its hella odd.... thats three different feels.... dd for the sq re audio for spl and fi for best of both... they are all good as brand.. if you ask me ... i say the top three...i'd go with the re XXX i love spl

if you ask me... dd audio's 9500 or above is all out spl monster. they do have a good sound quality series tho (3500 series). re audio's xxx is great for spl too. they also have the sx series which is good for a mixture of sq and spl. and then fi is just an all around good brand for a mixture of both but the q series is amazing for sq. i mean thats my take on it. but everyone has their own taste =]

Theres no such thing as better. Its all based on opinion and what sounds best to you. I own a dd9512 and i like it alot, my friend has a re mt and his is incredibly loud as well. I think there all good brands and they can all match each other. Sometimes it isnt the sub, its the enclosure, the amount of power and electrical system, and the vehicle that make the biggest difference in sound.

Thats definitely true. Though in my personal opinion, and that only goes for me, all these brands DD, Re, Fi, there all Spl beasts. All of them are ment to be put in ported boxes but you dont have to have a spl setup. I have a dd9512 and its in a 30 hz box and thats definitely not spl. I guess i would rather have the boom in the trunk then sound quality lol.

right now all i have is the stock alt a yellow top and the big 3. thats about as loud as i can take it right now without major volt drops. id def recommend a bigger alt some batts and 0 gauge. i have a 300a coming in soon, hoping that will solve my voltage issues. id say get the 2500 though i love mine.
