  • @SlayerxLeo354 That was a clever comment indeed

  • Where the legend begun...

  • These games are obviously great, but to compare them to todays games is unfair, Arkham City for example is a great game, but u cant compare it to OoT. OoT has the nostalgia working for it too.

  • @Dawkness23 Amen

  • Navi- "Hey, Link it's time to get up. The deku tree would like to see you."

  • @retardedscarded fuck Navi!

  • @Treggorz let me know how it goes when you do that.

  • Whenever this music plays, a big smiles comes to my face~

  • Imagine that music in the early mornings when you wake up and start your day.

  • my friend got this game when it came out and it said rated T and i was like wut?

  • The memories come flooding back.

  • This is the only part of OoT I played when I was a little kid, so this is the song that brings me the most nostalgia for the series. I've come to love the entire soundtrack since then though. ^__^

  • I feel like a kid with this music! ^^

  • This was also in the Minish Cap :D

  • @ConnorK1995 Really? Cause I don't recall hearing this song in Minish Cap...

  • @Glentina428 Well then you weren't listening at all. Play through it again.

  • I find myself humming this song when I'm at work.

  • @tharob indedd sir. indeed!

  • LOL

When I first tried to think of the song for this, I thought of the Lost Woods theme (Saria's Song).

  • ohh.. rupeess.. niceeee xD

  • "WHERE. IS. THE. FUCKING. SWORD."

  • Christ, I'm old...lol (Fucking love this game, don't get me wrong here.)

  • I think the problem today is that games are too damn trendy. Everything today is so generic because everything wants to be too cool for its own good. Gamers today are too full of themselves and dont let themselves be surprised by games. They all want the same stuff as before and are dissecting games like it was a contest. It has lost most of the magic. Both gamers and developers are to blame for this.. IMHO

  • @Diabolojr it depends on what ur into

if u like games that have sex, extreme violence(like war crap) or simple sports or racing without superhuman gimmicks then yes ur right and i agree with you completely

  • @Diabolojr COD lol , that shit is making videogames look all the same.

  • @Tonypikmin CoD is making everything look the same. I remember everything from the 90's and such, sitting down in your living room, playing the new Zelda game that came out, having actual fun. Nowadays, Zelda and such has been runed. Your name reminded me and the old Pikmin games, hopefully they make a third where its the same as the old ones.

  • @KillaCode1 Pikmin 3 confirmed for Wii U!

  • 3 people never got their own fairy.

  • I'll say after beating Master Quest, the original just doesn't seem the same. I wish they'd do more Master Quests for the other games.

  • Ever tried Master Quest. That is a beast of a Zelda Game. But so fun and worth it.

  • aren't they remaking this game for the 3DS?

  • @allthatishere Yeah, but I won't buy it unless there is something new added, like a dungeon or extra quest.

  • @oscarnswe They're putting in Master Quest, too.

  • wait a second.... does this sound like outset Island to anyone?

  • Somehow this needs Link's scream intermittently played over it.

  • I'm betting this will sound super weird but I'll say it, I can howl very well most Zelda songs.

  • GAMING IN THE CLINTON YEARS!! FUCK YEAH

  • Not enough people appreciate the art of making a video game.

  • Probably my fav game of all time. Still got my original cartridge around.

  • Hey!

  • I'm so grateful for being able to have had the experience of playing this game when I was younger, with my little brothers. It formed a strong bond that we still have up to this day. Just the memories that go along with the songs from Zelda OOT are quite literally strong enough to make me tear up. Most of the songs from Zelda OOT are like the theme songs of my childhood.. along with poke'mon for gameboy, amongst other games.... Not to mention, it was the best game every produced in history.. <3

  • Haha, good old times.

Me and my twinbrother running through the Kokiri Forest, and back then we never knew what to do, we always got lost in the ''Lost Woods''...

    Beautiful times <3

  • Hey! LISTEN!

    *hits C-up*

  • @tinkred9 You sir are gay

  • @LeoStarman97 well what i meant was, i didnt really like that game okay.....

  • i played this game before, it was a peace of crap.

  • @tinkred9 :O WHHHHAT!

  • @tinkred9(AKA Troll) Don't insult things if you can't even spell "piece" right.

  • @impregnent im not a troll you butt nugget, all i said was i didn't like it... jeez

  • @tinkred9 Butt nugget?

-_-' WHATEVER. if you don't like it, don't say it =D

  • @impregnent ok ill leave you alon ._.

