Hung Gar tiger was created with the help of fu-jow when it was called hark fu moon. In either case, sit deeply, take time with claws and deliver strikes from the stance. Look at everything as very important and the answers will come. The movements are not deserving of your time. They will not be understood unless you take the time. They are ahead of you. A lifetime of discovery awaits you.
@seurng1fjpjkd Well I guess the old saying about nothing worthwhile being easy holds true. Do you teach JKD too? I've heard that Bruce Lee studied Fu-jow for a brief period.
@Emangroove In the Warrior Within there is a beautiful extract of Hui Cambrelen doing the same on the beach...I am sure you already knew it ... but in case you want to check it out ... he has a wonderful a powerful style in my opinion...good luck
@koutsompiskoto pretty sure. they are both Cantonese styles though and most Fu jow vPai masters also knew Hung Gar taditionally so there's a lot of similarity.
@AzzInferno I'm not really sure. Not much is known about the style's history before it was first to revealed to laypersons in the late 1800's by a monk at Hoy Huang temple in Guangzhou. It certainly seems plausible, given the many similarities.
actually not too bad there could use a little brushing up but all in all not bad.
I love that form its a classic.

If you truly love Fu Jow Pai, you should find a good teacher. If you're in the New York area, their are several to chose from.

@seurng1fjpjkd thanks, that sounds like good advice. Are you a fu-jow teacher?

@Emangroove Yes I am. I'm glad you answered. True fu-jow is very difficult to learn.
