Actually yes it is in the bible. If you do a little research you will find that in the Latin text it is the word "Rapio" which is where is where the term "Rapture" comes from. There is so much about the rapture throughout scripture but I will mention just one. 1Thes 4:17 mentions "caught up". In the original Gk the word is harpazo and the Latin is rapturo. Actually yes it is in the bible. If you do a little research you will find that in the Latin text it is the word "Rapio" which is where is where the term "Rapture" comes from. They both mean "to catch up or catch away". So when Christians speak of the rapture they are refering to what the Apostle Paul wrote about in 1 Thes. 4:17. The word also appears in Acts 8:29 when Phillip was "snatched away" from the eunuch. Just thought you might want to better educated and know the truth.

@chuckyoo I am guessing you are making this quote to say there is a rapture. Let's take a look at when it will happen. 1 Cor 15:51-52. It occurs at "the last trump." The last trump (or trumpet) occurs AFTER the great tribulation.
Matt 24:29,30 "after the tribulation" the sign of the Son of man appears.
Jesus says many times He will come as a thief. AFTER the 6th vial, He makes the same statement. Rev 16:12-17. There is no secret coming. Mark4:22

Of course we do not know the time or the hour but the bible does tell us when certain things start happening to know the time is near. So basically as you said we need to be ready and be preaching the good news to all we can. So we agree our scriptures say the same thing :)