  • @tinkred9 Lol ijs xD

  • @impregnent i mean alone*

  • oooohhh well,

great music from by far the best zelda game ever made...

can still remember the very first moment stepping out of links house...

i was like running around to admire the area for 1 hour straight xD

  • And Saria is ADORABLE! XD

  • Played this in my teenage years...And if there's a heaven for me, I sure as hell am hoping that I will soar one minute and then POP! walk into Kokiri Forest as a little kid and just...

    Live forever ^^

Neverland ain't got nothing on Kokiri Forest! :D

  • ah this influenced my childhood. before this game, i was like a stay inside its too bright person. after this, i wanted more, so i gathered a bunch of stuff everyday (lantern, bottle of water, etc.) and would explore the backyard forest.

  • I remember the end of 3rd grade well, my sis got a furby...and I got this. I think I won that arrangement.

  • I'm so lucky to have a gold cartage I'm gonna play it right now

  • all of these Zelda songs bring a funny joyous feeling to my heart from all of the awesome memories.

  • Too bad kids nowadays are growing up with games like MW2 and not this...

  • @iamadam13 I agree. Although I bought mw2, I sold it within 2 months. I hated it anyway but nothing compares to this. and This game is still #1 on my list.

  • I probably would have at least tried to get a quickie with saria before I left for a seven year legendary journey, not knowing if I would ever come back. And knowing that zelda never puts out

  • you've just brought back so many memories I consider this game to be my #1 game of all time playing through kid and adult link seeing Saria and getting to young Zelda like solid snake while fighting an evil gannon and his super form ... ah nostalgia

  • I also made the vid though its new, I'm a Zelda and final fantasy fan xD i give this 5 out of 5 if u comment my vid please!!!

  • n64 was the best just so many good memories and the first time i beat it i was sad that it had to end but as of now i have completed it 5 times

  • @MrLookaplane try locating the master quest version! it works exactly opposite of what you know in these dungeons. so you get that confused feeling again!

You start the fire temple at it's end and work your way to the beginning xD

  • @garfreeek i probly wont unless its realy cheap i just love this one so much the master quest might destroy that love that i have

  • @MrLookaplane maybe,

but It is made for the hardcore zelda fans (the ones who've played ocarina about 8 or 9 times) At some point there is no more chalenge to the game so that's when this becomes fun I just looked back in more nostalgia as i went through it ^_^

  • I remember when I was just a little chap and I was playin this game. I was to young even to know what to do hahaha, but I had some awsome times in this game. Living the adventure as the sages had foretold, but my favorite part was just chatting around Korkiri Forest and listening to this tune...

  • good times... :') i never go forget the n64, it change my childhood!

  • Goddamn you Father Time, you unrelentingly quick son of a bitch!

  • reminds of the times when this game was new...

me and my friends as kids lived near a huge forest, we'd go out every day in the summerand just explore and return just as the sun was setting!

For the time, this music sums up the whole element of innocence and curiosity in a child exploring a forest

  • the good old games!

  • One thing I could change about the game after listening to this song? KIll MIDO!! >:)

  • IMO OoT is still the most outstanding game, there ever was!

  • @Mabusi5226 Was, It still is :)

  • No offense, but you should have added this earlier, though I guess it's hard not to have songs like Gerudo Valley and Song of Storms first.

  • if u havent add the boldero of fire add it

  • Buah!! This is, for me, the best song in the whole game!!

  • This is imprinted on/in my brain, especially wanting to kill that Mido.

    Ohhhh, the memoies.

  • About time, Darky! :D

  • This classic is only a minute and 18 seconds long?

    (sigh)

    Now, FOR THE TEMPLE!

  • Yeah I know but I think the soundtrack all the tracks are really short though. :-/ Still good

  • one of the best games ever i feel nostalgic when i play and hear it cuz i played this when i was little

  • nice game. awesome soundtrack.

  • SO many great and memorable games back in the late 90's, it was like the developers believed 2000 would be the end of the world and so they put in 110% effort in making the best games possible.

  • the kids of today are thinking that those games are just as good.

You think that those old games are good becaus you were a kid back then :)

    And so do i.

  • That is a huge over-generalization. Some of us actually hated games that made us think as children, and only realized how awesome games like Zelda were when we found it at the bottom of the game pile after we had forgotten it for five years.

