  • blair's a jinx, during his term, diana - princess of wales, then princess margaret, and the queen mother.

  • All those stupid people on here who just dis the Royal Family at any opportunity for no reason and dont know what they are talking about-the Queen Mother was not German, just a lovely lady who married into the Royal Family (just like Princess Diana). And though its true that blood royals (like Prince William) have a fraction of German in them, so too do loads of people around the world and there is nothing wrong with being German anyway. Plus, the Royal Family are a great asset to their nations

  • An extraordinary woman who lived an extraordinary life but, on the other hand, was also ordinary in the very best sense. She was the master of relating to others, no matter who they were or their station life.

  • @floridatom1964 ofcourse the german bitch had a wonderful life... US tax payers paid for her life!!!

  • THE QUEEN IS GERMAN AND SO IS HER INBRED-ED FAMILY...!! ENGLAND DID NOT WIN ANY WARS (UNLESS THEY ARE DREAMING) GERMANY RULE THE UK!!!!

  • @bobbygrewal47 This isn't the place for your idiotic bullshit.

  • @efcboy so what is YOUtube for???

  • @bobbygrewal47 This video is for remembrance, not idiotic bullshit. Go comment on another video you cunt.

  • @bobbygrewal47 STOP COMMENTING WITH YOUR NONSENSE. youre a fucking hypocrit.

  • @Olekander why is it nonsense??? Saxe - Coburg - Gotha was the name of these inbred-ed royal family until 1917, thats when they adopted the name Windsor...! to Bamboozle these Anglo-Saxons aka... so called English people... into believing England won the War... but Germany rule over England. so can you tell me why am i a hypocrite???.. because to me it seems like i know my history and u don't...!

  • @bobbygrewal47 Yes the royal family is german by blood. But so what? we beleive in civic nationality not ethnic nationality so theres no damn difference wehter theyre from germany 300 years ago or not!

  • @Olekander are u stalking me... over the net. listen... i dont even know what u are ... but i couldn't care less for u or that German inbred-ed whore who died...! now go and wank over her death...

  • Princess Diana died In a car crash In Paris On 31st August 1997 aged 37.

Queen Mother has died On Easter Saturday 30th March 2002 aged 101.

    R.I.P Diana Princess Of Wales (22nd July 1960- 31st August 1997).

R.I.P Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother

    (4th August 1900- 30th March 2002).

  • 102 is old, older then most normal folk, its funny how she lives so long, they really took care of her didnt they, just shows u how unhealthy we are cos most normal ppl die before they are 85. If u are looked after and not poisened by the drinking, smoking, bad foods, hard work ect u live a MUCH longer life.

  • Just wait 'till the Queen dies. Oh my oh my, Britain will go BONKERS.

  • @mrlopez2681 Let's not talk of such things yet. Long May She Reign.

  • @1AdrianR - But we must talk of such things. She is 85 as of right now, September 2011. She will not be around much longer, & even if she is around for, say, 15 or so more years, old age will sadly take away more & more of her facilities. I have a feeling Charles will abdicate, & that the family knows exactly what will happen next w/ regard to succession.

  • @mrlopez2681 To be fair, she has been our head of state for 59 years - and her approval rating has been constantly higher than any other western Head of State (or head of Government), I think that warrants to go a bit "bonkers" when she should die. But if she's anything like her mother that could be another 2 decades (making her reign ~80 years).

  • My mom met her and got a picture with her in the paper

  • RIP Mam

  • I swear Prince William and Harry are always skiing when something happens!!

  • @JagopersonOfficial LoL ur right cause they got nothing else to do fucking lucky bastards dont got shit to do

  • @JagopersonOfficial Tax payers money for these inbred-ed german fools... what else would u do when u have FREE money to play with??

  • @kwesiidun. Well said! You've no idea how many Royal sites I've been on with people thinking that Britain means England. I've had to correct them because it ticks me off! Even some of the English themselves are so narrow-minded by thinking this, too. Or perhaps they're just arrogant. Thank you for stressing this fact...

  • @briklay Awww is baby sad cause parliament enacted another socialist law that made you loose your job and forced to live inside a box floating down the Thames. Maybe if Her Majesty dissolve parliament and declined to reappoint one, then we could actually get things done and be proud of our country again with a head of government that actually cares about duty, then those idiot politicians would actually have to work a minimum wage shacks where those bastards belong!

