walking it to the runway is not a sign of a good pilot. once you loose power,,,,,,,no walking and rudder holding is going to help. hovering is dependent on motor running at peak. a fun novelty but not practical in real flight display. spend less money on a trainer and try to make it last.
The squeaking is the composite desing has a gap only on the bottom of the ailerons trhe top is seam;ess so you are hearing the air going through the gap in the bottom

Sounds like the engine was going sick? but you continued to harrier it? listen to the engine on the harrier, compare it to the rest of the flight, petrols don't sounds like that. Should never have gone low when the engine was sick.
