaking off at the ends, it will get longer faster. It will still be GROWING at the same rate, but the hair will be getting LONGER because it isn't breaking. Just thought I'd clear that up.

  • @brookeandshelby17 but whats the point .. growing your hair and it has a bunch of split ends .. does it look pretty ? absolutely NOT ! Yes hair does grow from the roots but if you don't cut your split ends they're going to keep splitting and breaking and when your hair breaks it doesnt grow as fast.

Here are the best tips :

BE HEALTHY & GET A TRIM WHEN NEEDED !

  • @brookeandshelby17 When there are split ends, hair doesn't grow as fast, the growth rythm slows down, which is why cutting split ends makes the hair grow faster, it gives the hair that boost it had lost with split ends

  • @brookeandshelby17 no it won't but it will seem to because when your hair grows it won't break of, hence making it look like its growing faster...

  • @brookeandshelby17 I think getting trims does make your hair grow faster, not because your getting trims and cutting off the dead hair but i think its because when you have split ends and damaged then your hair breaks off at the ends or the splits get worse so more of your hair looks unhealthy. I think by cutting off those ends, you prevent further damage to the rest of your hair and you stop it from breaking more. So now it looks like your hair is growing more because its not breaking as much.

  • For your first tip.. even if you don't feel like brushing your wet hair with a paddle brush isn't harming it; it still is. It's not the fact that your hair is tangly or not, it's the fact that when your hair is wet it's very brittle and valnurable to damage.

  • @dontSTOPbelievingO3 Why does your hair suddenly become more brittle just because it's wet? I mean... it's the same hair. Please explain if you can, I'm very curious! :)

  • @dontSTOPbelievingO3 It's not cause hair is brittle when it's wet. It's the opposite. Hair is stretchy when it's wet. Stretching is is what damages it.

  • @dontSTOPbelievingO3 So how do you do for curly hair? If I don't brush it when it's wet, I'll never brush it :S

  • @BaudelairianBeauty You can use leave-in conditioner, that might help the tangles. Once you get out of the shower you just put it on the bottom section of your hair. Then take a wide tooth comb and take your time combing through it. And make sure to start at the bottom and work your way up. :)

  • If you get your hair cut more often, it will speed up the growth because when u cut the dead ends off it lets it grow more. it would be shorter but it would grow faster. promise

  • READ THIS AND THUMBS UP IF U WANT HER TO MAKE A PART TWO FOR THESE KINDS OF VIDEOS!!!

  • your hair is soo nice! and it is a misconception that trimming your hair makes it grow faster, it grows at exactly the same rate regardless. it's just that trimming your hair will maintain it and keep it healthy.

  • Cutting your hair helps keep the ends from breaking off. This allows your hair to grow at it's normal rate. You'll see better results because of the lack of breakage, so your hair appears longer and looks like it's growing "faster" even though hair grows at the same rate regardless of cutting it or not.

  • Omg thank you!! These are soo helpful!!

  • watch ilikeweylies hair videos , shes amazing , watch them all .

  • <3

  • @girlbeach7

All of your hair is dead.. the only thing that is actually alive is the folicule.

& cutting your hair actually has some part in making your hair grow.

Your hair grows from the scalp, but cutting the split ends off, helps your hair in many ways. If you don't the split ends can keep splitting, which makes it hard for your hair to grow. Cutting your hair allows your hair to grow even longer and more faster, than not cutting split ends.

  • @xjustinxlover your hair is STILL growing at the same speed, you can just see the results more because of the lack of breakage

  • When I started drinking more water my hair grew a lot faster, and my skin broke out less. There is also a vitamin you can take to make your hair and nails grow.

  • Tips from a hair stylist...on washing your hair, wash it when it needs it. Some people have oilier scalps and need to wash everyday some people can go 3-4 days. And, it is possible to over condition your hair so don't use too many conditioning products.

  • Comment removed

  • Cutting your hair does NOT make your hair grow faster.I mean think about it if your hair grows from the roots at the TOP of your head then why would the dead ends at the BOTTOM of your hair affect the growth from the roots! Amazing video though!!! Thumbs this up so people don't go chopping of their hair for nothing

    Xoxo, Zoe

  • Your hair is gorgeouuus