  • Fuck you we will Never be a republic WTF is wrong with u its part of our culture there not that bad for gods sake.

  • Thumbs up if you think queen Elizabeth II will live past 102

  • i remember watching this in assembly at my school!

    Rest in peace Elizabeth.

  • 102 years old. Those human embryo milkshakes sure do work.

  • Oh my god! I actually watched this! I was bored, ended up watching a TV bloopers show, then it was interupted with this! I was only eight at the time.

  • We'll name a perimeter highwayafter her..

  • Dont give a fuck. Blue blooded royals who think they are the best benefit scrounging off us, she lived to hundred and something anyway off our stolen money. Theyre getting it at the royal wedding, i wanna be a british citizen not a british Subject.

  • @joinusinson Agree 100%.

  • @Airr91 If you retain your "looks" until 101 then i'd say you have a point.

  • i miss the queen mum ;(

  • a loss to our country

  • I remember when I was seven, I sent a picture of the Queen Mother that I drew from a book, and sent it to her with a letter (meant for the Queen, but I didn't know the difference), and actually got a reply from Margaret Rhodes, as her lady-in-waiting.

  • @WorldNews92 That's so cute!!! :P

  • This is why we could never have a monarchy in America, there's no one we remotely care about that much. Ok. Lindsey Lohan, but no one else.

  • I just LOVE BBC's music... LOL!

  • I remember coming back home with my then 11th month old daugther in the buggy and looking through the front room window and seeing the headline on the tv that the Queen Mother had died.

  • Queen Elizabeth was an amazing lady!

  • i miss her :'(

  • Remarkable woman.

  • @MrCatholicforever Not true. I am also related by blood, but so distantly it doesn't even really count. My great great great grandfather was a Duke in London but was stripped of his title because he married an American, moved to America, and refused to come back. The current Queen was a cousin of my great great grandfather.

  • Even though I am an American, I am related to Her Majesty by blood, I haven't had a chance to comment yet as I was serving in the military. But, I have always loved England, and she represented the best in England all the people that live in that great nation.

  • @piperstune

    bullocks, absolute bullocks!

  • @piperstune The United Kingdom ISN'T just England! It's Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland aswell! get it right, or better still go back to school to get some geography lessons! Typical narrow minded yank!!!! The queen mother was a positive symbol for the whole of Britain, NOT just England!

  • she was wonderfull...i loved her and i love my queen..

  • "She symbolised Britain's decency and courage"

  • GOD BLESS OUR QUEEN!!!

  • The Queen Mother was my favourite. Very closely behind is Princess diana. RIP!

  • i dread the day that queen Elizabeth 11 dies too. god bless

  • This was a very sad day for Britain...

    God bless you Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon...

  • The last royal I actually liked and respected - RIP

  • Thankfully we didn't have months of TV black out - Diana's death fixed that

  • Amazing woman. RIP ma'am.

  • She was a tough old girl...and my favorite member of the Royal Family!! I miss her!

  • This is unacceptable. They shouldn't have let her go so easily. They'd have cut open her chest and do internal CPR Princess Diana's style. Put her on heart-lung machine, inject high dose of epinephrin directly into her heart chamber. Use defribbrillator to jump start her heart. Then put her on robotic life support. Why did they not try these!

  • I went to see her lying in state in westminster hall. We qued right across lambeth bridge and down the south bank. it was an amazing experience and not at all morbid. It was the british people showing how much love and respect for her.(despite what the nay sayers would have you believe) .Inside the hall we were lucky enough to see the guard change so we all stopped to see the unique ceremony. Ill never forget that day.

  • WHAT A WOMAN!!!

  • Genocidal maniac!

  • Isn't the queen (actually her family - the Windsor's) is one of the 10 wealthiest families on earth?? I think the family has a total worth of about $35 billion!! Why all the sadness - there are dozens waiting in line behind her - to take the Billion$ and do her job - (smile and wave)!!!!!

  • @Earthlinked The fact that you ask the question highights that you simply don't understand, and no amount of explaining is going to help with that.

  • @mezzer99 wELL THAT MAKES NO SENSE AT ALL - so you are saying that England's government is unexplainable????? Doubtful!!