  • I have to disagree with you. If Nintendo didn't decide to go extremely casual then they probably would still have a bunch of good games out that were as impressionable as the ones in the 90s but you know how the Wii is. All the other systems are about first person shooters and fighting games. Even though I like those genres it all gets generic.

  • Twilight Princess was an awesome game imo. OoT just mesmerized me when I was a kid though.

  • @aleon76 *1 year reply* Now all we need to do is make them believe 2012....

  • @aleon76 absolutely today games are not as good as late 90s and I feel nostalgic

  • @aleon76 well now they got 2012 to look foward to

  • @aleon76 we can only hope 2012 does the same thing :P

  • @aleon76 and when they made ocarina of time, they belived the world would end next week, so they put 3060% effort in the game

  • @aleon76 If that's true, and they believe in 2012, Skyward Sword better be freaking awesome.

Though, no game can be compared to this one, IMO :D

  • @NinjaMinkzx But time goes by and history repeats...

  • @aleon76

yeah it seems that after 2000 all the games are just shoot this and shoot that sure there are a few rare games that will touch you and make you involved into the game but nothing like OOT did back in the day.

  • @MountainWolf100 yea, other than like maybe 10 game cube games and a few others, everything great was on the n64/snes/nes.

  • @hungryhungrymetroid I'm lucky to have one, unfortunately, I can't say the same for my friends. I'm 13 and I wish that I could've grown up with these games awesome games nes through n64

  • I've honestly been waiting on this one for years.

  • Good thing I can imagine the sounds of running water, Link's feet shuffling across the grass, the frogs, and the ambiance by myself. One of the most memorable tracks of my childhood--and I think it's safe to say that I'm not the only one who has every song from this game memorized.

  • There's a cow in my tree house!

  • @Sephiko im still wondering how it got up there.

  • Ah, nostalgia. Even though I never found that sword, somehow running around a dinky little village was fun at 5 years old.

  • Beginning of one of the best game ever created. Thank you, Miyamoto-san!

  • Mido SLIDIN' through the entrance

  • so... it took you 520 videos to get to this one? XD

  • Any reason why it fades at 0:50-ish?

Your list still needs Spirit Temple.

  • What a magical time it was hearing that music and playing that game for the first time.

  • When I first heard this song it got stuck in my head, and so did Navi's voice. NO I DON'T WANT TO LISTEN!!!!

  • I can't listen to this and not be in a good mood. This reminds me of being a kid for some reason. Probably because the kokiri are forever young or because i was around 7ish when I first got this game and this is the first thing I heard.

    Excellent. 5 stars.

  • I have a flawless version of this game on Project 64 emulator, and it runs so much faster on PC with todays hardware.

  • greatest game ever <333

  • NOSTALGIA

  • amazing

  • Link: HEY! LISTEN!

Navi: Why are you copying my HEY LISTEN?

Link: HEY! LISTEN! SHUT UP NAVI!

  • hello?,heyheyhey;listen,hey,listen,hello?listen,heyhey

  • lots of Navi fans ^_^

  • Navi: HEY! LISTEN! HEY! LISTEN!

Link: SHUT THE FUCK UP! YOU'RE SO DAMN ANNOYING! lol

    I love Oot

  • Listen! Hey! Clue! Watch Out!

  • Greatest game of all time!!!

  • Now Lon Lon Ranch needs to get on here soon too...

  • Yes! OoT is one of the best games ever and this song definitely deserves to be on this list :)

    Navi: Hey! Listen!

Link: (That's gonna get old quick...)

  • One of my favorite songs from one of my favorite areas in a video game.

  • OoT's soundtrack is great, but it's weighted down by the sound quality of the N64. True magic comes when you hear the remixes on ZREO.

  • imo the sound quality gives the charm i used to love.

  • HEY!

  • LISTEN!

  • OOT influenced my childhood. Best game ever made, love the music more than anything.

  • Best game, indeed.

  • Just like me, I grew up with this games... those were the days...

  • @LexRyuzaki, Same here, my first celebrity crush was Link. :D

  • I think I'm going to replay this game, it's been way too long. Probably after I'm done with Symphonia 2.

  • Yeah me too, its holiday time here is Spain.

  • you need a shield and a sword ...

  • Ahhh.... great little diddly :)

  • Ah, notalgia...coming out of the tree house and seeing Saria for the first time....

  • Good times!

  • Or watching Navi bump into about 9 trees and fences before reaching Link's house. It must have affected her memory...and her self control :P.

  • memories...
