How could the North have gone to war against slavery when it was permitted in the constitution at the time. Lincoln had just sworn an oath to uphold that constitution too and by doing that agreed to protect slavery.
@KnightOwl2006 Actually, if you look through the US Constitution, IN NO PART does it mention BEFORE the 13th Amendment, which permitted former slaves the ability to vote.
America is not united. They are united only in their desire to kill Muslims in the middle east. I doubt the union will survive the 21st century.