  • @Earthlinked No, it just can't be explained to those who think all the monarchy's job is to smile and wave. Out of interest, have you ever served in any public role?

  • @mezzer99 No - but the queen is not a public role - she is the head of the British government - isn't she??? I'm sure she has other roles - but for the most part - she is nothing more than a figurehead - she serves no part in the business of governing people!!!! It is a democracy - and she was born into the role!!!

  • So why does England even have a queen? She has no powers - she is only there for cermonial purposes. I guess they make a lot of money from tourism coming to see the queens houses and such!!!

  • @Earthlinked The monarchy has played a significant part to the way the UK stands as a nation today. As a matter of fact, the Queen possess powers which she may exercise at her own discretion such as refusal to dissolve the Parliament and dismissal of a prime minister and his government etc.Though, in the last century those powers have rarely been exercised. It's not always about the money..

  • @locovanpete It is 100% about the money!! The Queen (her family the Windsors) owns half of London - if she were poor and pennyless - they would pay no attention to her at all - why would they? Sure she has the powers to dissolve Parliament - but we all know - she'd NEVER do it - they would put her away!!! In America we have the legal right - we CAN fire the president - dissolve congress and start over - but nobody would even know how to start doig this - or we'd already done it!!

  • @Earthlinked first of all,I don't want you to change your mind,it's your opinion after all & it is well respected. It's not only for what she is,it's about what she represents. In Greece we have the president of democracy as the head of state and likewise he has a rather ceremonial role.He represents our nation's ideals & history..Correct me if I'm wrong but the US have never been a kingdom.Monarchy on the other hand has always been a part of Europe and I think this is why you people can't get it.

  • @locovanpete America has ALWAYS been a representitive republic (NOT a democracy - we elect officials to do our voting in Washington - a democracy does not!) Our president is not cereminial - all laws must pass his signature or they do not become law.

You are allowed to be whatever you want to be and this is the reason that out immigration is over 1,000,000 per month that apply!!!!!!!! You are entitled to be whatever you want - and you are not helped nor hurt by your families lineage!!!!!

  • @Earthlinked I didn't say that he is just for ceremonial reasons, for example laws must pass too from his signature I'm just telling you that things are different here in Europe. Anyhow, I believe we are being a bit irrelevant by comparing our systems. have fun!

  • @locovanpete I agree - the queen is ONLY for ceremonial reasons. In this day and age - she is there to keep the visitors happy - to wave in parades and that is about it!!!!! She is a figurhead and nothing more!!!!! They'll let her keep her money - but she must do as she is told - stay out of trouble and protect the monarch!!!!!!!

  • @Earthlinked I find the British form of government to be the most sound and accountable. Here in the United States, we have found ourselves cursed with the Imperial Presidency, who has his own agenda, and bullies the House to pass the laws he sees fit, and it is the President who seems to hold the purse strings. When looking at our Constitution, you would think the Speaker of the House to be the highest political office, in control of the body with the purse strings, the ability to declare war

  • @CrasEntertainment The president can delcare war - there is little that the president cannot do - and much the speaker (3rd in line) cannot do!!!! We have basically the same as Britain except no queen - no king - instead a president and no Prime Minister. I'd say it is about 95% the same thing!!!

  • @Earthlinked A key difference is that the PM is also an MP and can be replaced, leaving the party to stay in power if the MPs lose confidence in their leader. Here in the US you can have a lame duck President for years, the British system works to avoid that.

  • @Earthlinked The queen has ultimate power, if she wanted to, she could ditch parliament and take control of everything.

  • @mistersmexy REALLY? Would they really allow this to happen? It all depends on who is the head of the military - is that teh queen also?

  • @Earthlinked The head of the military is oathed to the queen, not the parliament, as are all soldiers, but the queen orders them to serve under parliament, if she wanted to, she could take control of them also, but she will never risk it incase of civil war.

  • @mistersmexy Same as in the USA!!! All military troops are oathed to the president - and to defending the US constitution. And ONLY the president can order troops around - but takes advice from the "Cheifs Of Staff" which is 4 people - the head of the Army, Navy, Marines and Air Force. They also have a Joint Chief Of Staff - 1 of them (by rank/military length) that is responsable for the other 3 - reports only to the president - it is a cabnet position! Pretty much the same as England.

