trekky74205 the Enterprise D is a classic and beautifully designed starship wheras the E is ugly and arguably not as powerful as a refitted galaxy class ship.
Sorry to burst your bubble TheCharlie359...but according to the Daystrom Institute website, the Sovereign class is the most powerful in the Federation fleet. The MkII Galaxy is next in line along with the Prometheus prototype.
Otherwise, I agree with your comment...I rather like the Galaxy over the Sovereign...I even have a Galaxy class Star Trek model that I'm working on with extra parts to make it a MkII.

The Ent-D crash scene looks so fake. It looks like they were dragging a tiny model across some dirty. When the model makes impact with the dirt...and is gliding along it...'trees' spring back up after the ship passes over them, hahah.
Sovereign is the best vessel in Starfleet conerning technology. But it looks a little bit clumsy. The warpdrive everytime reminds me of the one of the Constitution-Class. I don´t really like it. Why did they design it so big? The warp drive of the Intrepid had been shrunk, for example. And in my opinion the saucer should look more seperated from the hulk.
Galaxy is my favorite vessel. The proportions are perfectly designed.
IMO enterprise E (sovereign class) is by far my favorite ship of the series. By far the most beautiful starship ever. I find it odd that it is slightly smaller than the enterprise D, not looking nearly as good as sovereign.
I find it cool that the ship survives a crash like that, the relatively thin hull of these ships must be must be much stronger than anything today.
Yeah, E is the best looking and fastest, but I'd say 1701 (the original) both in the show and movies was the best. It was/is the very signature of Star Trek.
And D is HUGE! E's sauser is thinner, than D's. And In Star Trek 10, the front of E's sauser was ripped torn apart.
Yeah but the scimitar seemed to take more damage than the enterprise though. If you look at the scetches for the damaged enterprise mostly only its hull has been torn away, with scimitar having a huger hole.
err...is it me; or isn't this song supposed to be.....uh.......longer?

When they did the crash scene, they used a 12ft saucer section and they moved it with a pick up truck, its on the special features DVD.

Enterprise D beat the Enterprise E??? Errm...Quantum torpedoes & ablative hull armor anyone?

Too bad the new movie has killed the series. Poor Gene would never have allow the new movie to be made in the way it was.

Id love to see the E go back in time and demolish A's ass. That would be soooo cool. heh

Galaxy is the most beautiful design out of them all. But not the most sleek. lol it kinda has luxury liner type qualities.

Yeah the constitution class with or without refit (I favor the refit version a lot though) is something that you recognize easily.

The Enterprise D was the most majestic of all the vessels, imo.
