I love music but am hearing impaired, & voices are mumbly to me, so songs mean nothing... until Adam. I can actually hear LYRICS when Adam sings. I'm mid 40's & 1st time in my life I've become a total fangirl. Someone speculated Adam may have learned tambour (?) control from doing live theatre w/o a mic & needing to project to the back of venue, thenimported that to his music. Schools wouldn't let a deaf kid take music so I don't know if that makes sense or not. But whatever, I HEAR & enjoy him.

@Micsnutty, It's so exciting that someone hearing impaired are also able to enjoy Adam's magnificent voice! BTW I think you may be referring to the timbre of his voice - the tone quality? It is usually pronounced tan'br. But I believe you are correct in thinking Adam would have had to learn how to project his voice - even as an actor he would have needed to learn that. His diction, however, is unusually clear and I believe that clarity has to do also with his perfect voice placement.

The first time I heard this during his run on AI I have goose bumps at his amazing ly clear sound and out of this world breath control. Noone in the pop rock world has a voice like Adam's. He is truly in a class of his own. He is a true gift.

@talatzkomom Actually, in The Ten Commandments, Adam plays Joshua, not Joseph.But whatever he sings..it is ALWAYS INCREDIBLE! He is my favorite singer, ever. And that's a LONG "ever" LOL! ;D <333

Just listen: This is why Adam cannot be compared to any major pop singer in today's seriously lacking talent. He's in a whole different league of quality talent as we can hear when he sings.