  • @mistersmexy The only difference is that in order for ANY military person to take agressive action - an act of war must be declared and only Congress can OK the military to take military action agains another nation!!! If the president dies or another president is elected - they all go to their commander and are oathed to the new president - never to the idiots in Congress!!! That was Vietnam - congress people were ordering military moves - and most had no idea what they were doing!!!!!!

  • twll ei thin hi!! yr hen gont!!!

  • Please, watch the sequence at 5:01 and listen to the sounds of the lone piper walking in front of Buckingham Palace and playing a final tribute to Her late Majesty. Doesn't this moment embody everything that makes the British people, the British values and traditions and the British Monarchy so special, so extraordinary, so great?

A final tribute by a humble German

  • @Nathanderweise8 humble german? The Windsors or rather the Saxe Coburg Gothas are also humble germans

  • god bless her

  • Her daughter will probably out live everyone reading this.

  • Wow, 101! It does pay to have a G&T every day doesn't it? Good for her. Rest in Peace.

  • 101 thats great

  • @mickbelfast how can you be so disrespectfull shame on you

  • @mickbelfast - I am with u on this one!!!!

  • hahahahahahah!!!

  • I remember hearing the news as if it was yesterday.

  • They didn't stop going on and on and on and on about this for a long time. Thank goodness there was a the net where a more balanced view could be sought.

  • The greatest tribute the Queen Mum ever received was from none other than Hitler when he called her "the most dangerous woamn in Europe" during World War II.

  • I think there will be even more historic news when the Queen herself dies

  • @apft94 Good Lord, I don't even want to think about that!

  • @apft94 i could see that happening, that could be b/c she is the oldest queen in history

  • @apft94

ofcourse, as she's the monarch, it'll mean more

  • I remember us in Canada were quite saddened at the loss of the Queen Mother. She always stood for integrity and simplicity and held Canada and Canadians in her heart.

  • The Queen and Arafat RIP!

  • @Babuzar The Queen isn't dead.

  • Poor lady :( What an inspirational woman! She was such a lovely lady and so kind. God bless the Queen Mother!

  • I think its amazing she was able to walk at age 100+. Especially for three hours. Amazing!

  • God bless the Queen & Queen Mum!

  • Where is his BLACK TIE? DISRESPECTFUL

  • why would he have a black tie on?

  • @anchorman87 respect to the dead. clearly, you don't know protocol.

  • umm he didn't come in the the studio and go 'hrmm the queen mother is going to

die so a black tie is needed...'. When rushing to air a breaking story like this, why waste time changing outfits!

Peter Sissons would have right to be quite annoyed that you are doubting his respect. you english are so silly with such trivial things.

  • @anchorman87 actual fact - the BBC has clothes ready for such occasions. Over and out. And i'm not english.

  • really? how strange, such trivial things...

well still I think he managed to deliver the news in a very respectful way and any suggestion he was being disrespectful is ridiculous.

  • @anchorman87 Actually the BBC prepare for such things.

  • bkack ties have NOTHING to do with respect

  • There is no such protocol.

  • @Popperite Yes there is write to the BBC and ask - fool.

  • @myrnaloysboy I wan't talking about the ceremonial preferences of the BBC. I couldn't care less about them. Just polite and private society.

  • "A very trying and regretful event."

Trying? "102 year old woman dies". Hold the front page!

She couldn't live forever- even the most ardent monarchist would admit that.

  • @anonUK OMG-I refreshed the page to read my comment...then when I saw this I thought this was my comment for a minute. I don't mean any disrespect but I said the exact same thing you did...

  • watever happened to old tea towel head?

  • I was in my car when i heard this dreadful news, back in 2002,I remember this as if it were yesterday. A very trying and regretful event.

  • @CanadianMonarchist1 'A very trying and regretful event'? Yes, it's sad when anyone dies but the woman was 101 years old for Pete's sake! She had to die sometime! It was a blessing that she lived as long as she did and that she had a long and privileged life.

Regretful? What-you thought she'd live forever or something????? Just askin'...

  • @CanadianMonarchist1 what a life she had!! but shame she hadn't heard of a dentist!! black toothed hag

  • @CanadianMonarchist1

Regretful? She was 101, she wasn't going to live forever!

  • @CanadianMonarchist1 what's so dreadful about it? she was 101.

  • the Ballet ident :D

  • god bless her

  • Poor woman
